What’s up, guys? It’s Sam at Cycle Technology. Excuse me. Outside and it’s starting to rain. So, we won’t take long to tell you about this new gravel bike from Trek. This is the Checkpoint Plus. Um, we’ve just been trying to find out all the information about it. Uh, because at the time of making this video, this bike was still under embargo. But, I can tell you that it’s got the new TQ HPR60 motor. So, 10 more Newton meters of power than the HPR50, obviously. Um, it comes with the 360Wh battery. Uh, all in this pretty cool, maybe not the color, but the bike itself’s a pretty cool little package. I’ve just been for a spin on it. Yes, you can pull wheelies on it. It weighs 14 something kg, which is less than my Analog Trek Fuel EX, so pretty pretty damn light for a gravel bag. As you can see, it’s got these Rock Shock Judy XPLR forks on it. So, they’re just like a low travel uh gravel fork. Uh, it’s got carbon bars on it. It’s got Stram. Of course, it got Stram on it. Shramm Force. Lovely, tasty levers, axis levers that work with the Stram Xt type rear derailer. So, it’s got a 1×12 system. Really good drivetrain that really good at shifting under load, which is perfect for ebikes. It’s got the uh Bontrega Aololis 35 mil carbon wheels on it and some really cool new um force calipers as well, which I like the look of. The brakes are super sharp. The bike rides pretty sweet. Um, yeah, not much else I can tell you about it. Those of you that are out there cruising up and down the canal tow paths on long travel enduro ebikes, probably should have got yourself one of these.
