Late summer last minute biketrip to Paganella, Italy with @LukeMarkensMTB
The initial plan started with Nauders but the predictions were not good. Other options were Lenzerheide, Aosta/La Thuile but in the end Paganella had the most dry days.
For me it was the first time in the Dolomites and the keywords are: Steep, loose, rough, roots, rocks, damp and epic views.
We mainly focussed on the natural and shared trails, which were pretty challenging due to their character combined with a lot of moisture.
After Sölden I upgraded the Jam² with a pair of Saints and a 220mm disk in the back. Even with this upgrade it was sometimes hard to slow down or control speed due to the gravel-like underground with lots of slippery roots and rocks. Most of these trails are rated S4 so not for the faint of heart, especially when damp or wet. I guess I learned a thing ot 2 and made some extra progression in the wet-department.
I did not carry the GP every day but I think this is a nice summary of this trip. Enjoy 🙂
