Day 9 of 9, covering more than 800 miles of bikepacking from the English Channel at Caen to Toulon on the Mediterranean sea in summer 2025. Continuing across Provence with the intense heat and deafening cicadas from Aix finally arriving at our final destination at Toulon. Descending down into the vineyards before hitting the Med at Bandol for a little dip in the cooling ocean before pushing on to Toulon. A few Affligems in the heat to celebrate before Rich and I parted company, him boarding the Menorca ferry and me getting the overnight sleeper train back to Caen via Paris where an unpleasant rainstorm awaited me to finish the trip!
Absolutely amazing trip though, covering over 800 miles and taking in constant amazing scenery, with only a single puncture between us and one small rainstorm. Fantastique!
Just another diamond day. Just a blade of grass. Just another bail of f and horses. [Music] Nothing can stop us now. [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Heat. [Music] Baby, [Music] don’t you want to know? You want to know something else that’s true? [Music] I never felt so good. I never felt so strong. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I never felt so strong. I never felt so good. Nothing. [Applause] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] We never seem to find peace of mind. We’re always on the run, away from the sun, and we’ve only just beun. [Music] [Music] I want it now. I want it now. Don’t tell me that my ship is coming in. Nothing comes to those who wait. Time’s running out, but all you’re running in. So I want more, but I can get just trying to trying to trying to. Yeah. Yeah. Nothing ever lasts forever. Nothing ever lasts forever. Nothing ever lasts forever. Nothing ever lasts forever. [Music] All the shadows in the painting coming to me. [Music] Whatever.
