There are many running and cycling spots in Prague. This video is your Prague outdoor activities guide. If you are wandering where to run and bike in Prague this is the right place to get an answer. We even participated in the Prague50 MTB / Gravel Race ( Pražská padesátka ).

The city is stunning and all the major touristic places are not to be missed but this is a different kind of guide. Watch this viceo if you are visiting the city but still want to practice some sports .

Prague has to be one of the European capital with the most green areas, parks and forests. That means that Prague citizens and tourists can practice a lot of outdoor activities. We tested 2 of the most popular spots for running and cycling: Stromovka Park & Vltava River Promenade. There are bike lanes all over the city and I would say that Prague is a bike friendly city. You can see many, many runners and cyclists all over the city. Kayaking and watersports are also popular along the Vltava river.

On the final day we were lucky enough to participate in the Prague50 MTB / Gravel race. The Czech name is Pražská padesátka . It’s a bike race on a course of 50 km on the outskirts of the city. Mostly paved routes (I would say 60%) and the rest on gravel, paths, single trails. It’s perfect on a gravel bike but a lot of fun on MTB also. Enjoy the video footage.

Here are the routes that we used during our trip in Prague:

This is the city of Prague you see in all other YouTube videos, but we will show you a different side of it. The places where you can bike, run, or even kayak. Prague is a wonderful place for outdoor activities. Enjoy this alternative guide of the beautiful city of Prague. Yes, we will discover Prague a little bit different than the normal touristical way. Of course, the city is beautiful to visit. Uh there are many places that every tourist visits, but as we normally do here at my street, we try to find the spots where we can run, we can bike, we can do sports. So enjoy this video and let’s discover together some interesting spots where you can do all these kind of activities. If you check the Strava running heat map, you will see that near the city center there are three popular places for running. Stroofka park, LNA park and the Volultava River prominate. The most popular one is Tromofka Park, which is a huge green area in the city center of Prague. People run here or just enjoy the scenery. There are many lakes and bikes are also welcomed. Another popular spot, Volulta River Prominade. People do hear all sorts of sports. Not only running bikes also welcomed. [Music] If you enjoy water sports then this troyakanoing center is the place to go. [Music] It’s really easy to exit the city center on the hills and forests. Try this route. It’s an easy one that you can enjoy [Music] going to this lake and then heading back to the city by the river. [Music] I was lucky enough to be in Prague in the same weekend that a famous race is taking place here, a mountain bike race. It’s called Prague 50 because it has 50 kilometers on the outskirts of the city. I’m here to pick up my race kit, BIP number and everything. Okay, so I got my number and some goodies. I’m ready to race. [Music] You can see [Music] the start was pretty fast. We exit the city center on paved roads, but really quick we entered some parks gravel style. It was still very crowded. People were trying to get better spots. We started descending also. Many climbs, punchy ones, really steep, mostly on pavement. I will say that this is a race suited better for gravel bikes rather than mountain bikes as 60% of the surface is pavements but still enjoyable to to race on mountain bike also. We pass some villages again on the fields. Full speed. Single tracks again. Pavement. So this went on and on for 50 km. At a certain point we stopped for refreshing having some drinks. There were three similar feeding points and then full speed again. Some nice descents where my full suspension bike was perfect. We passed the river. It was faster than going on the bridge. You see this gravel guy in front of me again. Some pavements coming back to the city into some parks. Some music on the way and then back into the neighborhood where it all started to the finish line. Oh man, this was a hard race. Full speed all the time, but enjoyed it. Really nice. [Music]
