[Music] This episode is presented by Shaw. This month sees Europe’s elite start to battle it out to become the best of the best. There’s so much pressure at this level and you can’t be distracted for one single second. It’s so important that you keep fresh and focused. Which is why it’s good to have Shaw’s non-stop protection range of anti-persperence to hand. 72-hour non-stop sweat and odor protection that’ll keep you fresh and dry on and off the pitch. Shop now at Boots. Sure, it won’t let you down. Hello everybody. Welcome to the football filling. What a weekend of sport we’ve just had. Uh the Red Roses won the Rugby World Cup. Get up there. Get in there. Uh team Europe won the RDER Cup. Get in there, boys. What did you make of it? It was incredible. It was incredible. I did not watch any football this weekend whatsoever cuz I was glued to the I’m I’m only joking. I’m only joking. I did I did watch some football. I promise you. Uh but the Ryder Cup was phenomenal. I just think golf coverage in general is the best coverage of any sport ever. I I do not like the way this fandom’s going though on course with the American. It’s just not golf. It was bang out of order. It was It was bang out of order. The Americans were fine up until the second session of day one on the Friday and then when they realized they were getting their ass kicked, it started turning naughty. Yeah, but it’s like a normal Sunday session, isn’t it? You know, you realize if you go out at 11:00 in the morning, come 7 8:00, you get a bit rowdy, don’t you? So, these teeing off at like 7:30. It’s literally just turned light. Like they’re waiting for the the sort of like light to come. like the press conferences when both teams were in there after and all the European lads got a can of stellar next to them. They were quite good. So yeah, there was actually some football this weekend as well. Um some good games as well. Some good results and all some surprising results. Uh we’re going to start with Arsenal. Okay. Did you watch this one? Yeah, I watched so much. You actually watched it cuz you’re not a massive fan of the golf, are you? I am, but when I started hearing about all that nonsense, I was like, “No, I’m not into it.” But I watched so much football this so this is the one I managed to watch all the way through and I was like right the golf can take a little bit of a backseat. Okay, I only missed like three or four tea off sort of thing so it weren’t the end of the world but um I actually quite enjoyed this. Thought Arsenal did really really well. Um there were a few V decisions that Arteta weren’t too happy with but I actually think they got him right. Yeah, I agree. Uh I was surprised that the ref gave the pen when Pope nicks the ball but like you know that’s why we have VA. He he he didn’t see the little nick but I I don’t understand the Arsenal bench or Arteta post game because ultimately yes he gets there for Gawkarez but it hits Pope’s big toe. So whether it’s his big toe or normally in goalkeeping you go down with what would have been his right hand at that time as long as you touch the ball you’ve made the right decision. That’s why he’s there, isn’t it? Because with goalkeeping obviously, you’re hoping that sometimes it’s not by like look by design or by design. Like even with Dean Henderson, did you see where he dived for that ball and it almost it was a brilliant save and it almost looked like he was a bit blind to it. You got you got to get right up in their grill basically. Exactly. You have you got to get right off you. But that’s the the risk that you take cuz if you don’t get a nick on it or get a touch on it, then you know it could be Oh, sure. And and 99 out of 100 when you’re a goalkeeper, if you go to ground with your hand or you, as Pope did with his foot, if you don’t connect with a ball, you’re wrong 100%. You didn’t get there first and it’s a penalty. But he actually got there just behind him. But because he got the contact, never ever can be a penalty. The the problem was that Artet is saying that it has to be a clear and obvious error for them to actually overturn it or to even look at it. So he gave the penalty on field and then what Artet is saying is that’s not a clear and obvious error. But he touched the ball. I actually think it is a clear and obvious error. I think it’s the most obvious error we’ve seen. Not potentially all weekend cuz we’ve got so many more V instances to talk about. But it’s an obvious error. Is it because it was a Nick? It was like a little It was a Nick. Yeah, a Nick Pope Nick. Um should we talk about the game though? So, um, Voltermider’s goal. Uh, Gabrielle, what you doing, Bigum? Uh, look, we were just talking off air about big Craig Dawson. I don’t think he’s going down like that, is he? With a little soft push in his back. Um, from a defensive point of view, I think he’s been so solid for Arsenal. But like he’s a big old unit he’s up against and you’ve got to accept that it’s going to be a physical battle and I’d be really disappointed if our uh a coach in Arsenal’s backroom staff there for him to feel a little contact like that and go down so theatrically look cuz you know how he attacks the ball in the opposite box and he’s got to be as aggressive in his own box. It were really soft and again I’m just glad V didn’t intervene because there’s potential potential to say he has pushed it. We we spoke about that earlier on, didn’t we, Fos? Where they could have like the people making the decision, they could choose to go either way. And at home, you kind of go, well, yeah. What’s your interpretation of a of a little contact? Because Walter M did really well, didn’t he? Because he’s just done enough to give himself the edge, but it wasn’t a put. This is this is the bit that worries me about V is that sometimes I think you’ve just got to let the referee make that decision live because the second that somebody goes, “Hold on a minute, we got to look at this and we judge this. All right, we’re going to slow it down and we judge this.” That could honestly have gone either way. When it when it went to that review decision there from VA, I thought if this your guess is as good as mine and there’s no absolute clear definition of what is a foul or what is too much for whoever’s making that decision, right? Let’s say there’s a game at Liverpool and a game at Palace. Your version of your tolerance levels Exactly. are going to be different to mine different to mine. Exactly. That’s what I’m saying. So unless it is a defined definition and you can actually gauge but it’s impossible to do that. So therefore it’s left to that person in that room to look at it. Whereas that’s why I’m saying I just think sometimes you just got to let the referee referee the game. You have just let him referee the game for what he sees there and then and that’s it. Simple. I think it’s also knowing that the fact like it’s like if if this is the environment at Stockley Park where we are, you’re 200 300 miles away from the game. You’ve got no feel when you’re refereeing it. You can see that the the physical battle between them two. You can see it bubbling away. You can feel it and you know what’s actually an aggressive push or trying to get a little edge or whatever, but you can feel it. When you’re 200 miles away in Stockley Park, you you get no feel or emotion for that. He knew he had been done. Gabrielle knew he had been done and he just tried to buy he just tried they they’re having a bit of a they were both giving it a bit and then he knew he’s been done and then he’s just tried to buy the foul and that’s as simple as that. But it was a good edited right into the corner. But I got to say they didn’t really deserve it at that point either because Arsenal Arsenal were popping. They were like to be fair I think I’m not sure he was on coms. It might have