A quick trip on my bike around the Guns Lane and High Street areas of West Bromwich, highlighting a few facts on route (well actually with the voice over).

[Music] So, we’re just passing underneath the Albian roundabout subway, which goes below the A41 dual carriageway running from junction one of the M5 down to junction 10 of the M6. [Music] We’re now just traveling up the combined walkway and cycle way to briefly cross Dudley Street. [Music] I don’t want to kill you. I [Music] want you. [Music] We’ve just turned off Cordley Street into Bridge Street, making our way towards Guns Lane. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] We’re just about to cross over the West Midlands Metro, which is a light rail tram system that runs from Wolverampton to Birmingham, taken in 33 stops over a length of 14.9 miles. [Music] Do [Music] you [Music] know? [Music] [Music] There’s now a slight climb up Oak Lane into Oxford Road, which takes us past the National Express Buzz Garage. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] [Music] [Music] Wait. We’re traveling a short distance along Victoria Street before we make a left turn into Edward Street. On our right hand side is Edward Street Hospital which is currently undergoing redevelopment. We are now traveling down Lombard Street West. On our left hand side is a building site for new apartments. This used to be West Rome magistrates court. [Music] We are now in West Bromage Eye Street. The first building on our left is the public library. Next door is West Bromage Town Hall. This has just undergone extensive refurbishment work. [Music] [Music] Just across from the traffic lights, you can see a convenience store. This used to be the strollers pub, but before that for many years it was the new opole pub. Unfortunately, like a lot of pubs in West Jai Street, it no longer exists. [Music] Tonight [Music] down. [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] This is Carter’s green. In front of us, you can see a clock tower. This was handed over to West Bromage Council in 1897 to thank Ruben Farley, Mayor of West Bromage, for his 48 years of public service. [Music] Down. [Music] [Music] Hey. We are now back in Dudley Street completing our Guns Village and West Bromage High Street loop. Hope you enjoyed it folks. [Music]
