There’s a side of Annecy many travelers miss—and it might just be my favorite. While most people know it for its postcard-perfect canals and charming old town, just a few minutes away you’ll find beach shores, boat rentals, and lakeside picnics that feel like summer magic.
We rented a boat, cruised past storybook castles, and found hidden spots to swim and sunbathe. There are even beach clubs where you can grab a cocktail, soak up the sun, and enjoy lunch with the mountains in view.
