Hey everyone
I’m about to buy my first serious road bike, and I’m looking at some carbon options with Shimano 105 Di2. One that really caught my eye is the Wilier Garda 105 Di2 — I like the clean internal cable routing and the endurance-oriented geometry, since I plan to use it for 70.3 triathlon training, gran fondos, and long rides.
I’ve also looked at the Scott Addict 30 Di2 and the Giant TCR Advanced 2 (mechanical), but the Garda seems to offer the best mix of comfort and modern electronic shifting.
A few questions:
- Anyone here with first-hand experience on the Wilier Garda?
- How’s the frame quality and overall build compared to Scott, Giant, or Canyon?
- Would you say it’s a solid choice as a first “serious” bike (so I don’t outgrow it in 6–12 months)?
- Any thoughts on real weight and climbing performance?
Any feedback, reviews, or advice would be super appreciated 🙏
Also open to other bikes under ~US$3k (around MXN$60k ) with 105 Di2 or similar specs.
