Qingdao Travel Vlog Marine leisure ๐ŸŒŠ Beer ๐Ÿบ And more beer ๐Ÿป๐Ÿบ Day 1 Arrived in Qingdao Day 2 Start of travel Day 3 Beer Right after work, to Qingdao..
Arrived at the hotel in Qingdao (้’ๅฒ›, Tsingtao) Looking at the scenery outside It’s late since we arrived in Qingdao, so we’re going to eat dinner Since there’s a seafood market nearby rather than a place with a lot of tourists, we’ll go there and have dinner first. We’ll probably continue eating from today, but since we arrived, let’s start with eating. Where do you guys usually go to eat? (The boss is a Qingdao local) When we eat… We go to Dando Market (ๅ›ขๅฒ›ๅธ‚ๅœบ). We go nearby. Oh, there’s food nearby. We don’t really go to places like Beer Street (็™ปๅทž่ทฏ).
Beer Street, the place that Taitung tourists go. The owner of the hotel said that all the people who go there are from other regions. The prices are a bit more expensive. Dando I came to the market (Tuan Dao Market, Tuan Dao
Market) Tuan Dao Market This place is a bit like our country, where you can buy seafood, process it, and eat it . I’ve now entered the seafood market. The market is quite large and there seem to be a lot of people. There are really many different types of seafood here. If you look inside, you can see that the seafood you buy here is processed and eaten here . Can I stir-fry these together? Should I steam this? Yes, yes. I left it to be processed for now and came to buy some beer. This is Tsingtao beer, and there are many different types. There are even fruit-flavored beers. I bought a Wonjang beer (ๅŽŸๆต†ๅ•ค้…’) for the first time, so it’s the first thing I’m eating today.
I went to work. I couldn’t eat anything all day because I was on my way to Qingdao… I ate a lot of seafood by myself: sea urchin, oysters, and conches. The price was around 30,000 won? Sea urchin, oysters, abalone, razor clams…
I think it came out to just under 30,000 won. This is a place where you buy food right there, go to a nearby fish market , and pay about 10 won for one dish , which is about 1,800 to 1,900 won in Korean currency . On the way back from eating dinner at Tuandao (ๅ›ขๅฒ›) Market, there is a port called Matou (็ ๅคด) near the accommodation, so we stopped by for a bit. I came to eat beer and skewers near the accommodation. The beer and skewers are out now.
After eating, I rested at the hotel and came out to eat again… It seems like the real trip will start tomorrow. Day 1 Scuba ๐ŸŒŠ Night market ๐Ÿข Beer street ๐Ÿบ It’s the second day since I arrived in Qingdao
. Qingdao (้’ๅฒ›) Yesterday, I walked around and ate. After dinner and seafood,
as soon as I arrived at night… I had dinner, a late-night snack, and my face was swollen from the start…
I had some time to rest, but this morning I woke up and decided to start my Qingdao trip. I can see the sea from my accommodation this morning, so I’m going to turn on the camera and show you what the sea looks like from my accommodation. It’s a bit cloudy right now, but in reality,
the window is dark so it looks even cloudier. It’s in front of the sea, so there’s a harbor in front, so you can ride a big yacht and it seems like a good place to spend some quiet time. I woke up and went to try yachting, but the weather is so cloudy today.
I don’t think I’ll get good videos of Xingguangdao (ๆ˜Ÿๅ…‰ๅฒ›) if I ride a yacht, so on a day like today , I thought it would be better to just go into the water, so I came to go snorkeling first. The weather is supposed to be clear tomorrow and cloudy today, so I’ll do the yachting tomorrow and today I’m going to try snorkeling.
Not snorkeling, but scuba diving!!! This is a place called Guangxingdao X (Singguangdao, ๆ˜Ÿๅ…‰ๅฒ›). I just arrived to go snorkeling and am walking to the beach with a company employee. The weather is a bit cloudy today, so I think it was a good decision to come snorkeling instead of taking a yacht. Here are the equipment and clothes. It’s my first time doing it, but I have a feeling it’ll be fun.
My first… scuba diving!!! You have to do pressure equalization at the beach.
Before we start, there’s a short training session . Hold your nose, don’t breathe out through your mouth, and don’t breathe out through your nose either. You breathe out like that.
