#MTBWorldCup

The lights go green and they are off and racing in Switzerland. It’s a really strong start from Ro Ler on the right hand side. Eie Richards going well in the middle as well. Yeah, just on the right side. You see his color has got a good start as well. It’s really important we have a start climb on the first lap before we go in. So a little bit of time for the riders to jostle for position. Everyone away cleanly. Jenny Rford’s in amongst them. The UCI world champion in that jersey. First time we’re seeing a runner looking really really strong at the front. Larius already. Peterson in the orange jersey just behind Jenny Riids in the white and rainbow stripes. The UCI world champion in the red jersey of Samara Maxwell the overall points holder on the right hand side of her. Evie Richards on the right hand side. Alistander Keller moving up now in the red jersey for Tumis Maxon. Civilia Blunk in the middle for Dafflon Ford. Jenny Rristitz is in the lead right away as we drop into this section. It opens up really nice multi-line free shoots out the bottom. But you really want to be in, you know, top 10 if you’re looking to win this bike race. Cross has flappers as Jenny Rrist overtaken Sammy Maxwell. Now this is danger. This is danger. Ollie Malo still very very early in this race. This technical second half it there is an opportunity if RZ can put the pressure on just spread things out a little bit and make sure pressure is the right word that we have seen from Jenny Rus in 2025. She gets to the front and it’s death by a thousand pedal strokes for everyone else. cleanly off the drop as they head and listen to the noise through this section. Yeah, I love this section. Ups and downs, ins and outs. It gives the opportunity for the riders to really get a check of their competitors, the gaps they’ve got. It’s quite rare for a cross country circuit. Ris and Maxwell making a break for it here only if it’s not broke. Why fix it? Jenny Ris has worked for so far in the middle part of this season. Looks like it’s working again here in Lensor Haida. She was just a little further back going into the first single track. This bit’s horrible. Absolutely thankless climb this really difficult going. Yeah, it’s all off camber. It’s all You see the wheel back wheel of Tammy Maxwell just hitting out and you need to stay seated. You need to pick your line and you need a slightly bigger gear. It’s just a horrible combination of technique and power required to get up here. Well, we can get an update on the timing split now as they roll through one of the oneoff, if not the only quieter spot on the course. Crowd’s filing in still. I’m just looking at them out of the window the commentary booth. There’s Richards goes inside close to Latri Civilia Blunk. Maxwell up chasing back on 5 seconds is the gap on our screen. Richards 13 seconds back off your leader Risfits. Cilia Bl just coming into the background as well. Closing really quickly looking like she’s moving across to the SP. She has indeed. Yeah. So, Risfits, what are we reading from this then? Is she just doesn’t look like she’s sitting up at all. Let’s say these free riders have managed to uh track back on. I think they’re working really hard. They know that they can’t let RZS get a gap. They’re a rhythm. They’ve had enough of it, frankly. If they’re going to win the race, they cannot let RZs get away and get a gap. [Music] RZ’s extended again slightly here. So, The Chasers maybe thought they had her pegged back in, but starting to stretch them again. Alisandra Keller riding back on now as well. Keller looking really strong. Big race for her today as well. A massive, you know, home favorite. Looking good for Civilia Blunk in third place as well. I mean, great to see her back a bit amongst it. Slower start clearly than we would expect from her. But having said that, comfortably back up inside the top 10 really the last three or four times out. The rider in second position now. So Blanc has got past Maxwell and has taken the chase on herself, but Blanc coming back over to her through that couple of turns. Yeah, Blanc doing a really good lap and smooth and we’ve got these little kicks and flowing sections and you can actually if you can carry very good speed. Yeah, you see on that section coming out the turn, the acceleration, you saw the pressure on the pedals instantly you can close a few meters and you can be then you’re on the front foot mentally now. Blunts feels like she’s got the power. She closed three or four bike lengths there. Battle for fourth currently. Richards versus Keller. Yeah. 14 seconds, 18 seconds to these two. So they’re holding pace here. I think it’s Sammy Maxwell. He’s kind of drifted off a little bit. Blunt’s move forward between RFS and Kell stayed roughly the same. [Music] [Applause] Eevee Richards has now caught Samara Maxwell and she’s brought Alicandra Keller with her too. Maybe look at Eevee Richards just absolutely monstering through those roots past Maxwell. Now Maxwell coming under the attentions of Alisandra Keller and there is overall implications there. These two one two in that overall title race at the minute. Be interested to see now Jenny Riz she went hard on that first lap. Definitely looking to try and get a gap. Civilia’s managed to match her. Keller is now the front of this group. So that might be a different RV looks over and sees that. Is this going to provoke a reaction from the race leader now? She knows Alicandra Keller is extremely dangerous this weekend. She’s got the home crowd behind her. Alleandra Keller is heading towards the front of this race having broken free Maxwell. Where’s Eevee Richards though? Keller chasing on. Lonely race so far for Aliceandra Keller. Again, Rristford’s just looking like she’s not exactly lifting the pace up to the ceiling at the minute, which may allow this