My second fixed gear conversion I bought from some fixie foo on Craigslist at the beginning of my foray into cycling. This acquisition is a direct response to not being able to financially obtain a real fixed frame at the time. I wish I had photos of this guy at the start but it was this chrome/mustard yellow at the beginning. My first attempt at remedying my ride experience – my horrible streets, tire flats, and absolute garbage riding experience. I always wanted the feeling of being able to ride mostly anywhere which was always appealing to me. Last iteration of this involved me repainting it with purple automotive with a heavy dose of gold fx dumped in the automotive clear and the paint itself. There can really be too much gold, believe it or not. I remember really enjoy riding this bike before I ended up with some higher end frames. I currently have it stripped down raw ready for respray waiting to come alive again. Although, I truly want to correct the dropout job I had done if for anything just to address how much is left to be desired for looks and aesthetics. Functionally they work and get the job done.
