An exceptional wine-making tradition, extensive culinary offerings, fun and relaxed events, sports activities and competitions on the Pohorje Hills and eco-tourism in the countryside are just some of the many reasons to visit the capital of the Štajerska region and the nation’s second largest city. In the Lent district, you will see the oldest vine in the world right in the heart of the historic city core. In winter you will cheer for women skiers competing at Pohorje for the Golden Fox, skiing’s World Cup competition for women.
The 25th Tour of Slovenia cycling road race, which will start on 13th June in Lendava and finish four days later in Novo mesto, will be broadcast live by the European sports network Eurosport.
