Bordeaux France travel vlog 🇫🇷 Cute cafes, sightseeing, the best Airbnb & wine tasting in Bordeaux

Today we’re flying to France! I’ve only ever visited Paris so I’m excited to experience a new part of France. We’re actually visiting the wine capital of the world – Bordeaux! We stay at the cutest loft-style apartment, we also visit some cute cafes, and do some sightseeing before delving into all things wine!

[Music] [Music] we’re spending the next few days exploring Bordeaux in France I’ve only ever been to Paris so when we found cheat flights to Bordeaux my boyfriend Jasper and I thought it would be fun to explore another city we have just seen the bougiest cinema I think I’ve ever seen in my life especially since Bordeaux is the wine capital of the world oh it’s going to be a fun New Experience for us so let’s go catch our [Music] flight we’ve made it to bordo and we actually ended up getting the tram um which was so easy it literally cost €170 and we were on it for about half an hour so really like good public transport here but we’re just currently trying to find our Airbnb today’s travel day has been really good so I’m excited to see what the airbnb’s like we have just arrived at the cutest Airbnb I think I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life like this is adorable it is quite small but it is so cute so as you come in the door straight to your well straight in front of you you’ve got this little toilet on its own then we’ve got the bathroom right next to it and it’s got quite low ceilings as you go into it it feels a little bit like a cave but you’ve got just a shower and then also oh is that meant to happen I don’t know just shut up um so yeah very small but exactly what we need and then coming out of here this is everything like I love the high ceilings it’s just so like nice and open in here and it’s kind of Loft style so you’ve got the bedroom upstairs and then you’ve got living room kitchen all down here so yeah you’ve just got nice sofa there love the print on the wall over there nice here is the kitchen now again you’ve got like the low ceilings luckily nether russer super tall well you you almost it actually yeah it’s like just above my head so I don’t know if we’re going to be cooking cuz we’re only here for three nights four like days so not sure if this going to be used much but it’s nice to have we’ve got a fridge even got a little espresso machine which we won’t use which we probably won’t use cuz we just like to explore the coffee options in the local area but this has to be my favorite part feels a little bit dangerous going up these stairs because it doesn’t have a banister and they are a little bit creaky like it’s not too but a little bit creaky I’ve never stayed in anywhere like this no neither have I so cool I’ve already whacked my head on this so um but this is the bedroom area very basic but I just it’s just such a cool they comfortable bed yeah it feels well comfortable oh it’s only a sheet you’re not going to be happy with that yeah but the thing is there’s no airon and apparently it’s like a big thing in France that they don’t really have airon that much we’ve got a fan so hopefully it’ll be nice and cool but it does feel pretty hot up here but we’ve got little wardrobe space there so we can actually unpack but overall I’m just obsessed with this it is pretty nice so cute it’s like quirky yeah so if you’re scared of heights this might be a uh slight issue I feel so high off of her then this is a view not much to see just of the building we fully unpacked now and we were going to like head up but it did get quite late so we thought we’re just going to order Uber Eats and have a full day of exploring bord tomorrow and I just fancy something that a little bit healthier so I went for a poke ball and from this place called Island Pokey this looks good so oh I’m actually messing it up can you see that just got loads of stuff in there I got a chicken teriyaki one so I feel like this is going to be so good [Music] M that is so good I just fancied something a little bit fresher so this is going to go down a tree good morning everyone we are up ready for a day of exploring in bordo today I’m so excited to get out so the building that we stand in is so old like all the stone and even the windows just look so old I actually don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere like this before so cool [Music] we just walked past a cafe that had a sign that says no laptops at weekends so they literally have like banned you from taking your laptop and working at the weekend which I just think is great all about that work life balance imagine going in there though not reading the sign you get kicked out cuz you’re on your laptop you put your laptop oh oh we’re now just walking out to bordo Cathedral looking very [Music] fancy so we managed to actually go inside the cathedral but turns out there actually obviously it’s a Sunday so there was um a service going on and it sounded beautiful I didn’t feel like it was appropriate to get my camera out but I did film a little clip on my phone so I’ll put that in now just walking down the streets here though like that all super pretty but it feels really clean and like compared to like Paris which is obviously like a massive City so many tourists I feel like this feels a lot like cleaner and nicer I don’t know if I can say that but it seems quieter A lot quieter but it is also half 10 in the morning so I feel like maybe as the day goes on might