Do you understand…??? When you go into the sea, there is water pressure. Your ears will hurt as you go down. That’s when you have to equalize the pressure. The earache will be solved . Finally, my first scuba dive!! Fish!!! Ah,,, uh,,, um,,, the underwater visibility… I just came out of the snorkeling experience. First of all, the weather here is a bit cloudy, but there are yachts, and you can snorkel right off the coast. However, the water isn’t super clear, so you can only see things that are very close, and there’s no such thing as a crystal-clear ocean, so I just experienced snorkeling once, and next time I go somewhere with cleaner water, I’ll get
my scuba diving license next trip… ๐Ÿคฟ ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒŠ I think it would be good to try different things then. It was my first time snorkeling, and it was fun. My ears hurt when I went too deep into the water. So they taught me how to do it, and after a while, I think it got better . This Xingguangdo Island (ๆ˜Ÿๅ…‰ๅฒ›) isn’t very crowded, so it seems like a place where people go to relax by bicycle or with their families. If you look to the side, you can see yachts, so I think they go on yachts and stuff. There was a yacht right next door, so I briefly considered going for a yacht ride, but the weather was cloudy, and I thought it might be better to go to the Olympic Sailing Center. Qingdao is overflowing with tourists right now. But here in Xingguangdao, there’s no one. It’s like a resort, so there’s not much around, so it’s a good place to enjoy a quiet vacation. I didn’t eat anything in the morning, and I went scuba diving. I noticed that the difference between snorkeling and scuba diving is the equipment you wear, but it ‘s deep-water snorkeling, but I’m wearing the same equipment as scuba diving. I don’t know what to call it, but I didn’t eat anything , so I bought some jianping (็…Ž้ฅผ) and pancakes on the way to my accommodation and am eating them as a snack. I can’t bear to see them eating on the street… I went into the water earlier and washed it a little with fresh water, but I did wash it with tap water, but… I couldn’t wash up properly, so I came in to change my clothes and wash up. It’s great~ It really feels like a leisurely beach vacation. I rested for a while at the hotel and then came out. There’s a famous chain restaurant near the hotel called Weishuijiaozi (้ฑผๆฐด้ฅบๅญ, boiled dumplings with fish inside).
The fish dumplings (้ฑผๆฐด้ฅบๅญ) seem to have fish inside. I heard it’s famous, so I had a quick lunch of dumplings there . They were serving up
fresh-looking seafood like this. It looks fresh, doesn’t it? They even have live fish and clams in the water here. This is rice made with dog meat. My friends told me I had to try it when they came over , so I ordered one of these and another with dumplings. So now both of the dishes I ordered have arrived. The one on the right is dog meat rice. It’s dog meat stir-fried with rice and other ingredients. This is fried rice with dog meat, and the one on the left (stir-fried and placed on top of the rice) has four kinds of dumpling fillings inside, I think it’s similar to fish water dumplings. I’ll try it first. Waitress: I just ordered a beer . It’s already being poured . Please wait a moment . The dog
meat rice was really, really delicious!! There are chives, meat inside, and crunchy dog โ€‹โ€‹meat, and it has a chewy texture, it ‘s really good. The dog meat is inside like this, and it’s really delicious. If you come to Qingdao, you must try the dog meat fried rice . I just came out after lunch and ate dumplings and dog meat bibimbap, and the dog meat bibimbap was really delicious. The meat, chives, and dog meat had a chewy texture, it was good. Now I’m going to go to Zhanqiao, Jianqiao. I’m heading to the Jianqiao (ๆ ˆๆกฅ) pier. I’m going along the coastal road. It was very cloudy this morning, but now there’s a bit of blue sky. There are a lot of clouds, but there’s a bit of blue sky. The pier represents Qingdao for two reasons
. The pier represents Qingdao for two reasons . One is Tsingtao Beer, which we all know. The logo on the beer is a pier. It can be said to be a representative building of Qingdao . The other is that it used to be a German concession, and the pier was built to create a port where ships could come in to bring in supplies to prevent foreign invasion . You can see the pier in the distance, and in front of that pier, there’s a red, slightly yellow, dark yellow, red roof. That’s Huilan Pavilion. Huilan Pavilion. This is the picture on the Tsingtao Beer logo. There are so many people here. It feels a bit like an octagonal pavilion by the sea.
The sound of that flute… ใ… ใ…  We’ve arrived at Jianqiao, a quiet place.
