All help appreciated in getting to know this seemingly Dodsun-produced ride!
Details: just bought off marketplace, prev owner knows nothing but the bike tells many things. Frame – Dodsun, but a stylized text says ”Specialized by” just in front of the Dodsun logo. Components are mostly Shimano 600, handlebar is the ”Sakar Custom Japan, Road Champion” with ”SR” being marked on the steering stem.
Unsure (not assuming) that saddle (Viscount) or the bar tape (interesting choice of bright blue to almost match the frame).
Some confusion arise at the frame number, as it looks weak and double stamped (see last image) but my interpretation of the top row of ”digits” would be: (DSBM) 4-01-0050
Thus it could be a 1984 production, which aligns with the possibility that it actually took part in the 1987 edition of swedish 315km race ”Vätternrundan” from which it has a sticker attached..
Grateful for any support and suggestions on the history/manufacturing of this one, as I have become very fond of it already and plan to keep it