get a bit busier but yeah maybe [Music] yeah it’s actually crazy you just like walk around another corner and there’s another crazy building in RV room yeah there’s just so much here we’re now just heading to a coffee shop to get a little morning coffee we have just seen the bougiest cinema I think I’ve ever seen in my life probably one of the oldest cinemas as well by the looks of it that is so cool we’ve just tried to go to two different coffee shops and they’re both closed cuz it’s Sunday so we’re not really having much luck so [Music] far we’re walking up a street that has tons of umbrellas above us it looks so [Music] cool got the biggest coffee ever nice one so apparently you can’t come to bord without trying one of their iconic pastries called a canal I hope I’m pronouncing that right I feel like I’m not but that’s how it’s spelled anyway um and there’s a little shop down there that does them so we’re going to go try [Music] them so we’ve got it it only cost 75 it was so cheap it look looks interesting I’ve never tried anything like this don’t think got a bite ooh no it’s like Fruity and like oh really M it’s maybe R it’s got rum in it I think you can taste rum yeah so I think it’s made with vanilla and rum and it’s like super crunchy on the outside soft in the middle oh yeah m pretty good for 75 cent it’s like really tough I think this the rum is what they use on the outside then the inside’s vanilla oh it’s not bad I mean I prefer a muffin but not bad we’re now walking up to the world’s largest reflective pool didn’t even know that was a thing I don’t see how it’s not very big I mean it looks pretty big I don’t to take anything away from Bordeaux but thought it’d be slightly bigger yeah I reckon it would look really cool at night but we’re just going to grab a look at it this is it world’s largest reflective pool I mean I don’t know if you can class it’s a pool bearing in mind it’s not deep but I I guess that’s what makes it ref it’s not deep yeah I guess it’s been uh like at night I guess and that’s what lit up this will probably be really reflective of that what you saying I feel like I need to get my shoes off you can get in there go for a swim yeah literally so one of our favorite ways to get around any city is electric scooters and I had absolutely no idea that they also did them here until we’ve just seen like loads of people riding past on electric scooters so we’re currently on the hunt for some hopefully we can find some but it’s so much fun you get everywhere so quick quickly we found them let’s go the scooters were so much fun we’re only on it for like 40 minutes but we are now going to go for a little drink I think we want to find just like a little cafe or like restaurant bar type place where you can just like sit outside um people watch so hopefully we’ll find something so we’ve just come into this little cafe bath Place restaurant restaurant and we’ve got A majito and J’s got a beer but really Weir so I tried to order just a stand of majito and he said you can’t have he basically said they can’t ser heos or cocktails over 18° and I was just thinking like what is this guy on about so he was like we can only do virgin ones so I was like oh that’s fine I’ll just have a virgin one and we think but then Jasper can have like a beer yes Googled it and the thing what it actually is is if you don’t have the right license you can’t serve alcohol over 18% so that’s what we think but 18° it was so strange I was thinking oh is it too hot to have [Music] cocktails but then why is it on the menu like yeah it’s really confusing I but this is a cute spot we’re like in a little square it’s like people watching Vibes it’s pretty cool that’s actually so nice don’t try it it’s very sweet it’s getting n while refreshing we just got ice cream just as happy it’s so good we got like it’s like Kinder Bueno on real let’s grab a little [Music] W so we’re now back at the EV be I’ve showered got all the sweat off I’ve been so sweaty today but how many steps have we done today let me have a look on my app 19,23 so you always get lots of steps in when you do little like City walking about exploring like today we’ve literally just walked about pretty much the whole day apart from the scooters the scooters are so good wasn’t it yeah it was well good fun so we popped into a little shop on the way back got ourselves a French baguette so we’re just going to eat some of this we also got some little like salad bowls for dinner cuz I think we’re just going to stay in tonight we just got some salads for dinner all I’m craving at the moment is just like fresh healthy things this chicken salad which hopefully should be nice and then also got this pasta salad as well so I think we’re just going to like share both of them me and Jasper so that should be nice for dinner but yeah going to chill this evening tomorrow is going to be such an exciting day because we’re actually going to be doing one of the things bordo is most famous for and that is wine we’re going to be trying some wine tomorrow which I am very excited about because I’m Not That Into Wine like I literally I couldn’t tell you the difference between like most wines to be honest so yeah it should be so fun to [Music] do every [Music] time good morning everyone so it’s another day in Bordeaux and we woke up got ready for the day we’re going to get some brunch or I don’t know some sort of food this morning coffee you know that’s how we’re going to start our day about you yeah I am a little