The World’s best 16 riders gathered at Great Blakenham Cycle Speedway Club to try and become the 2025 World Champion. Hot favourites going into the Final were, in my opinion, Noah Woodhouse (Great Blakenham), Dawid Bas (Świętochłowice) from Poland, Kenzie Bennett (Poole) and Daniel Robb (Le Fevre) Australia. All four have been in sparkling form in the lead up to the World Championships (Bennett becoming under 18 World Champion earlier in the day) and any one of the four could lift the title. Hot on their heels were Ben Clarke (Ipswich), Pawel Szkludarek (Ostrowskie Stowarzyszenie OMEGA), Josh Brooke (Great Blakenham) and Kosma Syrkowski (Torun) Poland. With a field of 16 riders you are always going to get some surprises, where some people manage to rise to the occasion, in that list is Lewis Brinkhoff (Great Blakenham) who is on his own track, and must have done hundred of laps on this circuit. Others to watch out for were former British Champion Zac Payne (Horspath), Ben Clarke (Ipswich), Will Jeffery (Horspath) and Reece Pollitt (Bury). Last, but no means least are Scott Millward (Birmingham), Brothers Ashley Hill & Matt Hill (Ipswich) the latter being a multi winning Indoor British Champion, and Feroze Langoo (Poole). Keep an eye out for the Poole youngster, he’s very unassuming but deadly fast out of the start and has a great turn of pace. Enjoy the racing….

[Music] And welcome onto the circuit the racers who are on track in the championship today. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Well, there we are. 18 superstar riders here to do battle for you this evening in this world final and uh only he could have been to witness what’s going to be an epic final and certainly there are other people here today who we might have expected to be out on track and this just shows the quality of today’s field the likes of Paul herd Chris Tims Ben Mold Lucaski Bobby McMillan Cody Chadwick riders who you would expected to maybe grace this final who didn’t quite get there for their efforts and the efforts of all the other competitors in this open championship. We thank them for their wonderful wonderful on-track exploits during this week. But now it’s time to meet and greet the riders who are going to do battle for the open championship. And we’ll be underway with racing number one. [Music] Yeah. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Straight on to heat number one. Ashley Hill off gate one. Daniel Rob gate two from Australia. Scott Milwood gate three. And a little bit of a move from Noah Woodhouse on the outside there. He makes the start, but no, it’s Ashley Hill down the back straight with Daniel Rob slotting into second. Scott Milwood third and one of the premeating favorites, No Woodhouse is at the back, but it’s Ashley Hill down the back straight on lap two. Daniel Rob chasing hard and No Woodhouse comes up the inside of Scott Milwood and he’s into third. Milwood at the back, but it’s Ashley Hill looking comfortable. Daniel Rob in second will have a look. No woodouse now making inroads to Daniel Rob but it’s Ashley Hill looking comfortable. Daniel Rob No is now up with them but now on the run to the line doesn’t make it onto number two we go. Zack Payne off gate one. Ben Clark gate off two. Cosmos Sakowski gate three and Josh Brook off gate four. Here they go. break into the first corner, but it is Zack Payne who makes a start and Ben Clark steams up his inside and Zowski makes the pass on Ben Clark and it’s a Ben Zack Payne has gone from first to last in one lap. That’s incredible off gate one. So, it’s Ben Clark from Ipsswitch down the home straight into lap two. Sukowski second from Poland, Josh Brook in third. And this is going to be one lap to go. And Ben Clark looks comfortable. Although Josh Brookke now has caught up with the pole, but is Ben Clark who’s going to cross the line. He wins heat number two. Well, this world final really is up and running now. And in we go to heat number three. We have Reese Pollock off from Berry from gate one. Bez Langu from Paul on gate two. Lewis Brinkoff three and one of favorites. Kenzie Bennett steams around the outside into slots into third place but it is Lewis Brinkoff in first place and FZ Langu. What speed round the first and second corner. He slots into second place. And now Kenzie Bennett challenges Ree Pollock. He’s made the switch and he drives up the inside of Pollock. But it is Lewis Brinkov from Great Blakeham in England. He is leading this one as they go into the last lap. Fez Langu from Paul. He’s in second place now. He’s being challenged by his teammate Kenzie Bennett, but he hasn’t got enough time. He has a bit of a look a slip, but he makes the line to Spez Langu. Well done. Good Bronov. Four points. Here we go for heat four. Matt Hill from Mips. Gate one. David Bath from Poland. Gate two. Babuatic. Oh, there’s a bit of movement there from all riders. Babelic seem to move and Ash Hill and Will Jeffrey on gate four will have another bite at the cherry but it’s an even break in heat four. It is Matt Hill from Mfish down the back straight. Devast into third and Will Jeffrey at the back. It’s Matt Hill who streaks down the home straight and down the back straight on lap two. David