been Neville and they made a comment after like 80 minutes or saying Arsenal need to win games from this position and I like totally agree because with Liverpool losing you you could just kind of see Arsenal losing and going blow me l it needed for the league itself to have a momentum shift didn’t it because Liverpool looked like the unstoppable machine already all of a sudden obviously we know what Palace are so we’ll come on to that one um but for Arsenal it were a massive moment and I thought what Gary Harry did say that what the real point is as soon as they got the equalizer they had to try and win that game and that’s what top top top teams do. I would ask though Ben like we talked about Arsenal last week and maybe not setting up massively positive and I know when you’re under the Kosh you you’ve put more men forward take more risks but I’d like to see Arsenal be a bit bit more dynamic a bit braver earlier in the games because it’s almost like it’s a reaction. Yeah, I know what you mean. I think they again though in this instance in this game I agree with what you say in the in this the way the Premier League has gone so far they have it’s almost like they’re waiting for something a spark to happen before they really go for it gung-ho but in this game they could have been two or three up at this point already. They really could have scored three or four goals. Yeah, I thought P were phenomenal. He made two massive one down to his left honestly like no nobody only the big guys can make them saves. Yeah, only your your Corttois and your Emmy Martinez, your Donna Rums can make them say cuz you’re so tall. Nobody else can get that range to get it. Um, so Arsenal were very very good. I just liked I like the mentality of it all though because Arsenal get to watch Liverpool lose on that Saturday afternoon and then they spend all Saturday night and then all Sunday morning thinking about, wow, this is a massive opportunity because Liverpool feasibly are only going to lose four or five Premier League games this season, right? And on those rare occasions that they do lose a game, Arsenal have to win and Man City have to win. They have to capitalize on it. So, I thought yesterday was a real good instance of well done. Maybe you have actually arrived. They did. They did really, really well. Maybe you’ve arrived. I wanted to ask you about the winner cuz I felt a bit sorry for Nick Pope cuz his defense and his whole team look so happy with him in goal. He’s so calm. Yeah, he’s brilliant. And he he really flies under the radar, doesn’t he? It’s almost like people are waiting for him to get dropped for Ramsdale because he’s a big unit. It’s like on the eye. Don’t look. It’s like the everybody’s so used to seeing these spelt little sixoot goalkeepers now who are great at booting balls and all the and it’s just give me 6’7 Nick Pope all day long. Right. Yeah. Come out for crosses. Come out. But he will be fuming by the way with this goal. He’ll be gutted. He will. Was that his fault? Cuz it’s his fault. It’s not his fault. It for for Gabrielle to get there in front of everybody else and get a flick on it. There’s a lot of people that have to do better, but Nick Pope will know he has to do better. Celiba’s played him like a fiddle, though. He’s shielded Gabrielle from the ball. He’s contested the header. And it was really smart play, wasn’t it? But shielded who? Not Gabrielle. It was No, Celiba. Celiba kind of come out, hadn’t he? And kind of tracked. Did he shield Pope? He kind of got in front of Pope. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he did. Yeah. Contested the head. But Nick Pope, if Nick Pope’s going to come, he has to get it. Simple as that. You can’t come out there and not get caught on the wrong side, wasn’t it? Basically, you either come and get it or you retreat into your goal and you try and react to any saves. So, the mistake is coming for the ball and not actually get anything on it and he’ll be he’ll be gy. Yeah. And and the way he comes to attack it, he comes around the ball and then the quality is too high and then the runs get crossed in front of you. But ultimately, for all we talk about in that game, and I don’t like alluding to it all the time, but that came down to three set plays. Uh I really liked Newcastle’s goal because Arsenal are very very zonal. So they felt as though they had to play short to bounce to try and get a one battle which they did and he won and it’s a goal. And then the same perspective really for Arsenal needed to move him first up and it’s a great goal Mourinho’s isn’t it? But I think the last goal I think from a defensive point up when you really set up big Dan Burns man against man against him so you’re asking him to do better. Lel’s in the middle of the sixyard box as a zone to protect if he gets free. Nothing. And then obviously Pope. So like there’s three major compon components gone wrong there because ultimately if big Dan Burn gets beat, Lel should be able to fight and clear it and if Leel’s can’t get there then hopefully Pope comes. But for all three to get done in a chain reaction and he still get the goal. Anyhow be gutted if they’ve got some units for Newcastle. They should not be conceding goals from set pieces. Can we talk about the Liverpool game? But at this point, shall we just get Big Dan Burn printed on the back of his shirt because Big Dan Burn Big Dan Burn. Even commentators, it’s just Big Dan Burn on the ball. Yeah. Um, did you see Mosello’s hand ball? Yeah. V didn’t like it’s now I know like you you slow it down. It’s really detailed and you can but you can see the spin on the ball changes and that’s the bit where if you pull it for Popey with the the non-penalty, it’s got to work both ways. Exactly. I get I get what you’re saying, but it’s a hand ball. Moal has handled this ball. Yeah. It’s as simple as that. And he’s changed. You might not have changed the direction, but he’s touched it, right? And I just think if you touch in a ball in the build up to a goal, then it’s it’s a hand ball. Well, that’s what they’re saying. If you touch it and it’s handball, then it’s chocked out straight away. There’s no gray area on that. So it were um pretty surprising but I have to just it’s for me it’s all just round of applause for Glasgner and that team because they were absolutely phenomenal and absolutely battered Liverpool and I mean Kennate had a certainly a bad lunchtime on Saturday but like Allison in the goals if it weren’t for him the game would have done at halftime anyway and Henderson they were both there some good goalkeeping performances this weekend too we’re going to give some love to the goalkeepers um but for for Palace to go and get a 97th minute winner. Like when you’re playing Liverpool, you’re expecting them to be the ones on the front foot. And I actually watched the passage of play for them scoring and it was Liverpool on the front foot. They just quickly broke those pal. But for Palace to break and be charging down and shutting down defender to get the throw in and then big mate, what’s doing up there, mate? He looked like an absolute tank as well, didn’t he? Like the defender didn’t even really know he was there. So Hugh just went bang. I’m having that. And then Ketier, great finish. What a win by the way. Honestly, they were they were phenomenal. But it’s just like what we said, isn’t it? Arsenal at getting at 1-1, they had to go on and win the game. Liverpool, I think, were just so relieved to think they’d got a point after being absolutely battered and it were like a and just as they were having that last gasper, Palace still went for it. I mean, I were really disappointed with the goal in terms of Fong. I I think it’s so bad. He’s attached to Niketier on the back post and all of a sudden wants to try and get involved in the middle to compete with a header