The sound of that flute…ใ… ใ…  Let me explain the history a little. Qingdao was invaded by Germany, and it became a German concession. It was probably around the 1890s, and the reason the pier was built was because the Qing Dynasty needed to prepare for foreign invasion, so they needed a port to bring in supplies, and a place to ship them. That’s why they built this pier, but the Germans still invaded and it became a concession. After it became a concession, if you look behind you, you’ll see red buildings . These are European-style buildings. The red roofs are distinctive. That’s why the most symbolic expressions of Qingbao are blue sea and red roofs. I think the pier is the best place to see it . If you come and go here, it’s like you’ve been to Qingdao once. I came to Qingdao but didn’t go to Zhanqiao. I didn’t go to Qingdao . I came to Qingdao but didn’t go to any other places, but if I went to Zhanqiao, then I think I’ve been to Qingdao. Sweat is pouring down my face like rain. You can tell by the arm holding the camera that it’s soaking wet, like someone who just got out of the water . This is Zhanqiao from the other side. I took this picture while walking from the other side earlier, and I’m taking this picture now after crossing Zhanqiao. 54 Square (54ๅนฟๅœบ).
When you arrive at 54 Square, I’ll explain what significance 54 Square holds and why it’s so famous in the heart of Qingdao . You can see the symbolic structure of Wusi Square on the left, and you’re in front of 54 Square. In China, sometimes government buildings or squares have empty spaces in the middle,
as if to show the government’s authority… There are places where no buildings are built in the middle. Behind me, I think it’s the city government building or something, but from that building to the 54th Square, there are no other buildings. So, the scenery here extends directly from the 54th Square to the sea. The 54th Square was the site of the 1919 54th Movement, a movement against Japanese imperialism, similar to Korea’s March 1st Movement. It originated in Beijing, but it’s said to have originated in Qingdao. So, to commemorate that, this square was named 54th Square. At the time, Japan was invading and ruling the Shandong Peninsula , and anti-Japanese movements arose against that. What ‘s unique about the 54th Square is that you can see the skyline alongside traditional buildings. There’s a skyline, but if you look here, you can see the traditional red roofs. This is the sea right in front of the Wusi Square. Xiaoyushan (ๅฐ้ฑผๅฑฑ) .
We’ve now arrived at Xiaoyushan, or Xiaoyushan (ๅฐ้ฑผๅฑฑ). It’s a famous spot because, although it’s low, you can see the entire city of Qingdao from the top… It’s 6:35 now. The weather forecast said the sun would set at 6:48, so I think I made it just in time. I got off at the entrance and walked about 50 meters, and I think I reached the top. I’m done. It’s cloudy right now , so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to see the sunset. I can’t see the sun . I don’t think I’ll be able to take
a picture of the sunset. There are a lot of clouds, so I’ll give up on the sunset… I’m going to rest here for a bit before heading back down. The clouds are so thick that the sun is completely invisible , so I don’t think I’ll be able to see the sunset at all. Let’s go up to the top of the building. This is the beach as seen from Xiaoshen. On the other side of the sea, I think that’s probably the Qingdao TV Tower. I sweated so much that I went to Xiaoyushan (Xiaoyushan), then Xiaoyushan, then came back to my hotel to wash up a bit. I’m going to go to the Taitung (ๅฐไธœ) night market. I was going to take a car, but since there are so many people at
the Tuandao (ๅ›ขๅฒ›ๅœฐ้“็ซ™) MRT station , it’s the weekend, and it’s hard to find a car. I actually called a taxi, but they couldn’t find a car at all . There’s a subway station nearby, so I’m at the subway station now. This is the Qingdao Tuandao (ๅ›ขๅฒ›) MRT station. Here’s the app for the Qingdao Metro (ๅœฐ้“, subway). I think I can get in by scanning the QR code with Alipay and using the app . The most annoying thing about the Chinese subway… Luggage check… I paid with a QR code and came out. Taitung Night Market (ๅฐไธœๅคœๅธ‚) Looks like there’s a line of cars . This is why taxis can’t come. All the alleys around here are restaurants, so I think it would be nice to walk around like this in a winding circle. There are restaurants all over the street. I took a look around the Taitung Night Market here. I thought it would be small and have like small snacks, but it’s like this alley is full of restaurants, and it’s not just one alley, but there are restaurants on both sides of the alley. So in front of them, they put up tables and call it a dapaidang (ๅคงๆŽ’ๆกฃ) like a food stall . It’s set up like this, but there are so many people, and there are about five or six roads that branch off from this one road, and they’re all packed right now. Most of the people eating there are tourists, he said. When I talked to the hotel manager yesterday, he said that he doesn’t go there. Only tourists go there. And because the traffic is so bad, taxis don’t want to come. There were so many cars on that narrow road back there, and now there’s something coming up ahead . Don’t do that. The light is so clearly red. Don’t do that. The light is so clearly red and cars are passing by, but in the Taitung Food Street (ๅฐไธœๅฐๅƒ่ก—), on the narrow road, cars, motorcycles, electric motorcycles. There are small shops here, duck head oysters, sheng jian (half-baked, bottom-fried dumplings?), squid . This was the Taitung Xiaochi Jie (ๅฐไธœๅฐๅƒ่ก—, food street?). There was a restaurant over there, but this is a small night market where the restaurant was earlier . This is Xiaochijie, so it’s mostly a small food stall that sells skewers and things like that that are light to eat. The night market is all about seafood, and this Xiaochijie (food alley) has all kinds of Chinese food, not just Qingdao’s specialty . They even have popcorn… These days, Sanpi (a Qingdao specialty that’s sold in bags on the street or at supermarkets) Sanpi? Sanpi? They put Sanpi in bags, but they also put it in plastic. It’s hot, so I think some Sanpi would be good. Ah~ This is grilled pig’s feet. This is grilled pig’s feet. I went to the front to buy some , but it
