Tired of intimidating bike parks for your first mountain bike ride? Discover a hidden gem! 🤫 In this video, we’re hitting the gorgeous and gentle trails of Valkenswaard near Eindhoven.
This is real Dutch nature riding, perfect for building your skills and confidence. We’ll follow the official MTB route (often the Green or easiest loop) through magical heathland and peaceful pine forests. It’s the ultimate playground for beginners, with forgiving terrain, fun twists, and just enough challenge to make you feel like a true mountain biker!
The route goes through the Leenderbos and the Groote Heide. Together, this area is about 2000 hectares in size. The forest with many heathlands consists mainly of conifers. There are many and also special birds including night swallow, rudder, wasp and the kingfisher. Furthermore, the forest is populated by roe deer, foxes, wild boar, hares and rabbits.
The route also passes through De Malpie, another nature reserve located in Natuurgrenspark De Groote Heide that is characterized by all its heath.
