Hello. Today is day 142 of riding my bike around the world and day 12 of riding my bike through Spain. We had an amazing like six miles getting out of the city with beautiful bike lanes. There was a little bit that was under construction which was kind of a bummer, but the rest was lovely. And then we were on the EV1 for most of the first part of the day. The EV1 is a big long-distance biking route. It goes from like the top of Norway all the way to the south of Spain. Um it has been freezing like 32°. I think that’s like 10 Celsius. So, kind of tough. We’ve passed so many abandoned buildings in Spain. Um, yeah, they’re all over the place and like all in different states of disrepair. It’s kind of interesting, but also a little bit spooky. Stopped and had some lunch and continued on our way. We were kind of on and off from like really bumpy gravel and dirt to roads. We saw these beautiful trees covered in crochet granny squares. I love crochet and that made me so happy to see. The color is just so fun. We were doing like 53 miles today, which I think is 80k. Okay, I think I’m getting better at my um metric to like imperial conversions. I forget the word for what the American system is. Um yeah, we had our first and only climb at the very end of the day getting up to the town we were staying in. And then I jammed my bike into an elevator to get it to our room. We had some churros and some tapas to end the night and it was lovely. I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye.