was so hot that I was sweating… When I looked, there was a line behind me. It’s grilled pig’s feet that you have to line up for. I was going to eat grilled pig’s feet, but the line was too long, so I had Wonbo (the director’s original?) and Jeongsaeng (draft beer). Except for fruit-flavored beers, the only thing I haven’t tried (since coming to Qingdao) is IPA. I’m drinking it now , and it comes out of a machine and comes in a plastic container. It’s evolved from a bag to a plastic container. It ‘s okay (I think they’re asking if they’ll close the lid). It’s hot, so it’s cool… Ah~ It’s cool. It’s cool. They put it in a cute plastic container like this. It seems like they have a lot of drinks here . Oh, there’s that one over there.. Tsingtao Beer Exchange Blueberry flavor is 15 yuan for 500ml (about 3,000 won). I heard that the Qingdao Beer Festival is set up in a few other places besides the main hall, but there’s nothing else there and only the beer exchange is here, and I think that’s right. One squid… It looks fresh, and the squid is cooked on a griddle like that by pressing it. I poured the seasoning over the oil and sprinkled some vegetables and stuff and almost finished the beer, but boss, please make it spicy . I finished the beer and am going to buy another one. What I just ordered is Jinliang Pijiu (็ฒพ่‰ฏๅ•ค้…’, high-quality beer). The larger bottles have names like this that can be advertised . Jinliang Pijiu (็ฒพ่‰ฏๅ•ค้…’) I bought this and it’s not bad either. But I definitely think I like IPA the best when it comes to beer. Hmm, it’s delicious. It’s fried in oil, so it’s not greasy or anything . I asked for it to be spicy and it’s deliciously spicy. I finished it all. Tsingtao Beer Street (้’ๅฒ›ๅ•ค้…’่Š‚)
This is the entrance to Tsingtao Pijiujie (้’ๅฒ›ๅ•ค้…’่Š‚, Qingdao Beer Street). If I remember correctly, it wasn’t this sign, but there’s probably another sign in front. Let’s keep going back. Wow, compared to the night market in front, this beer street is completely dead . The Tsingtao Beer Museum is in front. As you go this way , there are a lot of people now, and the Tsingtao Beer Museum is
the Tsingtao Beer Museum (้’ๅฒ›ๅ•ค้…’ๅš็‰ฉ้ฆ†) . Here you can see. Chun Sheng (draft beer, ็บฏ็”Ÿ), regular, white beer (็™ฝ็šฎ), 1903 1903 1903 is said to be the best. People are walking past the beer factory and oh my, it’s so hot, I’m sweating… Oh my, it’s hot and sweaty even at night oh my, there are less people here so it seems easier to walk around. Earlier, the Taitung Night Market was so crowded that it was difficult to walk and stuff, but here there aren’t that many people so somehow it’s like this So while I was walking around, the difference I found between the Taitung Night Market and the Tsingtao Beer Street is that in the Taitung Night Market you have to eat outside. So when it’s hot you have to eat outside while sweating. It’s good when the weather is nice in the fall or spring, but when it’s hot like this or really cold it’s a bit difficult. But now this beer street is all indoors. So I think there are less people. It’s all indoors, so you can eat comfortably with the air conditioning on, but I think these days, with the festive atmosphere and vacation vibe, people like the slightly warmer, more lively atmosphere of eating inside . Now that we’ve passed the beer museum, I’ve had two kegs of beer and am full, but I’ve only had the beer and one squid, so I’m going to get hungry soon . Where should we go for some food? I think I should go somewhere crowded , but there aren’t many people here, so this is the entrance to Beer Street. If you look on both sides of the entrance to Beer Street, there are beer bottles. On top of them are a guitar and seafood . I think they wanted to represent Tsingtao’s iconic beer and seafood. I had a beer while waiting for my food, and for the second, I ordered a stout (้ป‘ๅ•ค) . This was n’t something I chose right away, but it was part of a set meal, so I asked for it to be a little spicy. Since it wasn’t in the water, it doesn’t seem fresh. The seafood isn’t seasoned well, so in times like this, you definitely need something. I’m going to eat some Korean gochujang beer and fill my stomach before going in. It’s 11:30 right now. It’s not that late, but I’ve been walking around like this since morning, sweating a lot, drinking a lot of beer, and I’m full, so I’m going to go in a little early and rest. Day 2 Water leisure ๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ Beer Museum ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Beer festival ๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‰ Riding a yacht.. and even a jet ski.. The last day of the Qingdao International Beer Festival… Yes, it’s Saturday morning. It ‘s the third day since I arrived in Qingdao on Thursday night. This is the Olympic Sailing Center.
Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. In 2008, when China held the Beijing Olympics, the sailing competition was held in Qingdao. Oh, they said the weather was clear, but now it’s cloudy again. Hello, are you alone? Here in front, the small one is called a yacht (ๆธธ่‰‡, boat/fast boat).
In Korea, we just call it a boat. And here in front, the one with a dot on top is
a ๅธ†่ˆน (yacht). That one is called a fanchuan (ๅธ†่ˆน yacht). Since the prices are the same between the two, I’m going to choose , but since I’m going to ride a jet ski, I decided to try out the yacht rather than focus on speed . I’m going to ride the boat that’s coming in now and go out to sea for about 30 minutes and come back. I rented a yacht for 30 minutes. I’m alone. The price is about 110,000 won in Korean currency . This is a fanchuan (yacht, ๅธ†่ˆน) . This one is a yacht (boat, ๆธธ่‰‡). It’s heavy to go up… For safety, I’m wearing a life jacket and we’re going to depart now . Can I go to the front of the boat? Can I go forward? Thank you! Go sideways. You can go over. You can go out in front of the yacht and take pictures. As long as you don’t get lost, it should be fine. I ‘m on a yacht like this. I’m a little bit farther out in front . I’m out in front and taking a video. It’s hot, but it feels a little cooler here.
The sea breeze feels cool. The waves are a little strong today. So, even though I’m just sitting here, the boat is rocking back and forth a lot. I’m on a yacht and heading out to sea. It’s not going very fast, but it’s still very windy, so it feels cool even though the weather is very hot. May I ask you something? How much does a yacht like this cost? 2 million to 3 million RMB (about 400 million to 600 million RMB). They say a yacht like this costs about 400 million to 600 million RMB. The big ones must be really expensive. Can I go down and take pictures? Can I go down and take pictures? Move to the side. I’ll open the door for you. Thank you. The gentleman was kind enough to let me go down and take some pictures, so I’ll go down a bit. Inside here… There are tables and chairs. It seems to shake more when I go inside. And this is the kitchen. This is the bedroom. This is the bedroom. I think this is the bathroom? It’s locked… I went inside to take a look. There’s a bedroom so you can live under the yacht. You can eat, cook, and sleep. This is the inside. There’s a window here. I can see outside a bit. I came out to sea a little bit, but the waves are so strong that I’m scared to go forward right now. It feels like the boat is going around in a circle. It’s rocking really hard from side to side. Can I go to the front and take a picture? From the front? Okay. I tried to go forward again, but now that I’m out of the sea, the waves are really strong, so at first the man told me to go, but then he said it was too dangerous and it would be better not to go. Oh, oh, oh , oh. It’s rocking really hard to the side. Now , I can see the Olympic sign up ahead. There are people riding jet skis over there. I checked the weather yesterday, and today was a bit clear, and yesterday was cloudy, so I came to go yachting, but it’s been a bit cloudy both yesterday and today. There’s a walking area where you can dock the boat, and I’m going in. You can also go backward . The waves are strong, right? I got off and rode the yacht for about 30 minutes. I’m going to buy some jet ski tickets. If you rent that yacht for about 30 minutes, it’s about 600 won (100,000 won) . If you rent it for about an hour , it’s 1,100 won (200,000 won). A little over? 1,200 won? It seems a little low. Sit in the front? This is a jet ski and that’s flying over the water… something like that. Don’t drop your hat . The video is in the jet ski riding position… ใ… ใ…œ It’s refreshing, fast, and fun, but I don’t know if this will come out well. Oh my, oh my. It feels like flying over the water. The seawater splashes on your face, and you went up and down to get to the waves. Thank you for your hard work. How much is the drone filming?