and just leaves him. It It’s naive defending to be frank. Yeah, it is. Yeah. Um that Allison save was it from Mateta when it goes back across the goal and then Henderson you know when he’s he’s the one I was talking about earlier on and he’s like almost like blind dived and tipped it onto the post. Those two were class quick goalkeepers like really really sharp goalkeep but both goalies were a bit of Nelson as well. Do you know what I mean? Goalkeepers that can sort of see it coming almost and so they know what to do with their body in that instance. I do. I love it. I love watching I think Dean Enson is just he’s going from strength to strength. He has he’s really found a home that works and he nice little routine of he knows he knows what work he needs to do. He don’t get involved in stuff that doesn’t require him and he and he’s doing what he needs to do really really well at the minute. England number two. It’s like honestly the goalkeeping situation with England now it’s it’s great. I love it because you got they must just be competing. It’s him and Pigford and the like there’s a lot of English goalkeepers or Sam Johnson back in at the weekend for Wolves as well and it’s good it’s good time to be an English goalkeeper. Yeah, made a note here about the GK’s on top. Allison Henderson roofs a Robin Roof Robin Keller what a penalty save but Sam Johnston came back in a way it’s really fantastic. Yeah, a little touch onto the the crossbar. Robin Roose quickly. Did you see his foot save? I love I love a foot save. But but that’s the modern way, isn’t it? There’s no point trying to get down to your left there. just stand there and get a good block and poke. He’s low. He’s low like he’s got his legs and so but he’s still nimble. Normally when you’re low like that, it’s really hard to get your legs out to flick them out cuz your studs are so embedded into the ground, right? Really, but he’s so nimble on it and he’s just so quick. That German way of goalkeeping, you see all the German goalkeeping coaching like videos of they do this mad thing where they’re really low and they’re just kicking out with their feet all the time. That came into practice. I liked it. It was good, weren’t it? He’s done really well. Tell one thing W we spoke about earlier which did probably rear its head is that Liverpool have been brilliant start to the season but when you see them yesterday that kind of defensive frailty was was there to see like you said Mateta’s absolutely tore Canate apart. Yeah, look, Kenati had a bad day at the office, but I I think you know, Mateta is a real amphful and he’s a top top player, you know what I mean? So, he he can make center halfs look like that. But I think because it was a game against Palace and you know, they’ve been trying through the window to get Mark Gay and then then you see Canate’s performance, you’re thinking that’s the piece of the jigsaw that would have really cemented the Premier League for sure 100%. And it’d be interesting. Obviously, Palace will not really want to get to the summer and let him walk away for free. So, I think if anybody comes in with a reasonable type offer in January, Palace will have to really Do you think Mateta could play for one of the big four or five or six? Yeah, I do. All right. Hold on then. Do you think Mateta could play for Man City? Do you think they’d sign him is what I’m saying. I know he could play for them. He could he could do a job for I don’t think Man City would sign him. Would Would Liverpool sign him? Not now. Would Man United sign him? Yes. would they as in two big men they wouldn’t surely know but I think I I think if you look at what he’s done in the Premier League and this is I touched on it last last week with Cesco and we’ll come on to his game and I know he scored a goal but Mateta is a much better Cesco I think so he’s a much better Cesco but Man United wouldn’t sign him because they’ve got Cesco and they’ve invested so much money into him will Chelsea sign him again you’re talking they have players in situational will sign him. But don’t ask would they sign him? Ask is he better than It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if he’s better or would they sign him and none of them would sign him. Yeah. So the January transfer window comes. None of the big boys would sign him. No. Would they? Well, okay then. When you’re saying about big boys and I know that we’ve got traditional big six, whatever. Where can Palace finish this season? I know it’s early doors. It’s I think I still think a good season for Palace’s top eight. A very good season that is actually. And I think all Palace fans would buzz off it. And I know they’re flying high at the minute, but I think Europe. Well, exactly. Europe. You’re only ever an injury or two away from it really impacting the team. You are. I think so for Palace. Look, their fans are going to be absolutely ecstatic beating Liverpool at home. But the European adventure, albeit a bit like Villa last year, it’ll hurt them at some point 100% because they haven’t got the squad depth of the big six or seven or eight. And I think to get in the top 10 on the back of European football is as good as they can get. But I’ll tell you one thing, in the cups, no team’s going to want to play them. He won the FA Cup last year. They won the Community Shield at the start. And I think in a one-off game, as we saw on Saturday, they can beat any. The Premier League is getting better and better. It is something fifth, lads. Oh my god. And we talked about the one the one more V. So for the first goal, the corner that shouldn’t have been Mitchell got the last touch. Yeah, he did get the last. So, again, it’s another But they’re not going to go to that for V. No, they’re not. No, they’re not. People asking questions. Should they be the technologies there? Well, yeah, but we don’t It’s bad enough when we have to wait for a decision in it. If you if you go for ultimately if you’re going to talk about a corner, you’re going to have to talk about every throw in. And you know, the game’s not that for the fans, it’s bad enough when we have to wait anyway. So, it’s a poor decision, but that’s that’s what football is. You can get them wrong. what actually happens post that is just crap defending again on another set piece. So, you can’t argue about all the bits and pieces. I actually think let the refs and the lines uh men and women make the decisions and we get on with that little bit because the V takes too much time. Can we talk about Man United quickly? I know we’ve got Aston Villa up there, but um this was another one of the games I actually watched. I’ve watched two games at the weekend. One of them was Man United because it was an early kickoff game, weren’t What’s your thoughts on this one? It was it just didn’t surprise whatsoever watching the game. Genuinely didn’t surprise like Man United play everything so safe, right? Every pass they make is defeat and that sounds like it’s oh that’s what they should be doing, right? There’s you’re not ever going to really progress if you’re just playing at defeat every time. Everything is so safe, right? There’s nothing really. The goal that they score actually, sorry, the penalty that they get um is from Lenny Euro actually for the first time stepping stepping in and then putting it into space for the ball to get whipped in. and he puts it into space so somebody can run onto it. Right? The second you play it into people’s feet, defenders just go, “Oh, I love that. Actually, it gives me a chance to get right up behind him. So, I know he has to take a touch. His backs to me anyway. We’re absolutely cooking here. It’s not like they’ve got a massive center forward.” Honestly, it’s just I was just watching thinking it’s just so predictable. It is so easy. But Brenford obviously have just thought they’re going to play