Beginning with three fiery stages in the Basque Country, the 2023 Tour de France had it all, from sprinter showdowns and medium-mountain breakaway days, to lofty summit finishes and the all-important time trials.
The Grand Départ brought a battle between the GC contenders right from the off, with race-favourites Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogačar trading blows from the very first day. Their rivalry would continue throughout the three weeks as they vied for the coveted yellow jersey, as would that between the likes of Neilson Powless and Giulio Ciccone for the polka-dot jersey.
Not to be outdone in his final Tour de France hurrah, Thibaut Pinot lit up the breakaway on the penultimate stage in trademark style. For all that and so much more, we have compiled the best bits from the 21 stages, so kick back, unwind and indulge in this season’s biggest spectacle!

Looking back at it, I think Jonas got in Pogi’s head on stage 5. He set the tone between their “rivalry” and then just hung back for a few stages on his wheel. So in the back of Pogi’s mind he already knows Jonas beat him out and now he has to guess what Jonas’ next move is going to be. Kinda genius.
Philipsen will always be dead to me after taking that win away from Cav!