Here’s a product description for taking videos with a drone… It’s 158 won. 158 won, 158 won. And I’ll give you the video without editing. I’ll give you the 258 won video with editing. I came here on a jet ski. It was a short ride, but it seemed really thrilling and fun. I went in on a yacht, rested, and came out. The place I’m at now is Badaguan (ๅ…ซๅคงๅ…ณ).
Badaguan (ๅ…ซๅคงๅ…ณ). Badaguan is also called the International Architecture Exhibition. When foreign powers invaded, not only the German concession but also the United States, England, and France came in. So
ice cream is 1 won, 1 won, 1 won!!!
They say this area has the architectural styles of 20 countries. There are so many Western architectural styles, and the buildings are so pretty, which is probably why there are so many people here. It’s said that famous Chinese people, like Chiang Kai-shek , stayed here. It’s called Hwaseolu (่Šฑ็Ÿณๆฅผ). Hwaseolu is where Chiang Kai-shek lived. Another unique feature of this area is that there are several streets, about four main streets, lined with different trees. Each street has exactly one type of tree , and each street has a different type of tree . The trees bloom or flower in season, and their appearance changes, giving each street a different feel . It’s a great place for a quiet stroll. This is right in front of the Hwaseolu beach . I think Chiang Kai-shek may have used this as a villa . I bought a ticket and came in. This is the building where Chiang Kai-shek stayed when he was in Qingdao. The inside seems to have been restored to its original state . Go upstairs, then climb the narrow stairs. This is the view of the beach from Hwaseolu. This is Hwaseolu seen from the front. It’s a bit obscured by trees. I don’t know if you can see it now, but
I’m drenched in sweat…. Sweat was pouring down my face, so I ordered squid skewers. Small squid, 2 for 15 won. Large ones, 20 won . Small ones, 2 for 15 won. Would you like it spicy? Yes, please make it spicy. Yes, thank you. I think I’ll go buy some beer. Hello, can I have a draft beer? 15 won. Beer to drink while sweating!!! I finished it all. The trees are so thick that I can’t see the building well. This is Gongju-ro (Princess Building). I’ll go in to Gongju-ro and come back. How many famous places are here ? Fossil Road, Spanish Landscape Museum, Gongju-ro , One person or two people? One person . Would you like a full ticket or a single ticket? What’s the difference? 20 won for one building, 50 won for three buildings. If you go to just one building, this one is 20 won, and if you go to all three buildings together, it’s 50 won . I don’t know which one is prettier… so I’ll leave quickly… It’s really hot, but since I’ve come this far, I’ll go to the Spanish Landscape Hall. It seems like they’re set up to do traditional Spanish performances . This is the Spanish Landscape Hall for bullfighting. I’ve never been there, so is this the Spanish style? I don’t know. It’s related to Spanish music, so the guitar is like this. Since it’s related to bullfighting, I think it exhibits famous Spanish history, guitars, tours, paintings, culture, and history. Let’s see . It’s not about what’s on display inside the building, but the architectural style , and it seems to embody the culture of that country within that architectural style . But there’s the Shanghai Concession, and the buildings there are big and pretty, so they’re nice to look at. But there are so many trees here , so it would be nice to take a walk around. Since there are so many trees, it would be nice to take a walk around when the weather is nice . Sweat is dripping down my arms . It’s about 3:20 now. If I go to the beer museum, I think I can enter at 4:00 . So the beer museum has
a reservation system by time slot. I buy tickets for about 2 hours in advance . I have a ticket for between 4 and 6:00. Since you specify a time when you buy a ticket, it’s best to plan your trip in advance and choose the time slot accordingly. And during summer vacation and beer festivals, when there are a lot of people, tickets are sold out. So I barely bought a ticket the day before yesterday. If you go to buy a ticket now, today is August 16th, but you can only buy tickets after August 20th. It’s full. I’m going into the beer museum.
Tsingtao Beer Museum ้’ๅฒ›ๅ•ค้…’ๅš็‰ฉ้ฆ† First, I’ve come in. There are halls A and B, so it seems like I’m supposed to go to hall A first . You can see a chimney like a factory, and if you go like this to the left of hall A, you’ll see the early building of the Tsingtao Beer Factory. It started in 1903. These are beer bottles that were used in the past, and they say they produce 18 billion bottles a year . That ‘s enough to circle the Earth 119 times
. 8 billion bottles. 119 times around the Earth 54 million times. Cheers!! They say it’s enough for consumers around the world to cheer 54 million times. Since there are a lot of Koreans, it’s also in Korean. But there were a lot of Koreans in Tsingtao. But now that those factories are decreasing, many of the Koreans have returned and many of them have disappeared. They explain that lager and ale beer differ depending on the fermentation process . This is the beer tasting area. They give you one beer per person . They’ve created a space where you can drink refreshing beer. You can sample one here and another one downstairs and get a souvenir downstairs.
