Our Boat & Bike Tour begins with a scenic train journey from Frankfurt Airport to Koblenz and Saarburg.
In Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet, we explore the historic old town, riverside promenades, and the take a cable car up to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress to overlook the city.
Continuing to Saarburg, we discover a charming medieval town filled with half-timbered houses, vineyards, and a dramatic waterfall cascading through the village center.
This unforgettable route combines Germany’s most picturesque landscapes with culture, history, and adventure – the perfect start to our cycling and cruising journey along the Moselle River.

Um, we’re in Germany and we’re going to be uh doing a boat and bike trip here. It’s a 6-day trip. We get on a bike that we borrow from the boat and we bike between 25 to 30 m a day along the river and then we meet back up with the boat at the end of the day. So, it’s our floating hotel and it goes on like this for 6 days doing biking or staying on the boat. you you actually have a choice what you want to do depending on the weather, how you feel. You don’t always have to bike. You could stay on the boat if you want. So, uh should be a fun trip. There’s going to be nine of us that are traveling together. Uh friends from the Squim area where we live. We uh bike together there and we all decided to come do this adventure. Today’s video pretty much uh going to tell you about our adventure of getting from Frankfurt airport to uh Sarberg which is where our boat starts for our week-l long boat and bike trip. So, a little bit about the town of uh Goldlin, which is where we are. It’s a uh small city uh that’s nested between where two rivers come together, the Moselle and the Rine. And uh it’s a quite old city. It’s uh has a lot of historical buildings and some modern buildings. It has a uh great prominads that you walk along for uh walking on both rivers. There’s a cable car takes you across the rine to a fort that overlooks the area and uh just has a lot of nice things. So, what I’ll do is I’ll show you some pictures of of a few hours we had here. [Music] This is where the Moselle, which you’re looking at now, and the Ryan River, which you’re looking at now, where they come together and meet. Sure. No. What is this? [Music] [Applause] So, now it’s going to be time to uh leave the town of uh Coblin where we are and take the train to uh Sarberg. It’s about a 2-hour train ride. Here we are in the hotel lobby having some coffee chitchatting before we go final pack up for trip to Sar. Oh, that’s not fair. Oh, there’s words on this side. Doesn’t matter. Some wonderful weather we’re having here. We’re waiting for our train that’s going to take us to Saltird. We finally made it on the train. It was a little bit of a fiasco. It’s story for another time. Here we are at Sberg. This is a really really cute old old town with all kinds of neat architecture and places to just sit and have coffee or drinks and cafes and it’s just a wonderful spot. put it on your bucket list to come see this place sometime. So anyway, I’ll show you some pictures of it. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Look how old these steps are. Oh, here we are at the base of the uh castle and we’re going to go take a walk up to the top and take a look. Here’s our boat looking down from on top of the castle. I am anything with the 3000 step. I guess the wall is pretty old. Hope you enjoyed seeing uh our adventure of getting to our boat for the start of our boat and bike trip. Uh more to come in our next video. Thanks for watching.
