These recently turned up. Until about 1980 (in the USA anyway) it was common practice for a bicycle shop to give you a canvas musette when you bought a bike. The one on the right came with my parents' matching Raleigh 3-speeds, sometime about 1967, while the one on the left I got with my very first 10-speed (a Peugot UO-8) before starting junior high school in 1976. It is very hard to grasp that so much time has passed while these were first hanging on a nail in my parents' garage, and then packed away in my sister's attic.
