My name is Vanabel and I’m currently riding my bike from Norway all the way to South Africa and we are currently in Spain. Today is day 144 of our world tour and so come along for the ride. We left Samura this morning and are heading to Salamanca. It’s about 50 miles I think and yeah, the sun was shining so I had to put some sunscreen on for the first time in a while. I probably should be putting it on every day, but that’s neither here nor there. Um, we were on pretty rough gravel track all day and so it was kind of slow moving for the first bit of the day. We stopped in like a small town to pick up a few snacks and have a soda at like the local bar. And as we were leaving, someone tried to have a conversation with Alex and I. And obviously it was all in Spanish and I think I did a pretty good job of like explaining what was going on and where we were going. Um, so I was kind of proud of myself for that, but I definitely stumbled through it and I just want to get better at Spanish. After that, we saw that there was like a service road of the highway and so we got off the gravel track and rode on that and it was so much faster. And yeah, we made it to Salamanca. We’re going to hang out for a day or two and that’s all for today. I’ll see you guys tomorrow and yeah, bye.