bit hungry as well so we’re going to go do that first and then today is all about wine we’re going to go to this kind of Museum place like there’s loads of exhibitions it’s like the one of the best things apparently you can do in bordo in terms of like wine we were actually planning on going to a Vineyard but when we went to book it it was like FY really expensive like it wasn’t a cheap thing to do and also it was like we had to get picked up like super early in the morning taken there was like a full 8 n hour day of like going to different Vineyards which I think if you were like super into wine you’d absolutely love it but we couldn’t actually find any sort of like half day activities or anything like that so yeah we kind of just scrap that idea and we’re actually just going to go to the little like Museum thing and do some wine tase in there so it should be a really good [Music] day [Music] so we just finished breakfast it was kind of strange not what I was expecting it was like a little potato rosty with avocado egg and like this white sauce I it came out I thought that’s not a bit of you not a bit basically it was kind of like is it toiki prounce it but not it’s cucumber so it’s more just like natural yogurt and herbs yeah a little bit odd but very cute in there like I enjoy M so nice if you sat outside as well it look really nice out there so yeah we’ve had breakfast now we’re now going to go find some scooters and then ride yeah ride to the museum so it’s going to be [Music] fun so the building that we’re actually going into is so like the shape of it is crazy it’s called now I feel like I’m not going to be able to pronounce this correctly Jasper sit siten sit siten something I think that’s what it’s called but yeah we’re go inside we’re going to the museum oh blush you very [Music] cool Curr do an audio tour oh my God oh my [Music] God crushing my [Music] grapes [Music] we’re smelling all the scents that just reminds me of school I was going to say that yeah what’s that one do that do that one this one yeah big one what is that pineapple oh yeah it does it look like it’s not pineapple is it don’t [Music] know we just finished in the interactive Museum me kind of bit it was so cool in there we’re in there for like 2 hours I’d say really yeah like really long time there’s so much to see we probably skipped a couple of bits as well so really enjoyed it but now I want to see what the big deal about it all is let’s go try some wine try some wine come from the and wine has been acquired I’ve got a sweet dessert wine that tastes like just syrup really it’s so sweet and nice yeah I love like a in between a white and a red or something can I try yours it’s like a dark Ros you ain’t liking that oh the F flavor is really nice but after that it’s quite yeah oh it’s like really sweet isn’t it it’s like syrup yeah so we just left and it was actually so much fun wasn’t it yeah it was pretty good Jasper had the time of his life drinking the wine he weren’t a big fan of your wine though nah it was all right but I don’t Li the old every I’ve never had a decent a decent bottle of wine I already ever tried like 5 fesco and they all just taste like crap really don’t they so if anyone wondering the price it cost €22 each which obviously included the wine as well you didn’t have to pay extra for that yeah we just don’t for get your gu I don’t know if there’s like a cheaper ticket that doesn’t include the wine yeah I’m not sure I just that’s the one they had and I just we’ve just been packing off our bags ready to leave foro tomorrow I just want to say how much I’ve Loved this Airbnb so cute it actually makes me want to live in like a loft style apartment like how cute would that be it is very small but it makes it so cute and cozy also trying the wine today was so much fun it reminded me of when we actually went to Paris so this was the first time that me and Jasper ever came to like France that was back in 2019 and we did like a little wine tasting in Paris I think we tried like three different types of wine and it was really cool like right in the city in Paris and it was so funny because when we were doing the wine tast in the guy came around and asked each person like what their favorite type of wine is and it literally got to Jasper and Jasper was like I I just literally drink the cheapest one you can get from tesos and I was just like oh my God it’s so weird to think about what has happened in life since that wine tasting in Paris because I can still remember it really well but I feel like so much in life has like changed so since then we rented a flat moved out of the flat bought a house sold a house quit jobs moved back home and now we’re traveling and it feels like so much has happened in like four years and it wasn’t until today that I really like started to think like oh my gosh life is so different like who would have thought Us in 2019 will be doing what we’re doing today so yeah it really is crazy I really hope you guys have enjoyed this bord Vlog and I definitely recommend coming here if you just want a little city break a little weekend away I I genuinely don’t think you need more than a couple of days here to like see everything I hope you guys have enjoyed this Vlog and I shall catch you in the next episode bye of traveling I never got a chance to edit those videos so I’m going to share them over the next few days they contain some of my favorite memories so I’ll see you in Paris now we’re officially at Disneyland so cool
