Chasing Daylight: Exploring Norway’s rugged Atlantic coastline

Do you know the feeling of losing track of time on your bike because it simply doesn’t get dark? In northern Norway, that’s not a problem. Nathalie Schneitter and Nikolaj Juhlsen set out to explore the rugged Lofoten Islands on their Bosch equipped Rail+ e-mountain bikes. Known as one of the world’s most unique surfing spots, Unstad proved to be the perfect destination for an adventure trip of a lifetime.

Riding here felt like exploring a place where nobody has ever ridden a mountain bike before. And I think that’s uh yeah, that’s just the best ever. [Music] I don’t know even how long we were here, but feels definitely like I don’t know, one week shooting because of the light is just never ending here. Like it’s been pretty surreal to experience. I haven’t got much sleep, but it uh it was worth it for sure. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Being here in this really wild, raw, pure, a little bit rough landscape at the ocean in one side and mountains the other side. It’s It’s really stunning. You actually managed [Music] from 8 9 until midnight there was like this sunset just stretching out in the horizon and it was like the dream for me who is really into chasing ridge lines in good light. Yeah. Just have all the time for capturing those rides. [Music] [Applause] [Music] All the way down. All the way down. All the way down. We’re super fast. [Music] Me and Natalie, we were talking about like how lucky we are to be here and how lucky we are to like Yeah. just ride these beautiful places. We felt really really lucky. the classics. Very original. I would say I’m more an explorer than anything else. That’s what I love about riding bikes the most. Explore new areas, new trails, new landscape, new countries. And that’s why I’m so excited to be here. [Music] We got Hi hikers to go around here. I was saying it multiple times uh during the days. Man, I love ebikes because this terrain is like made for ebikes to climb up and ride down, climb up and ride down all the time. That was the dream. [Music] I have a deadline. [Music] I’ve been loving to ride the the rail up here. It’s I feel like this bike is made for exploring this terrain. It’s been awesome.