Bass in close contact with Scarak coming up the inside of Bass and makes the pass on Matt Hill. They are side by side. What a pass. The pole goes into first place. David Bass in second with now Matt Hill relegated to the back and he’s given up. Will Jeffrey from Horse Path in third making the chase, but it is Splurac loves it. What a race. What a win. Classic Cycle Speedway to heat number five. We have the brothers Matt Hill and Ashley Hill off gates one and two. Zack Pay from horseback gate three and Lewis Brinkov had that win in his first race. What a start by Brinkov and he comes around the outside. What a start by Lewis Brinkov. He has made it off of gate four. He has rounded all his competitors and it’s Ash Hill in second place. Zack Payne from Horse Path in third and Matt Hill on his way to his second last. What a start by Lewis Brinkoff. This man is on fire tonight. He is streaking away and he is going to go into the last lap with a four bike length lead. He is on fire. Ash Hill in second place. Zack Payne will consolidate for a twopoint gain. What a win by Lewis Brinkoff. That’s eight points, two race wins for him. Second place, Ash Hill. Third place from horseback pain. And in to heat number six we go with David Bass off of the inside gate. Reese Pollock from Barry on gate two. Daniel Rob gate three and Cosmos Sherikowski off gate four. Again, it’s an even break, but it’s Bass with Rob coming around the outside. There’s a little bit of a tangle between Plet and Sakowski. And the referee Bob Prince says we will have a rerun. So we’ll have a restart with all four riders. Bass off of one, Plet off of two. Daniel Rob gate three and Sakowski off of gate four. And it is D Bass makes a better start in this one. He goes into first place. Plet second. And Sakowski looking at the inside. Dan Rob takes him wide. Gives him a little bit of nudge. Puts him off the track. Referee blows his whistle. That is going to be an exclusion for the pole. Yeah, he is out and he’s not happy. But that’s the way it is. Heat six restart. David Bass has another go. Popup moving at the start, but it is Bass makes a good start. He streaks down the back straight with Daniel Robin third. He’s off the track again. He jumps off of the track onto the grass, but it is David Bass from Poland. Down the back straight in second place behind by three or four bike lengths. It is Reese Polllet and Daniel Rob giving chase. He is giving chase. I don’t think he’s going to catch up. We’re going to go into the last lap. It is David Bass from Poland. He is going to add four points to the three points he’s already got. That will make seven. Polllet in second place and Daniel Rob in third. Looking at the gestures by the referee, I think Daniel Rob has been excluded from that race due to him jumping onto the curb. And we’re looking at heat number seven. Everybody’s moving, including the gate number one, Kenzie Bennett. He is one of the favorites for this world title, and he has been excluded by referee Bob Prince. And obviously he’s making claims that he heard something, but no, we are off and running again with heat number seven. Scaric gate one. He won his first race. Ben Clark is unbeaten as well. Scott Milwood from Birmingham gate four. But it is Scodaric down the back straight chased by the Ipswitch rider Ben Clark. This young pole is certainly very very quick around the track. I don’t think Ben Clark although he is catching is going to make the pass. I think it’s going to stay like this as it is. Eric now he will go on to eight points. He’s won his both his first races. Clark is caught up. He’s going to have a little bit of a nibble. He’s going to have a look, but it is not going into the checkered flag. Here’s the pole. Squid. He wins heat seven. Ben Clark second. and Scott Milwood in four onto heat a number eight and we have Will Jeffrey off of gate one from horse path Josh Brook from gate breakman gate two his teammate no woodhouse gate three and the fast starting Fez Langu from pull on the outside and they’re away and it is Will Jeffrey that makes the start Langu then cuts underneath Woodhouse relegates him into four Josh Brook in second it’s Will Jeffrey after one lap down the home straight leading Josh Brooke. No, Woodhouse now is going to steam up the inside of Fez Langu. He wasn’t looking. Takes him a little wide. That creates a bit of a gap between Brook and Woodhouse. And it is Will Jeffrey having a little bit of a look over his left shoulder, but speeds away down the back straight. Josh Brookke really needs this. He needs to get past Will Jeffrey. He wants to put his title back on track. He’s going to have a little bit of a nibble. He’s looking. No, he’s not. Jeffy’s going to take the four points. Looking second. What else? Third, a disappointing fourth for Barose Langu from Paul to heat number nine. We have Will Jeffrey for his second race on the trot of gate one. Cosma Sakowski gate two. Kenzie Bennett gate three and Ash Hill off gate four. And it is Will Jeffrey that looks after everybody on the first corner. He’s way down the back straight. Kenzie Bennett comes up the inside of the pole. Pushes him. Pole seems to accelerate around the corner. Then Bennett the inside of the pole