a high line here and obviously like I what I don’t understand it’s just so lazy defending from Magguire. It’s easy to single him out, but if you’re going to play a high line like that, you’ve got to at that point get up against him and compete and fight and have a battle because it’s a one v one battle. That’s what your team and your managers decided that tactically I’m going to leave you one v one here. And as soon as he arcs his run and meuire steps up to try and play him offside, lazy defending and you you just get punished. So So I mean again, it was hell of a from Henderson, wasn’t it? Second second week in a row, isn’t it? found that in you’ve got a long way to put that ball, a long way to put that ball, you know what I mean? In terms of the way Man United approach it and actually in a foot race, Magguire is always going to get beaten. But even then though, like the the ball over the top, right, when there’s no pressure on the ball, so Dean Henderson, Sad Dean Henderson, Jordan Henderson has got the ball acres of space. Yeah. Harry Mcguire is facing it all. He can see that there’s nobody putting pressure on him right at that moment. You cannot step up. Yeah. You can’t just go like if anything, you’re going to drop off. You just wait. even anything like you just wait and just go right I’ll just see what what sort of transpires basically so Jordan Henderson’s watching this going oh my god if I lump this hard enough is just going to keep running for and he does he keeps running forward and the striker just goes oh brilliant this look at the time and space he finds himself in it’s just oh wow it’s an unbelievable finish though should have been a foul yeah great should have been a foul um you’re only saying that cuz he’s an ex Wolves player no no should have been a foul on Kuna there should have been like listen we like people take offense to think that we just hammy United every week. They were unlucky with a couple of decisions. So, so there was a foul on Kuna before the Thiago opener. Well, I do think that if you’re honest, you could have gone back and give a foul for that. Possibly. Possibly. Possibly. Possibly. Possibly. Mate, he’s just he’s absolutely clattered him. My god. Somebody’s got Ka posters on his mate. Listen, we do it every week and you’ve got to we have to be fair. He’s clattered. I think Man United were a little bit unlucky, but I have to say that like I I hear all the all the stuff about the other decision and I think when Euro steps in and the play down the side, I think Collins ultimately he has to send him off like the VR when you hear the chat. Well, and Bremo’s not in control of the ball. Well, how the [ __ ] is he going to be in control of the ball when he stopped him getting there? He’s going to get Yeah, he’s going to get there. And whether he finishes it or takes a touch, Collins is wrong side. So that’s a football. If you’ve got football intelligence, you know that there’s going to be an action after that. But when he grabs him, it kills it all. Now look, at that point, I think the ref obviously gives a penalty and they have to send him over and say, “Look, if you just roll that on a millisecond without the pull, it’s a finish at goal or so, it’s a goal scoring opportunity.” Red card for you. a red card for me. It is a red card to be fair. No, but again though, but again though, I don’t It is a red card. I get that. Right. But again, it took from from the decision being from the referee blowing his whistle and saying penalty to the penalty getting taken, it was five minutes. Yeah. And it but it’s the most obvious thing I’ve ever seen in your life. Yeah. So even if the penalty is a penalty, it’s as simple as that. But whether he gives him a yellow card or a red card, right? Just let that referee make that decision there and then and then you ain’t got five minutes. I thought Brenford were clever though. a couple of subs to make him. It was all droning on. It was and and and the commentators actually really highlighted it well. They were making a point of saying like, “Listen, if you’re Bruno Fernandez here, you’re proper getting in your own head.” By the way, like goalie was walking right up to him. Defenders walking right up to him. Double substitution. I mean, he should he should deal with that. He’s he’s Bruno Fernandez. But nobody likes it, though. Nobody wants five minutes when it shouldn’t be five. It should just be if he’s given him the ed yellow card, cool. I’ll take it cuz the referee has to make a decision live and quick. Yeah. So, he’s the captain. Yeah. Would you pull him off pens? Yeah, I’ve got to take him off penalties now. You can’t miss two in a row. And there’ve been two very average penalties. It’s a good save, don’t get me wrong, but it’s one of those saves where if you go the right way, you’re saving it, right? Like Harry Kane takes a penalty. Yeah. I could go the same way that Harry Kane goes, he’s still scoring because he hits it with so much pace. Yeah. And it’s right in the corner. But with Bruno Fernandez, he doesn’t hit him hard enough. that little labored runup he does. You ain’t getting the goal a chance with this with the size of a Keller and the big goal is they cover the goal. The one thing I don’t know if you could get it Jay maybe on a still image to look at when he makes the save. Brenford have got three or four players that side and then Bumo is the only Man United player that side and he’s just stood on the 18 yard box. The rest of them are in there waiting to clear it and I just think there’s a sniff. There’s no no feel for that. Yeah, the Brenford you’ve got two Brenford players standing over the goalkeeper while Keller still on the floor and it was unsure as to who was going to like kick it away or whe Man United players and but talking about managers as well though Amaran for me is right on the brink now right on the brink if they lose another one or two in the next couple of weeks that he’s right on the brink I think I saw I think I saw a fact that when Potter got sacked it got like 26 points or something and Amarin was on 27 or or something it were win% it was some fake Yeah,% better for when when’s the next international break? There’s another one in November, is there? Yeah, there’s only two G there’s two games left. No, it’s this weekend. Last weekend. Well, honestly, if he makes it through the international break, I would be it’s 50/50 for they’ve got Sunderland. But think they’ve got Sunderland at home. Make Sunderland fifth in the league right now. So So if they lose to Sunderland at home, Oh, I think that could be it. You know, does he want to get sacked? I don’t know if he wants to get sacked, but the body language is telling me he’s not fighting that hard. I agree. Well, listen to this. Right. So Brenford played last week against Chelsea. They played 5-32 formation last week against Chelsea. Fantastic two all draw buzzing. Right. This week they played 4-321 against Man United. Completely changed the system. Completely changes like personnel where they’re playing or they can do it absolutely fine. And they get four points out of those two games. Man United same same. Yeah. And it’s obviously not working. So, if the other managers can do it with apparently lesser players, listen, there was there was I was reading the comments last week and there was a lot of people saying, “Why aren’t you hammering Unai Emry? Pep’s been off the mark and saying you’re picking on United, right? What we have to consider is Pep’s won the Premier League however many times. Uno Emry has done it right. He has achieved with millennial winners. They they’ve earned the right. How many European cups?” Yeah. Yeah. I’m talking at Villa though. At Villa. Look at the season they’ve had. I’d trust Emory to go right, you do whatever you want, mate. Okay. You do whatever you want cuz you’re proven. But