no [Music] it’s so cool flying the drone over the lake but uh welcome back to the Vlog someone said in the comments a few days ago I should start a vlog and tell you what day it is so welcome back to the Vlog it is Monday morning here in the Lake District yesterday was Easter Sunday I didn’t Vlog it was just uh a family day we went for a walk my grandma’s dog Millie which is crazy by the way was jumping off a wall into a reservoir to fetch a sticks time did you get it and um yeah it was just a chill day with the family it was Easter Sunday and then in the evening I dropped Georgia off at the train station she has to go back home unfortunately and uh here we are now Monday morning looking forward to starting another week of training I’m heading over to a climb called kirkstone pass to do some intervals this morning kirkstone pass is probably my favorite climb in the UK I don’t know why it just is so that’s where I’m going to go this morning let’s go kirkstone pass I’m heading to kirkstone pass from the bottom to the top it’s about 20 minutes in length it’s fairly consistent all the way up and therefore makes it ideal for 20 minute intervals so today session is a classic fdp razor session I’m doing three 20 minute Sweet Spot intervals sweet spot for those of you that don’t know is high Zone 3/ low Zone 4 it’s kind of that crossover area I thought you know whilst we’re in the late District let’s make the most out of the long climb so that’s what I’m doing I’m looking forward to it the weather’s pretty good there’s not much wind about let’s have a good session just finished interval number one uh there’s not a lot at the top of this climb it’s kind of a little bit Bleak right in the distance you can see the lake windir through the two valleys or through the valley but other than that it’s just Fields sheep classic English country climb but uh we’ve got two more inters to go I’m heading back down to the bottom of the hill now for the next one let’s get [Music] it all the intervals are done now I’m just rolling down kirkstone pass for the final time okay switched across to the iPhone because the camera battery ran out intervals completed done all three Sweet Spot intervals I’m just rolling down kirkstone pass now for the final time and uh I just saw someone on a electric bike during today’s intervals I’ve actually seen quite a few people on electric bikes and to be honest with you given the terrain around here I’m not surprised you’re either going up or you’re going down there’s no flat around here but uh anyway really really good session today super happy with the legs and with the intervals I’ve got about 20 minute ride home from kirkstone pass so I’m just going to take it easy chill out cruise home and just enjoy it because work’s done work’s [Music] done there are humans absolutely everywhere boness is so busy you see I didn’t get to film as much as I would have liked to on today’s ride my main pocket camera the Canon g7x ran out of battery during today’s ride so I switched across to my iPhone which I thought which I thought would be okay but it turns out when I’m using the front-facing camera for whatever reason the microphone doesn’t work it doesn’t pick up my voice it only works when I’m using the back facing microphone now on the iPhone the microphone is down here and therefore when I’m riding I want to cover that microphone from from any wind therefore it doesn’t just sound like and so you can actually hear me long story short long story short when I was trying to film on my iPhone today I was having to hold it like this so the back was facing me kind of have my hand bent around the back of the phone so it’s like this and this try it yourself of your phone is kind of an awkward position to hold it so uh yeah review of vlogging with the iPhone not great not [Music] great all right no one’s at home all of my family are down at the lake which is about a 3 or 4 mile drive down the road there’s no cars here for me to use so I was going to ride down but it’s just started raining and I don’t want to get wet so so yeah I don’t know what to do maybe I’ll just give it 10 minutes and and hope that it blows over and stops raining [Music] all right the rain has stopped there appears to be a little break in the rain so I’m using this an opportunity to ride down to the lake hopefully it doesn’t start I mean it’s still spitting but hopefully it doesn’t start raining properly until I arrive I’ll take it I’ll take it it could be worse I’ll take it going to go in the water mot no you going in no please go no no all right so I can wake board I can’t wake surf but I can wake board there is now a 10 mph speed limit on Lake wind so you can’t legally weight board because the weight board you need to do more than 10 m hour but you can wake surf at 10 m hour so this afternoon Edward is going to attempt to teach me how to W her my cousin Matthew is currently on the kneeboard and then in a little bit it’s my [Music] turn reckon I can do it yeah I tell you what cam you you you’ve definitely got the legs for it wo like literally like you sat on the toilet you know how you do weight boarding yeah but you put your feet up like that Rush your heels yeah and as soon as the boat starts pulling you you dig your heels in so it flattens off and then you get up it’s like a weight yeah but obviously you’re not strapped in yeah get your full turn back [Music] you going to sing what think song is m i got up first time how do you think of that I know you’re not filming but both done I am filming think you not I am and I’m driving tell us what you’re going to do Ed I’m I’m going to go crazy I’m going to do some flips I’m an auto okay [Music] made it home from the Lake District and uh that is the conclusion of today’s Vlog thanks for watching and I’ll see you [Music] tomorrow hey Cam that was better than your racing

Should start velodrome racing!