to chase him back on. [Applause] Blanc Blunk looking to get past Rrist here. Civilia Blanc. No, I thought she was about to move in the lead, but look at Alisandra Keller chasing on now. I think Jenny Risfitz did just roll back slightly. Samara Maxwell refusing to give up. Blunk showing Rristford that she’s every bit as up for this as she is. Wow. Oh, tomorrow action only on lap two. W Maximum attack from Civilia Blunt gets across the front of Jenny Rizford and is now in a little race. Here we go. Ollie talks through multi-line section. We see how much Cilla Blunt wants to be in the front before the rock slab accelerating here. They come together. Just takes the front wheel out of RZ. There’s Alisandra Keller fighting her way back onto the back wheel of Jenny Jenny Riz on the end of the lap. Five to go after this one. And they’re all together at the front. And it is going to be Cilia Blunk who leads Jenny Risfits and Allesandra Keller across the line. Civilia look over the shoulder and she sees Alisandra Keller behind her for the first time. Not Jenny Risford. So Keller into second place now. Here’s the overtake. Keller straight past Rristids. No quarter taken. Would you hang up short? Civilia Blanc goes down. Huge huge crash for the American. Oh no. Civilia Blanc out of the lead of this race in Lenser. That was a big crash. Huge speed as well. Oh, he talk us through it. Just got Oh, she needs to adjust her glasses. Took her hand off the grip for a millisecond to adjust her glasses and goes down. A huge huge impact for the Decathlon Ford rider. She’s up and moving again. Great to see just ahead of Eevee Richards now. What a heavy heavy impact. You can see covered in dirt there. I mean, she’s got back on in a set. Looks like she’s settling back into a rhythm again. But Ollie, how hard is this to do for a rider? She went down hard. She saw just check her shoulders. I think she banged the chest pretty hard as well, but she’s got straight back on mouth open. Breathing heavily on lap four out of seven here behind Alessandra Keller. We don’t see that this early in a race in 2025 from Jenny Ris that often. Keller looking really good to Ollie. What an elite women’s race we’ve got on our hands here. Ollie Bagenil, a real scrap between these two. And then it’s Lara Steer behind there closing the gap. She’s now up to third. And look who is at the front of that second group. Eevee Richards leading Civilia Blunt. Starting to get stretched out. Now Steer’s lost some grind here all of a sudden. You see Keller really throwing it in. And listen to the fans for Alisandra Keller as well. They know exactly what they’re looking at here in Lensor Haida. A Swiss leader. Rristid’s losing ground now on this descent. Keller accelerating there across that flat section. Look at her now out of the saddle. Alexander Keller applying more pressure here asking more questions of Jenny Risfits. Silia Blunt. 27 seconds. So still in the mix. Unbelievable ride from Cilia Blunt. Keller mouth open. Working hard. Hands towards the inside of the stem. Look at the gap now from Alexandra Keller. This is getting serious for Johnny Ris. This is dangerous. Ollie. Yeah, that gap’s gone out growing and growing. And you see, there’s Eevee Richards. Eevee Richards now coming back into contention here. Keller out front. Risfits in second by 5 seconds. 10 seconds back up. The leader is Eevee Richards. Civilia Blanc 28 seconds back up the lead. So, the winner looking likely to come from one of these first three riders. And we see Richards now basically onto the back wheel of Jenny Ryz. Keller still looking super aggressive. Yeah, Carrie. Really good speed through that section. Listen to this noise now for Allesandra Keller. The fans are going to see her out in the open. Meanwhile, Eevee Richards looks like she’s got past Jenny Rus for second place already. Richards into second ahead of RFIDs. You cannot cannot take your eyes off this one. Do not go anywhere. Eevee Richards is in second place ahead of Jenny Risfits. Alexander Keller up the road by 14 seconds now. Keller is attacked again out of shop. Here’s the overtake. Ollie just coming down this fast section and it’s Eevee Richards got the momentum you can see attacking that descent. There they are behind her now. Evie Richards only two turns. Two turns between her and Alisandra Keller in the lead of the race. That gap about 10 or 12 seconds now. Cilia Blanc coming back on as well. How is Civilia Blanc doing this? What a ride from the American which is just coming around this corner. Looks like the wheels are coming off a little bit all over the bike. It’ll Oh, Eevee Richards off the bike into the tech feed zone on the last lap. Rear wheel flap by the looks of it. Disaster for Richards. It’s a rear wheel change and up on Leapodium comes civilian block all of a sudden. Absolute nightmare. Evie Richards closing on Alisandra Cana just when we were beginning to paint the lens. It didn’t have any more drama in store for us. What a race. This is Richard is back on her way again. Chasing down Blunk. I wonder if she just got that puncture on the way in and just had the wear to pull it and stop Keller though. Meanwhile, throwing pedal strokes into lapis to stay ahead and that gap now back to RizFets. Back to 12 seconds just as we thought that Keller was going to get caught by Eevee Richards. What a ride. What a battle. What a race. 1,456 days since her last UCI cross country Olympic World Cup level win. Alleandra Keller sends the Swiss crowd into orbit. Alexandra Keller wins in Lenser Hider and that’ll be the biggest victory of her career. Jenny Risfits taking nothing away from her. battled hard every inch of the way for Canyon Collective in second place. In third place though, what a story. Civilia Blunt for the Capalon Ford racing team. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
