Southend suffer their first home defeat of the season in a manner many will want to forget quickly.. a poor second half showing gifted The Iron 2 goals which could have easily increased if not for Colin Andeng-Ndi in the Shrimpers goal, With a Tuesday night trip to Boreham Wood on the horizon Blues will need to re group and find a way to score, fast!

We were humiliated, bullied all over the field. That first half performance, you thought we could go on and get something from this game. Then to come out in the second half and respond from that first 45 like that is criminal. I think absolutely against everything in the previous seasons this club has worked towards and a game to celebrate Kevin Mayer his 200th game and the players I felt underperformed for him today didn’t show the levels of intensity that we’ve seen in the last few games or this season so far so I just hit my radio there but no not good enough at all and maybe opens a few eyes as to where we are going to be this season that’s now well York draw against lost against anoron woodoo today I think won off top head and they’re in the plus as well. So, more hardships to come on Tuesday, hopefully we can turn this corner and move on. But ultimately, it’s been a week to forget for the Blues.