they’ve he’s almost earned the right to have a a slow start to the season. Yeah. He’s been there. He’s done it. With United, Amarim hasn’t. I know. Well, I spoke before we started and I think it’s it’s quite poignant now that Mika Richards did a really good piece on match of the day. Man United shapes the shape 343 and when he makes all these subs it’s just moving the center half across moving somebody else across. Mount come on and played three positions and Bremo started in in the 10 then he started on the wing and then he’s playing in a wing back like these are top top players and I’m not saying that they’re not adaptable and capable but um Mount had been on two minutes and then Xerxes comes on and then he’s playing a different position. It is very difficult to get the real detail of a press or you certainly your attacking patterns if they’ve got any of these things when you’re doing so many changes and it’s just changing all along the shape but nothing really changes and you’ve said Brenford change the shape. Man United would have had no idea what Brenford were doing. Brenford had all week to prepare on what Man United were doing and at the level they’re operating at it becomes very very easy for them. Yeah, that’s the the predictable nature of it is just that’s what’s killing Man United because everybody knows what to expect. Everybody knows what’s coming. So, this is how we’re going to counteract it and and everybody’s just finding it really. Man United are built on wingers. Like that their history is built on having wingers getting wide, taking players on, getting balls into the box, right? And when they’ve got a system now that isn’t that way and it’s not working, you can’t I I can’t blame Man United fans for not being happy. Let me ask you something about defensively, WTO. So I think there was a couple of instances this weekend but I think Lennon Yuro did it and we spoke to big Sam last week and he was very much very much against it. It’s great great episode and um I think it was Lenny Uro and it was about 20 yards out. So he was outside the box defending and it’s this hands behind the back defending from 20 25 yards. What’s your what’s your take on this full stop the the hands behind the back? Look, I think when you’re in the penalty area, and we’ll come on to a couple of decisions that could have or couldn’t have been. Uh I think Matty Cash were very lucky to get away with one. I know we’ve talked about Arsenal, but I think that were the right decision with Celiba because it rolls up his leg, but it’s very hard for defenders to really adjust and move your body quickly. So, I think when you’re outside the box, you’ve got to have your hands in a free position. I think when you’re isolated and you’re potentially going to drop, block or try and block across, it’s not natural to have your hands with behind your bo body, but they have to do it with the with the rules. But I think it’s taking everything away from it because you get crazy penalty decisions against you. You need to be able to move and transfer your body weight, and your top half of your body allows your bottom half to to be more manipulated if your weight transfers there. when you’re kind of static here, you I I already feel a little bit more rigid. And if you’re going to face or a winger or any attacking player is going to face you up and you put your hands behind your body, I think they’re already in business. I think it’s a real uh alien way to defend. I understand in the box sometimes they may be after, but if you’re any quality of an attacking player, when you see that, you think, oh, are you not seeing the the kind of green shoots of improvement from United? Oh, absolutely not. Absolutely not. Honestly, you watch the game and it it they just it’s like they’re they’re good players, but there’s no real system. There’s no real flare. There’s no real attacking intent. It’s almost like they they know there’s a bit of a plan, but they don’t really implement it very well. Um, and I just think the belief is completely gone from Manchester United. Do you think it’s a it’s not a personnel issue then? So if you were to put Cesco for argument sake in a Arsenal a Newcastle team and do you think but they they’ll but again they’ll play a certain way. If you’ve got certain players you have to play to them certain players strengths. Right. When you get to the end of the game and you’ve got Brian Abu filling in at I don’t know where he ended up on the pitch. But the reason the goal goes in the third goal is because Brian Abu is in the center of the pitch where he’s been told to fill in because somebody’s come on as substitute and he’s had to fill in somewhere else. That’s not his position. He’s he’s made this last ditch lunge that you know he’s never going to win the ball. Brenford are on the attack. Score the third goal. You just think, “Wow.” Like it’s no wonder players are making basic errors and basic mistakes. They’re asking him to do stuff that they they don’t know how to do. Um like so listen to this. Yeah. The manager could be really under pressure come the next international break. Yeah. Oh, for sure. I mean Sunderland will be rubbing going to Old Trafford. Could Gareth Southgate get the Man United job? Well, well, look, I if couldn’t he? Look, any anything’s possible, isn’t it? And I’m not here to be critical of what he’s done because he’s he with England in particular. I know they’ve never got over the line, but he he did a he did a good job. But I think if you’re Man United, I think you’re looking beyond him. I think if if you look at if they if they’ve signed all the players that work in that system, the first name you’re looking at is Glasnner for sure because the way his Crystal Palace team do it compared to our Man United do it is Chalk and Cheese. So Glasgner’s got to be one. Iola for sure has has got to be up there with it. And um I think they’re probably looking at them potentially more than a South if I’m honest. Do you think some of the the best managers in the league are not towards the top of the table? Yeah, I think so because they don’t site and it’s not always uh true, but ultimately a budget in a league or budgets for players give you as a coach or a manager a better platform. If I’m working with the players at Man United, they should be a better standard than the players at Brenford for instance, even though just left Brenford to go to Man United. And I think that’s where Man United are because they would have never been signing a Brenford player even though he’s a phenomenal player and done really well, they would be looking at bigger and beyond that. But when you’ve got the best assets and you’re a really good coach and you’ve come up with a game plan and your tactics, you should outperform the rest of the league. Areola is a one for me. Like that Bournemouth manager is he’s been phenomenal, hasn’t he? to to lose half your squad, half your starting lineup, to lose it and then still just be as impressive is for me that’s just yeah I mean you’re you’re a proper coach. A name I didn’t put in there were Herzel but I think that he’s following on the Brighton model and I probably wouldn’t have him quite at that level but Glazner and Rayola if you’re Man United they’re two guys that have been doing it now in the Premier League and you think it’d be a breath of fresh air but Man United’s a bigger juggernaut than obviously United all over if if they’re trying to get Yeah. or Glasgner it’s going to cost an awful lot of money. I know Glasnner’s contract’s up in the summer, but he’s going to want 250 grand a week for himself as a wage. Yeah, they’re going to want compensation to some point, aren’t they? I just think with Gareth Southgate, it’s so different to what they’ve ever done and what they’re doing isn’t working. You look at the past sort of four or five