Just moved over to the UK and I’m starting things off in the gorgeous county of Dorset. Here’s a look at some of what I got up to my first weekend.
Hi, I’m Louis Gibson. I’m 18 years old and I just decided to move to England. So, first off, this adventure, we are in Sherborn, Dorset. Just classic premier English countryside. Been here 5 days. First weekend in Sherborn is in the books. And so, here’s a look of what I got up to. My biggest first goal is to actually spend some money and get myself a Premier road bike. Obviously, it takes more than one week to decide on one. I was stuck using my sister’s bike. Right. Good morning. It does have a Shimano group, which that’s pretty good, but it is really small on me, which does make it uncomfortable to ride. No idea where we’re going. So everything’s in the bench here, but let’s get after it and expect the new helmet. Going safe today. All right. So, it is raining just a little bit. It’s actually first time it’s rained since I got here. So, my first taste of some true English weather. And then another wrinkle about this bike is I don’t have a tool. Left it at home in America to uh change the pedals out and put on my clipless pedals. So, I don’t know if you can see, but yeah, those aren’t really doing the trick. Yeah. Yeah. Lovely. A little bit of wind. True authentic English conditions, but it’s good. Slow, but good. And then back out to the pub. Had myself a really good night. I’ll I’ll keep it a buck. Then, because we’re locked in, we got up the next morning and went straight back out. [Music] All right, we’re out here Dorsa countryside. It’s called the Monarch Way. It’s a little public footpath enjoying it. We’re having a good time. And then don’t know if you can see but there’s bloody barbed wire on the turn style thing on thing you hop over. But yeah, there’s just plenty of these all across the country. You just hop over them and then there’s barely even a path. Sometimes you just got to just start walking in the right direction then going to the next one. So it’s pretty awesome. Probably one of my favorite things about England. It is awesome up here. It’s so windy, but getting some serious elevation. Yes. Go right up to the top there. All right, made it to the top of this one hill. Just giving you a 360 cuz this is this is out of this world.