The regular tickets are sold out, so I bought a ticket that comes with a souvenir set. There aren’t many people anymore when I go past the beer tasting over there. Oh, look at the beer being poured. Now, the video shows the beer coming up like this and various beer bottles are on display . This is where they inspect the glass bottles. The beer is being poured . The bottles of beer that have been made are flowing. Come to think of it, when you enter Hall A, they show the history starting in Germany in 1903, and they have old equipment on display. It could be real or fake, but they display old equipment and then go to Hall B to explain the production process, the production facilities, and the different types of beer. And now, you ‘re looking at a factory where beer is actually made. They sell various souvenirs here. The second beer I received was a fruit-flavored beer, I think . There are six types of beer (samplers). They had an event on August 15th (today), and the original price was 60 won, but it was 70 won (78 won), but I got a discount for 50 won (58 won). They sell food there, and you can have a beer each, and people can sit and drink and eat. This is the last one. Where are the souvenirs included with the ticket? There’s a service desk inside. The souvenirs I received . Actually, if you just buy a ticket, you can just buy the admission ticket, but the admission ticket doesn’t have a weekend. (The date you can buy it) is over until next week , so the souvenir tickets were still available for the weekend, so I got three cans of beer. It’s like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, with Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Liu Bei, and it seems like they’re drinking with the Oath of the Peach Garden, but I finished looking around the beer museum and ate six kinds of samplers. I bought them separately and ate them. After looking around like that, it took about an hour. I ‘m currently driving from my accommodation to the beer festival, and it’s 18km, but it took almost 1 hour and 20 minutes to go 16km. The traffic is really bad, and the problem is that there’s only 2km left and it says it’ll take 30 minutes. So I thought it was impossible, and the driver said there was an exit to the right , so I got off first and the driver said to go to the right so that we could get out of here. The traffic is so bad that it’s harder to walk. I can see the event venue on the left. There are some lights, and today is the closing ceremony of the Qingdao Beer Festival. So there will be a lot of laser shows and fireworks concentrated today. The food stalls here are well-appointed. Here This is the 1903 Cheongdao Beer Festival. There are several booths inside. Since I’ve tried all the Cheongdao beers, today I’m going to look for some craft beers. Since it’s the last day, there are a lot of people. It says ‘Tsingtao Beer Experience Center’. It’s probably an indoor booth and a place to buy alcohol. There’s a trading post in front of here. Hmm… I’m good at pouring beer…. Do you pour it yourself? Or…? Do you pour it yourself ? Why isn’t it coming out… Is it broken? Did I get charged? I bought an IPA there earlier. It’s 39 won for 500ml, but when I stopped in the middle, the alcohol wouldn’t come out. So I was wondering if it was broken or if they had charged me. You’ll only be billed for what you’ve followed up to that point, and the remainder will be refunded. Wow, there are so many people . Wow, there are so many people. They’re performing here. They’re performing here. They’re having fun among themselves here. So, there was a place decorated with beer mugs in the center, and I wanted to go there. Wow, what are all these? Just a question. Where is this? Go ahead . Thank you. I think this is the main entrance to the beer festival. There’s an iconic photo of a beer festival, and the most impressive photo I’ve ever seen was of two people each holding a beer mug in one hand and toasting. We’ve arrived at the main entrance to the beer festival. We’ve arrived at the main entrance to the beer festival. We’ve arrived at the statue of the toasting beer mugs clinked together, which we ‘ve seen in so many photos . This is the main hall of the Tsingtao Beer Festival. If you look behind you, you ‘ll see two people each holding a beer mug in one hand and toasting. It’s a symbolic structure, and whenever I search for beer festivals (on the internet) , this structure always comes up. While I was taking pictures of the structures , there were fireworks in front of me , which was really pretty . It was really pretty because there was a laser show and fireworks structures. This place is so big that I can’t find my way around, so I’ll have to ask if there’s a map or something. Is there a map of the beer festival site? There’s a map that can help me find my way around the event site . Thank you. Since this is an international beer festival , there are foreigners standing here like volunteers. Foreigners are standing here like volunteers. Where is the craft beer? (ๆ‰‹ๅทฅๅ•ค้…’) Craft beer? Craft beer (็ฒพ้…ฟๅ•ค้…’) There is craft beer. We are here now and our current location is here, this is the craft beer event venue. There are many kinds of beer there . If you go down, you will see it right away . There are many kinds and flavors of beer. Thank you. It is also called craft beer (ๆ‰‹ๅทฅๅ•ค้…’), but here it is called jingliangpiju (็ฒพ้…ฟๅ•ค้…’) and craft beer is called jinyangpiju (็ฒพ้…ฟๅ•ค้…’). I didn’t understand ๆ‰‹ๅทฅๅ•ค้…’ until I looked it up on Deep Chic. When I asked Deep Chic where the craft beer was at the Qingdao Beer Festival , they told me that it was jinyangpiju (็ฒพ้…ฟๅ•ค้…’) and I am now heading to the place where they sell jinyangpiju (็ฒพ้…ฟๅ•ค้…’) . The reason why people were standing in the square was because they wanted to see this . People were sitting in the square drinking beer, playing with their phones, setting off firecrackers, and taking pictures. Huh? I found a craft beer over there. I’ll buy some beer . It feels like I’m at a club… What kind of beer can you not normally buy?