managers now since Fergie went just they’re not working, are they? It’s as simple as that. And I just think that with how hard it is to play for Man United with the pressure involved and pulling that shirt on and just just doesn’t seem to work, I think sometimes you might need a bit of a different approach. You know, I think it’s a risk though, Ben. I think it’s another risk. Is it more of a risk than just doing what they’re doing? Well, you think when they bought Amarim in, I think they got fooled by this fashionable young young wellspoken manager that had done it in Portugal, right? And I think Southgate would be a risk because he hasn’t managed at club level for however many years, what 15 years, something like It’s a long time, but like managing England is is is high pressure environment and and I I think that’s close to Man United. I mean, Man United people might not like it, but with what Fergie did, it became the biggest club and the pressure now to do anything like Fergie did is massive. So, Southgate managing England is a a fair comparison in terms of the level of scrutiny. But what we always said with Southgate and it’s only our opinions or certainly my opinion in this point. We never let the shackles off. But if game management, we spoke about it also. If you’re going to be Man United manager, you got to let the shackles off and you got to let these play because like Bruno Fernandez Kuna, you you let these players play. They’re phenomenal talents and you would expect more from them. So yes, you’ve got to do your work out of possession and and against the ball, but these guys, you’ve got to let them flourish and trust them. You know what I mean? I I just look at look at their next appointment whenever it may be. And would you like would we sit here and go Glas is a risk? No. He’s done it at Palace. He’s won the Europa League. Was it at Frankfurt? Yeah. Um he’s managed big teams in Europe. Okay. We’re not talking the biggest of big big teams, but he has done it. And it’s the same with Emry. Like let’s say Emry for example, whether or not he’d go, but he’s been there. He’s done it. They’re not risks, are they? No, they’re not. United have to sort out their defensive problems first and foremost. Like what I said, they got some unreal attacking talent. They have they got proper players, but defensively, you look all across that chances. Even from sort of like Ugate backwards really, it’s just I just don’t think they’re up to it. I think the Dit doesn’t look like he’s got the legs or kind of the Premier League nouse about him. Um, no. I think Dick’s been I think Dick’s been one of the better watch the game on Saturday, right? Some of the rash decisions he goes is stepping in. Honestly, some of his step-ins are just absolutely criminal. I’m watching thinking you can’t go in there, mate. Relax. And he gets too excited as well. And then he’s undercutting stuff. So, getting right under stuff and flicking and I’m thinking, “Oh my god.” Yeah. Look, we don’t want it to be the Man United debate, but I’ll tell you one thing. I I’ve worked at the Premier League and if I were going to Man United this weekend with some of the teams when we were on good form like Sunderland are you relishing that game. Man United are absolutely bricking it come that game Saturday. Somebody we’ve just been talking about that Unai Emory Villa um good win for them that wouldn’t they because they’ve had Europa League in the week as well. Was it Europa or Conference? Um Europa in it for them. Europa. Yeah, champion and and to be fair, McIn said after the game I think it’s a massive win and he said the lads were running on empty because against Bologna great win to start the campaign but a one-0 win he said them Italians obviously tactically very good met him run for 100 minutes so I think to come in on the back of that and also conceding after 3 minutes oh yeah against a Fulham team it Silva we know he’s a good guy and and I think they got lucky with Gimenez coming off after 11 minutes I think that played into the hands a little bit because he obviously started with a goal, but he’s a good good center forward, but Villa had to get some momentum back into the game. Um, and obviously Watkins finally got off the mark, so that would have lifted him. Um, but I thought they got they got lucky a little bit with Cash when he had a block because I did think that nine out of 10 that probably going to be a penalty when I can’t remember who it was. It might have been King stepped inside and had a good shot and I think Emmy would have had all on to save it cuz it were quite close and and cash just the flailing arm. Yeah. Do you think do you think the Josh King penalty one was one with uh Emmy Martin? No, I thought that were very good officiating. Hey, well done. So Leford and Jame Rednap were on coms at the time and it comes to them at our time and they’ve just gone I can’t believe it. It’s a penalty. It’s a stonewall. It’s an absolute stonewall. Oh, seriously. They got mate. They’re guys that should know about football. We’ve spoke about some instances here and we talked about Buumo getting tugged and if the referees at Stockley Park or the referee would have any football now and it’s exactly the same as what we’re saying here. There is no way that can ever be a penalty. No, he’s he’s he’s what he’s done is he’s basically knocked it round and as soon as he’s knocked it, he’s gone right, I’m just going to fall into it now and I’m going to put my legs all in. He’s made no attempt to really kind of like go if he’ have been a bit braver and gone, “Right, I’m going to knock it and then try and jump you or something and then you clip him.” I could understand it being a penalty, but he’s had no intent in doing it. I do feel for Fulham a little bit because they do get they’ve had quite a lot already, haven’t they? Decisions sort of go against them. And Marco Silva can half Lou’s [ __ ] lads. Honestly, I I was watching. I thought he were relatively calm because like he could have really he can go as well. You should see the way he talks to that fourth official, mate. Honestly, he’s he batters them. Yeah, I’m watching it and I’m going, “Oh, you are horrible, mate. You’re just battering.” You think back a couple of weeks of the Chelsea one. Do you remember the one the Josh King one that got disallowed? Like, oh mates, Fulham do get a few back. You’d think, wouldn’t you because of that Josh King one, the refs would be like, “Shit, if any decision for Fulham would got a thankless task.” Yeah. Who was it last week? Was it Pep kissing him last week? Yeah. Yeah. It was horrible, weren’t it? What about um let’s carry on with the old V thing. We were talking about the um the gusto potential red um on M. So the ball’s come over. M’s got an opportunity. He looks like he’s just going to head the ball back across goal and gets a boot in the face. Yeah, but m I I I I think that’s so easy. He’s not got the ball and he’s kicked the guy in the face. It’s a penalty. What’s odd about that is we we’ve tried to dissect Pope going for the ball. We’ve just talked about arms and all these things. He’s fly kicked him in the face and he’s not on a ball. So that anywhere else on the field is a foul, isn’t it? I I I I didn’t know whether I’m watching something and I’m like because the intricacies of the rules and stuff I’m going what’s the reason there? Have I missed something there? And you go well that’s just kicked him in the face. We’re getting it all wrong surely aren’t we? Because you watch that live and your eyes go yeah penalty. It’s so simple and how they’ve come to that conclusion is beyond me. The only fortunate thing for Brighton were that they they uh didn’t let it affect them and they drove on to win the game. I mean the cross for Wellbeck’s first goal was oh my beautiful and what and what a header. Uh and then