Amazing editing around half way
Cam I love your videos. These vids are great for 2 reasons 1. For the amazing editing and 2. For just how entertaining you are👍
quite an extraordinary 1st time – grats
Earphones with fluffy bit over the mic piece . I cut a fluffy piece out of the wifes best cushions and used a elastic band too hold it on .
So, that what the Lake District looks like? I was there years ago, but it was foggy, so saw nothing.
My favourite climb is Hexton!
Which of the 3 sides did you do it from, I guess Troutbeck (nearest to Windermere)? The Struggle from Ambleside is the hardest & the Patterdale side is a bit of a grind too!
good video cam. love the drone work on the lake. lake District reminds me alot of my backyard in Scotland very similar. nice family time video. good work 👌
i would love to try wake boarding omg!
At 4:12 ish the dog keeps dropping the stick so Cam will notice him and throw the stick, It's hilarious. Dogs are so smart.
cam, what go pro mount do you use? do you use a garmin/goPro mount? if so, what one?
very cool vlog today Cam, that water looked absolutely freezing but very cool 🏄. the drone shits at the start are great but the area is just so beautiful. watching you do the 3 efforts up that climb has shamed me on to going for a ride so until tomorrow, catch you later
Looks like a blast on the lake … do yourself a favor & buy a case for your iPhone or you are bound to break the glass … again.
You bought the black and green Kask Protone but don't wear it?
You have a privileged life Cam coming from a comfortable middles class family.
At the beginning i thought this was a vegan cyclist vid. loving the new music and ofc the vlogs bro
Is Kirkstone pass also known as the Struggle or am I thinking of an other climb in the Lake District
Just watched the Vlog… really cool as I was over the other side doing a 50 miler on Sunday while on a weekend break with the family. All the things you said about the terrain is exactly what I said! That place is brutal and as I'm getting over an injury, it chewed me up and spat me out! Looking forward to coming again when I'm fit to do the same route. I see you have not done Bessy Bank near Lowick Bridge? Have a go if you fancy a steep tester – it finished me off! Great vid work BTW.
Cam what bar tape did you buy? and is it double wrapped?
Mate, you're a true content creator… How you do it day in day out, Rockstar!
How far is the lake from your house? Looks fun.
Cam life of Tom uses nothing but an iPhone and has millions of subs lol day in day out iPhone vlogging 😳
Suppose just depends what you're used too 👍🏻
Cam, I think you need to learn how to check the radar data bud haha. Or are clouds just made of different stuff 'cross the pond there?
Not a fan of the 2 ads
How may i message you privately for a cancer fundraiser?

Hey cam, sick video, I love your vlogs. I love Windermere. Last summer I did a SUP Race on Lake Windermere, 10 miles. I am a SUP Racer and I Race all round the UK on the national series. Keep up the the awesome work.
Have you ever been up dunno fell cam the golf ball you should come and film very scenic
Enjoyed the vlog mate. Happy Easter
just came back from the Lakes. Spent a couole of nights in Ambleside. Did Fred Whitton, some beautiful roads and monster climbs. We don't see much of that in your vlog, which is a shame. looks like you did south side of Kirkstone, which is the way we went up on Sunday. Had to go back following day to add north side as it is one of 100climbs. its a little harder. Didn't fancy The Struggle tho. drove up it and thought na! stopped to take a bunch of pics as the views are great.
Take a look at the rode videomic go it is basically the answer to your problem!
