¡Hola!

  1. I have a CFR built June 2025 that does the same thing. When climbing with power output of 350w or more, I get one “thump” or “pop” every pedal stroke. Never happens at lower power outputs. Still happens when out of the saddle or with no pressure on the headset.

Both of you need to take your bikes to a shop. These issues are easy to fix if you invest in the tools but it isn’t for everyone. If indeed a bottom bracket issue you can cause hard to repair damage if you wait too long. Sometimes the actual fix for the noise is easy and cheap. Could be just loose or a preload issue or just a bad bearing.

Are you seated when you’re pedalling when you hear the noise? If so, I’d say there’s more chance the noise is coming from the seat post.

I had a similar issue a few months back and I was convinced it was the bottom bracket so I rang my LBS. He said the chances that the BB was making the noise was very slim and in most cases it’s never the BB making a noise. He suggested I look at the seat post and also the seat rails – which I did. I used Park Tool’s SAC-2 Supergrip paste and torqued all bolts to spec. Job done and no more annoying noises.

Hey guys, I recorded these videos where you can hear the noise perfectly… Let me know what you think.

I’m getting a little worried reading this, now I doubt I made a mistake in choosing Canyon…

Here where I live, the nearest shop listed on their website is 300 km away.

Honestly, I have no idea where the noise is coming from, but it’s not from the seatpost.

I can hear the clicks of the pedals when I push, and when I release the pressure and the bike “lifts,” it also makes a sound, as you can hear…