you know again a set piece and uh another goal. And what about the what about uh Wellbeck’s second goal? Cuz we said earlier on I went a it was a really cute finish like and you were like no I’m not having the goalie there. No, I like I like the finish and a dink finish is the way to go. But Sanchez had already made his big shape and everything from so far away from him. He had no impact on the ball or well back or anything at that point. You got to cover the space and really get onto him and then use your frame. If you spread and turn from three, four yards away, it’s a gimme. And look, I know it’s 3-1 the game. We’re already but like they’re the moments you look for. And as a goalie, when you’ve had a man off and you’re two- one down, it’s virtually last kick. You’re thinking, “Right, I’m gonna show a bit of something. I’m not just going to wait for my fate.” Oh, go make him make him do something. Make him beat you. Don’t beat yourself. Right. If you just sort of like stand there and commit and go, “Right, I’m just going to I’m just going to stand here and block and hope it hits me.” Back yourself. Yeah. Back yourself to have the reactions to flick out. I just thought he’d give up on it and and it were a bit like Chelsea. And ultimately, look, they were really in control of the game and comfortable. It’s a poor mistake that put Shalabar in big trouble. But again, the ref didn’t make that decision in real time. They’ve had to come back and at least they make the right decision. It’s the right decision. But like refs and are just so reliant on the technology now to make decisions. They don’t want to make a decision. Why would they though? No, but there’s no point exposing yourself, is they? Just might as well just They should give it a little every every season they should give it a two week period where they just let the referees ref and they take bar out of it. keep the goal line technology for the for the games but other than that let’s just see the referee ref right because apparently they managed for about 100 years before V right and it was all right so I reckon they’ve got a chance of being all right you either have it or you don’t exactly what about this if you talk about 100 years I don’t think a West Ham manager maybe got 100 days in him now so obviously Potter the inevitable I thought it was so bad to let him do the press and then do him about two hours later awful. But what’s your thoughts on that West Ham manager job? Not but this real real sour taste in people’s mouths. You know, similar it’s similar to the knock and forest one, isn’t it? As well, the way that they go about doing it. It’s all cloak and daggers and nobody likes that. Whether you’re a West Ham fan or not, right? You don’t like seeing your club run like this. I was listening to a guy on Talk Sport this morning. He said, “Listen, us as West Ham fans, we’re a weird bunch, right? We just want those moments. All we want is moments. We want flare players.” Yeah. You think of the famous West Ham moments gone by like Po Gus Pouyet doing that unbelievable one or Dmitri Payet doing that ridiculous free kick past Wayne Hennessy. We just want those little moments and they haven’t got any of that at the moment, have they? They haven’t got anybody that’s going to go and just rip something up. Well, they’re only light in that instance. Is it Jared Jared? Absolute flare. Pa pett has got those moments. What what do you want if you’re West Ham? Like Moyes is probably the safest hands they’ll ever have over the period and they were never happy with him and he’s given them that moment and he the one in Europe. He’s given a West Ham fan that moment but they were never really happy with him. Look, I thought Latei were very unlucky to get the sack when he did but he weren’t seen as the man. Potter was supposed to be coming in and be such a better version of a lopagi in terms of they’d be organized but they’d be able to get the flare and attacking stuff. It’s been an absolute disaster of an appointment and because the league’s tough they’re really fearful of where they’re going to end up. Uh but Nuno sure safe pair of hands what he done at Forest were phenomenal but it’s not going to be expansive free flowing football. It’s going to be set up for a transition team and they’ll it’ll keep them in the league. But then they’ll be happy this year that they stayed up. But what happens next year because if they don’t recruit well that style of play is not going to work at West Ham. Yeah, they got a tough one tonight as well. Everton away is horrible. Moyes will be like, I’m going to show you what you know what I mean. Yeah, Moyes. Yeah, it’ll be You can see why West Ham I mean I didn’t realize. So he they sent him out for the press conference then did him after couple hours later. Horrible, wasn’t it? That is that’s poor. It’s bad, isn’t it? I mean, they know that that’s happening. Look, obviously, if they don’t let him do the press, everybody’s already made a decision, but like, yeah, been hung out to dry. To dry it. I I mean, it’s incredible that they allow stuff like that to happen. But that’s then going back to Ben’s point about how the club is ran and the feel for these clubs. I mean, it’s a an unbelievable football club with so much history, West Ham. But I think if I’m a football manager, the way they’ve been running it and ultimately you’re under pressure from the fans for sure. I’m not sure it’s the the the environment you want to be putting yourself in if I’m truthfully honest, you know, but they they’ve they’ve made that they’ve obviously gone for it. Nuno’s there. He’s available. He’s proven. He’s done it in the Premier League with the exception of Spurs. But again, it’s Spurs. Final talking point, lads. We got quiz in a minute. Who’s bottom of the league at the minute? Who’s bottom of the league? Wolves. Wolves, aren’t they? Hey, better. No, it was better. Like, imagine this. The manager has seen what’s happened, changed the formation, made seven or eight changes to the starting lineup. No, it was better. Wolves were unlucky. They were. No, they were unlucky. They did. They did well. I thought they were unlucky. Did everybody have Erin Harland as captain this week? Uh, on Fancy. Did you? Everybody Everybody Everybody Yes, I did. How many points you want? Uh, still flying high. First and second in our mini league. First and second. How many points did you get this week for like 60 or 61? I’ve still got Undy tonight as well. I got Undy and Tarovski. There you go. Yeah. Big Erlin in Harland. I um it was like 3-1. You were looking like you’d had a nightmare there. Exactly that, mate. Everybody sweating and then Louis had rugby and we pulled into Mackades cuz he was starving. So I got him a dirty little M chicken sandwich with cheese, extra cheese. And uh I said, “Ah, let’s just quickly like we was waiting for the food. Quickly check the games.” Oh, he’s so good and scored two in extra time. Oh, the second one with the two defenders is so bad. Like, oh my god. He just put it on. How How good attacking is it though from him? He can smell it. He can see it. Yeah. He sees them both going to it and he goes, “Right, if you two are going to go for there, the more chefs spoil the broth.” That’s what it is, right? And he’s going, I’ll just wait into this little space here. Then boom, one of them gets to flick on because they get too drawn into it, too excited. Boom. He’s in. And he’s never going to miss, is he? And just coming to Forest, first five games, lost, lost, drawn, drawn, lost. Are you worried if you’re a Forest fan? Um, so four from bottom at the minute. Yeah. Um, I I I wouldn’t be worried because they’re not going to get relegated, but off the back of last season’s success and how well they were and how settled they were and they look like they’ve got this awesome system and players