In August 2025 I road the Stelvio Pass in Italy on my Canyon Aeroad road bike. It was beautiful and really a bucketlist ride.
August 2025. Perfect weather, perfect road. The Stelvio Pass. My bucket list ride. Starting out from Pto Alavio. I was ready to go. It was a bit dull to start, but just imagine what lies ahead. Good news, it’s open. Then the first switch back, turn 48. Only 47 more to go. First proper view of the mountains. Wow. No more shade. It was getting hot despite the altitude. I made it. What a rush. There are a lot, I mean a lot of motorbikes. Time for the descent. The views are just amazing. Heat. Heat. Many switchbacks that come a lot faster on the way down. The best ride of my life so far. Now onto the rest of our summer holiday.
