My first attempt at Mountain biking in the city of Aberdeen. Took a scenic visit to the beach and then, Seaton Park.
Come with me as I explore my city of Abadin this Sunday evening. Um, I left the house when it was like drizzling. So, I dressed up in rain coats. Someone has even yapped me when I posted this on Instagram that I looked like an old man that I was dressing like an old man. If only they knew how cold it was here in Abadin and how the weather could be quite erratic. Like one second it’s raining, the next second is sunny and then it’s still very cold. So I just had to go with my raincoat. The road was pretty decent. Um I just downloaded one app commute and it’s my first time using it and it put me like on a bike trail um around the city. I’m supposed to have like a scenic view of the city and then there’s some part where I get to a park that has like a beautiful view of flowers. So enjoy this ride with me. Um like I said road was pretty good, right? Um and I was following like cycling paths. Um this is where I saw like an amazing view of um the rainbow from the rain and I just had to stop and enjoy it to the shots that I took. Um am I too old to be fascinated by rainbows? Maybe not. Um, aside from well the science and all the explanation of the light refraction and everything, there’s also that um, Christian in me that knows that this is a sign from a covenant keeping, God, keeping yet another covenant to a world that he loves. Um, so yeah, I stopped to take pictures of the rainbow and headed to the beach. Can see the rainbow here again. It was even full. Like I could see the beginning of the rainbow, like the beginning of the ball and the end of the ball. So beautiful. Um, and it was really windy and cold and chilly. After the beach, I headed to the park and it was just me riding through like lush green gardens. It’s really beautiful to be honest. Um, comparing this to cycling in Lagos, a thousand times better. I’m sorry. Um, so this is me at the park. Um, I met a a mother of crows at at the entrance. Um, it’s called the seating park. Um, and I did a bit of mountain biking cuz um, the trail is a bit rough. It was really cool. Um, this is what I was looking from beginning. Like this was the initial plan. Wanted to do a bit of mountain biking. Um, enjoy my MTB as much as possible. It’s obviously what what I paid for, right? So went through all the bombs and everything. And then here I got to um the flower gardens. So beautiful. Like tried to do a video while I was cycling past. Can you see all the flowers? It was just it was just amazing. Like I was I was tripping. Like people were looking at me and they’ll be sure that I was this newbie. But like yeah, it was nice. a quiet evening. I sat here was already like starting to get dark, but it was still good. Like, it was still a very beautiful view. Um, took a few shots. Can you see that? So amazing. Love it. Love, love, love it. Um, so from here, I said it was getting dark, right? It got darker and then I went through the park and I was heading um trying to find my way back home. That’s some coral like that. That was really dark in the park. I think there was some part where I saw Okay, so I climbed this bridge, this wooden bridge. It was cool. I like the sound effect of my bike on a wooden bridge. And then this side was like very lonely. It was just about getting dark. It was like backyard of people’s houses and stuff. And then there was a lake on my right. It was just nice that you have like all these kind of things. just a secluded part that you could ride and you’re safe like you’re not afraid of our boys although boys to deal cuz so when I got through this coral you can see all those guys on the right um it was it was it was mainly just teenagers like smoking and enjoying themselves in their own way you get so it wasn’t like I was afraid of being harassed or anything like that can imagine passing this kind of thing in Lagos where you see boys smoking or you go fear the fear of being used. But anyways, um that was it. I took some amazing pictures and I had such an amazing time. Um would I do this again? Hell yeah. In fact, I think I need to make like a series out of it and find new routes every week and just explore my city. By the way, don’t you like this bike? This just rhymes with the rainbow. Thanks for watching. I’ll see you on the next one. Bye. [Music]