are really coming through and getting their flowers now. Morgan Giz White and Anderson and Chris W 20 goal a season to this season where nobody’s really getting piped up very much, are they? Nobody’s getting so much love attached to them because they’re losing games and at the end of the day it’s about winning games in the Premier League. He’s you reap what you sow basically and that man that owner listen he he is he’s dropped a howler at that he’s let his ego and his emotions get ahead of footballing decisions and they’re a great football club and I wouldn’t want to see him get relegated but they they’ve dropped the ball big time. Yeah, they’ve dropped a big ball and and I think his egos and he’s thought right, I’m going to make this call and me and An have got a relationship and I’m going to put him in, but the players now are not suited to doing what Ana is going to want him to do. But they’ve lost that feel, the solidarity, quite sure where they’re at. And ultimately, we’ve we spoke a lot about V, but I thought the ref were very good on because it is a it is a dive. It is a cheat. the guy’s not touched him and it’s a foul and then you go into a set piece and Nico Williams on the edge last man thinks he’s getting blocked off and Wood inside him should have come in and then tried to get the second man. It just there the connections are not there at the minute and I know Rof’s played really well and made some big saves but Sunderland should not be going to Nottingham Forest and winning. All right, Andrew not had a home game. That’s his fifth game and it’s his first home match. But for Sunderland to go and win there, that that’s a real red flag for for his fans and that team. They have to get a result. Steady ship. It was it was but that’s what I mean. The owner, like you talk about ego, he’s just let his ego get in the way. And he spoiled it. Like he could have just taken that little bit of pill and gone, “No, I’m just going to I’m not going to react. I’m not going to get annoyed with you, Nuno. Like, I’m not going to come on the pitch. I’m not like just keep it going.” Nice. Yeah. The only the only thing that Nuno is gonna be really pissed is the fact that West Ham already won at Forest because he’d have loved to take that West Ham team back to battered them. Yeah. I tell you what, it’s really nice to see the newly promoted teams. I think they’re on 23 points between them cuz after last season you kind of I think we’re all a bit worried that oh god is this going to be the Premier League? Sunderland fifth, mate. I love it. I do. I love it. It’s so good. I know Burnley got pumped at the weekend five but it’s it’s that was misleading. It was misleading. I totally agree. Like and to score two OGs in a game. Do you know who the last Premier League player to score two OG’s was? Your mate in it. Super Gy before he went on his clicking them in. H Let me just flick another one and put a baggies out on good lad. There’s a good boy. There’s a good boy. Final question lads and we are going to the quiz. I promise you. Who is the better striker Harry Kane or Erland Harland? Kane 100 games 104 100 goals 104 do that big Kane 100 goals in 104 matches beats Harland at City by one game. Obviously one’s in the Bundes League and one’s in the Premier League. You answer the question. You can’t answer it, can you? Do you know why? Because they’re different strikers. They are. But if I had to pick one for my team on a Saturday, I’d have Harry Kane. I think if there’s one chance pops up in the box, I think Kane, you’d put everything on it. I think Ireland’s phenomenal and I think his all round game is better but that one chance falling to one of them two Harry Kane killer ruthless mate just finds corners but Erin Harland will create you goals and chances that Harry Kane cannot do so so what’s the answer what’s the answer then I I personally I personally would go Kane but if you said Harland and you said Harland and everybody said Harland I would understand I’m not talking about you get one chance falls to you right I’m talking about Premier league you at the start of the season. Who’s your guy? Harry Kane. Do you know what? I love it though. I respect everybody’s opinions. Yeah. You’ve only done that cuz you got that Bayern Munich show on. Oh yeah. I didn’t even think about that. Um I put I put some like tweets out the weekend talking about football and stuff. One of them was about that Josh King miss actually. And I thought, oh, I just see what everybody sent. I just put something like is it only me that thinks that’s actually not a penalty and it’s was a right decision? Oh my god, you scumbag. 1. Southgate is absolutely rubbish. Why has Southgate not had a job offer in the Premier league since leaving England. Absolute joke as a manager. Why did united buy 2 number 10s and not sell Bruno, this has cost Amorin

  2. Absolutely pathetic bias against Arsenal. Lack of consistency by VAR. Last season Saliba won the ball and then heads accidentally clashed with Joao Pedro and that's a penalty? In what world does barely touching the ball mean it's not a foul. Anywhere else on the pitch and it's a foul, so why not in the box?

  3. Ole back I don't care if he got sacked last time that was because he had to fit Ronaldo into his system who didn't do anything off the ball. United under Ole was the best since Fergie. Ole's at the wheel!

  4. Total bias for GKs and Martinez, thas a blatant penalty. If what you're saying is the case then no penalty should ever be given if a player touches it away from the goalkeeper and goes down.

  5. I’ve got a feeling Tom is continuously cheating on the quiz. We’ve already learned that he has access to the answers beforehand, and we’ve seen people with far more integrity than he does get caught cheating when the opportunity presents itself.

  6. According to the pgmol that should have been a penalty. The refs have said that “getting a small touch” doesn’t override going through or bringing down a player as a goalkeeper anymore

  7. I don’t rate Southgate tactically but can’t be worse than Amorim. What he did do with England was create a team spirit and togetherness and players who fought for each other, if he plays his best players in positions that suit them a 4-3-3 maybe, it gets better. Not a Utd fan either just a random opinion and can see why the appointment might go down like a lead balloon.

  8. Clear and obvious error lads which it wasn't and it would have been given anywhere else on pitch 😊they just contradicted themselves when they said let reference reg the game

  9. Hooper didnt leave it to technology he clearly waved no foul straight away. Then he really didnt look like he wanted to be overruled for the red card.

  10. 51:14 That's nonsense. Haland can score goals that no doubt but Harry Kane adds more to the team for example Harry Kane can drop and give some good passes and he's also a good goal scorer.

  11. Guys, check the rules OR inconsistency… Last season Saliba contested the ball in the air with Joao Pedro, in the box. He WON the Ball and then he's head accidentally clashes with Joao Pedro's head, because they were both going for the same ball, right? 🤷‍♂Howard Webb himself explained the decision and said that regardless if you win or touch the ball first, if the follow through fouls the player it's a penalty. Thats why Arteta was also angry. Pope touched the ball and then brought G14 down with his a knee. So now, "he touched the ball first" and its ok ??? Very frustrating. Whatever the rule is, stick with it!

  12. Lmao this negative Arsenal view is because we're apparently serial complainers or whatever the popular narrative is these days. Even when we do win something, it won't end. Just gotta win in spite of it all. People will be harsher as long as you talk a big game without winning big things. It's football
