I'm considering what I'd like in my dream next bike…
My current bike is a much modified Trek 920, that I've used for trips to Kyrgyzstan etc. It's mainly for trail/off-road bike-packing adventures. So looking for an drop bar mountain bike, monster-cross gravel, adventure bike style bike…
Noting down the things that I thought important to me:
– 29" wheels
– Titanium frame
– 2.6" minimum tyre clearance
– boost spacing
– UDH
– 1 by gearing
– 18.5" or lower low gear (32 x 51 or lower)
– large frame triangle for frame bag
– wide drop bars: 50cm+
– 180mm discs front/back
– triple cage mounts on fork
My brief searching found things like the Curve GMX+ (no UDH), Moots Routt Esc (only 2.4", no UDH), Singular Gryphon Ti (custom to spec).
What are my bike options (and preferably available in the UK)?
