Which also makes me wonder, how often do you clean your Brompton and how do you do it? Which should be the priority: appearances or function? My main way has been just to go outside with a bucket of water, a cloth, and oil for afterwards. In the muckier weather, it’s much harder to keep it clean. The manual advises against a jet wash (anyone borrow one from a car wash?) Is there any harm in only cleaning the mud off periodically? Weekly?
