A two week trip from Southern Spain to the Stelvio Pass, riding through France, Italy and Switzerland. 5500 kms in 12 days.
On Day 8 of my European motorcycle adventure, I ride the Furka Pass through the breathtaking Swiss Alps. Incredible twisty mountain roads, alpine views, and the hunt for food on the road make this a ride to remember.

🚵♂️ Elevation, border crossings, and breathtaking views of the Alps!
After crossing the Italy Switzerland border, I stay at a very basic hostel for the night. I’m going to do a little bit of a thrilling off the TomTom today. Worried about dropping the bike because I couldn’t even get it up the curb yesterday. And if I drop it on my own, I have no chance of picking this up. So maybe maybe I won’t. Maybe I’ll just do the normal route. Chilling for a little bit and I’m going to pack and go. Anyway, onwards. I roll out of the hostel and straight into the Swiss Alps. [Music] Cut back after cut back, I’m climbing higher and higher. And man, the view just keeps opening up. Every turn is like the Alps are showing up a little bit more. And it’s unreal. [Music] As I crest one of the peaks, the horizon opens up and I catch the jagged white edges of the Palo Glacier sliding into view. Absolutely unreal. With the altitude climbing, the temperature is dropping. It’s time to lay it up before it really bites. [Music] I drop down to the valley and it’s town of the town. Each one so perfect. It’s like riding through the pages and showing the box. [Music] The TomTom’s exciting route kicks me off the main road, but turns out it sent me onto one I’m not even allowed to ride. Oh well, back to the main road it is. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Mile after mile, the views just keep leveling up. I honestly didn’t expect Switzerland to look like this. Just wow. [Music] Stop and have a cheese sandwich. What a cheese sandwich. If you’re enjoying this video, don’t forget to subscribe and hit the like button. It’s free and it helps other people find these adventures. [Music] I’m coming for you. [Music] A spot of time for a pizzeria. Starving. Of course, it’s closed and every other place around it is shut, too. Well, this has always happened to me. Food just keeps escaping me. [Music] Desperate now, I pull into a petrol station, hoping for anything. Snacks, a sandwich, even a drink. But nope, nothing. Absolutely nothing for sale. Classic. Heat [Music] [Music] up [Music] here. This is about as offro as it gets. 50 m of light gravel. Good thing I’m on an adventure bike. [Music] [Music] Yeah. [Music] Up in the clouds now. Absolutely unreal. Ah! [Music] Uh-huh. [Music] Oh yeah. [Music] Yeah. [Music] Finally, I spot a bar grill sign. Am I in luck? You bet your ass I am. And there it is. A massive Frankfurt right beside a rushing river. Heaven. I was tempted at one point to stop the stand. Don’t seem to cry. Anyway, I found a pizza here. Some pizza must be amazing. [Music] Yeah. [Music] Yeah. Yeah. [Music] I roll into Glorenshen, my next stop, my next budget hotel. Let’s see what this one’s got in store. Not too shabby at all. View from hotel window.