The music is so loud… I can’t hear anything… It’s so loud that I can’t hear (what’s being said). I put the mic close to it…
It’s so loud, do you drink or not? Here’s what I ordered: shrimp and squid skewers. I ordered two to eat as a snack while drinking beer. Do I have to pay copyright fees for this?… Hey, you old men… Come down…. Right now, the Chinese are telling me to stand up and sing. They’re livening up the mood with nationalism… My country has come out a bit. I’m going to go to Tsingtao 1903 over there (Tsingtao 1903) . This booth feels more suitable for me than the previous one . I came to Tsingtao 1903 , but they sell small ones outside , and they only sell large ones here, so I don’t think I should eat here . It’s a shame that they only sell large bottles or ones big enough to drink beer
,,, but to the next place… They sell 500ml like this, but inside the wine cellar, they sell 1000cc and up inside the beer cellar. Wow, they set off these firecrackers almost every 30 minutes. It’s the Jinhua Craft Beer Competition Award-Winning Brand (Jinhua Craft Beer Competition Award-Winning Brand). They only sell the craft beer that won awards at the competition. I just bought this stout . Wow, this is delicious
. It’s the most delicious beer I had in Qingdao. Wow, this deserves to win an award at a craft beer competition. It really has a coffee flavor and a smooth coffee aroma , and it ‘s really delicious. I’m going to go to the Qingdao Beer Hall before I drink one more. Oh my~ This is a characteristic of Qingdao. People drink beer with their shirts off. There are really a lot of people. Yes, this is the German Pavilion. In front of here is Heineken, over there is Qingdao Chunsheng (็บฏ็”Ÿ) , and next to it is Carlsberg. On the left is the red Baiwei (็™พๅจ) Budweiser. In China, Budweiser was really popular in the past, but it’s a little less these days. This time, I started drinking beer at the beer museum in the afternoon and came to the beer festival in the evening and am drinking more beer. I think this might be the day I drank the most beer in my life. There are so many kinds. I have to ask about craft beer . What is the best beer? What kind do you like? I like IPA IPA… White Grim Reaper Baekmu-sang?
White Grim Reaper Baekmu-sang: White Grim Reaper In Taoism and folk beliefs, a ghost plays the role of a grim reaper.White Grim Reaper Baekmu-sang is also an IPA. Oh, this?White Grim Reaper Baekmu-sang? White Grim Reaper Baekmu-sang is also an IPA. But when I came here, wow~ there are so many kinds of craft beer . But what’s really strange is that there aren’t many people here who sell craft beer. Most people are inside the beer hall or heading towards the Tsingtao Beer Exchange, and there aren’t many people here. But I think I’m starting to get a little tipsy now. This lotus root has a slightly spicy aroma. It looks like octopus. Octopus legs . Wow, this is delicious . This is much tastier than squid.
I keep eating, so I think it’s time to stop drinking… These look like octopus legs, but they’re really delicious . I don’t think I can eat any more . I think I’ll stop here and call a taxi . Yes, I’m leaving the Tsingtao Beer Festival. This trip looks like it’s going to end here. I left the festival, but there were so many people and cars here that I couldn’t hail a taxi in front. They told me to go forward and catch one. Right now, there are 300 people around me calling taxis. I’ve just finished my trip to Qingdao and arrived at the Qingdao Airport. It was about two nights and three days, and I had a great time eating delicious food and enjoying leisure activities. I think I need to start thinking about where to go during the early October holidays.
Qingdao Trip [End] After my scuba diving experience in Qingdao, I’m planning to get my Open Water diving certification on my next trip.
