It’s easy to look at those videos of self driving cars hitting pedestrians and bikes in tests and think that they are shit. But people driving are even fucking worse.
I am really hoping that we will get self driving buses and trams soon. There is one bus line going around as a test right now with a human hovering over the abort button. But one of the biggest stop for public transit expansion isn’t the cost of buses. It’s the cost and availability of bus drivers.