and Jeffrey slots into second. And now Ashill is going to come through as well. All right, by Kenzie Bennett. He knew exactly what he wanted to do. He streaks on to three with Will Jeffrey in chase and Cosmos Silkowski in third. Ash Hill from it switch in fourth position. One lap to go. Bennett has a look over his left shoulder. He’s got this one in the bag. This will be four points. He’ll be ruining that gate exclusion when he was off gate one as well, but he finishes. takes the four points. Jeffrey in second with three. Zowski gets two points and Ashill one 10 gate four. Pavl Derek he’s the man unbeaten so far. He’s got Daniel Robin three. Fez Langu on one who makes the start. Daniel Rob looks around the outside Painstein got up the inside of Daniel Rob. Gives him a bit of elbow. Drifts out wide. Scar says thank you very much. I’ll slip into second place. He’s had two heat wins so far. and he is now slotted in. He’s only going to drop one point for Fros Langu in this one. And that’ll do nicely for the pole. Z Pay in third. But that’s a good heat win for Fose Langu if he can last this last lap. Derek is going to sit for second place. That’ll do nicely for him too. Three points. Sack pain for is happy with that. command onto the 11 big race could decide the destiny of this world title. Brinkoff gate one. He’s unbeaten. David Bass, he’s on gate four. He has only dropped one point and you got Josh Brook off gate three. He needs to get his world title back on track. Milwood off of two. And it is Brinkoff. And Josh Brookke is off on the first corner, but it’s Brinkoff down the back straight. He is away. Davin Bassing chase having troubles down the home straight even nearly off the bike. But it is Brinkov streaking away down the back straight. He’s going to be unbeaten in his first three rides and the destiny of this title is going to be in his hands unless David Bass actually catch up. No, he’s made a little bit of a mistake there but it’s spring. Three races, three wins. He is going to be looking at this world title as if it could be his. Well done, Lewis Brinkov. He now has 12 points unbeaten. Davas has 10. Wow. We go for another favorite, Ben Clark. Off gate one. He has seven points. On gate two, no Woodhouse, who’s faltered a little bit the start of this meeting. He has four points. And from Barry on gate three, we have Reese Polllet. We have Matt Hill on gate four. This is Ben Clark’s chance. He needs to a Heat went off gate one and away. And he has not he has held. No wood out. I didn’t think he had then, but he streaks down the back straight. Woodhouse in second, Plet in third, Hill in fourth, and Clark looks fast tonight. He’s ridden this track many times as no Woodhouse has. He is a home rider. This is his home track. Hill is off at the back. Woodhouse is thinking about having a look at Ben Clark. Ben Clark’s looking over his left shoulder to say, is he going to have a go at me? We’re going into the last out. Here comes There comes Woodhouse. Clean pass. Clean pass by Woodhouse. Ben Clark manages to stay on the track after the pass, but it’s Woodhouse with the four points. And that’s another drop point. And Ben Clark is disappointed that he has dropped another point and especially off his gate one. those hands together. 13 Clash of the Titans. Clark on 10 points. Bass on gate two. He’s on 10 points. The fast starting for Rose Langu on the outside. And Lu to start off gate four. He’s gone around the outside and he leads down the back straight in front of David Bass and Ben Clark. Gate one is in third. And Ash Hill up the inside of his teammate from ISW. He’s relegated Ben Clark to last place. But it is for Rose Langu from Paul showing great tenacity and great speed. What a start that was. It is Ben Clark who is going to lose out. He is only going to score one point in this race and Langu if he can hold on from David Bass. Langu will go to 12 points after four rides and Ben Clark down to 11 and David Bass will be on 13. So that’s a winwin situation for Langu and Bass. Great ride. It’s a heat 14 and Josh Brook offgate one. He needs a win in this race to get his world title chances back on track. But he has Bennett Hill and Daniel Rob from Australia who looks for the inside for the drop. But no, it’s Brooke that leads down the back straight. Kenzie Bennett all over the bike. Matt Hill slides. Rob up the inside. Bennett up the inside of Josh Brook. And now Daniel Rob. What a race this is. Daniel Rob up the inside. And now Matt Hill up the inside. And Brooke is down the back straight. He’s off the bike and it is Daniel Roth now who’s into the lead with Matt Hill in second who slips and Bennett’s going to go up the inside of him. He drives on the inside, pushes him. Hill takes a big tumble. Bennett looks at the referee. He’s okay with that though. Referee Bob Prince says that that’s okay. You made the pass. Josh Brook is going to finish third now. Daniel Rob wins the race. He takes four points. Bennett three. Josh Brook two points onto the next race and the man on gate two Will Jeffrey he is on nine points and looking to steal some more points off of the inside gate rider Scott Milwood he makes the start clamps him on the line Poll into second Milwood third and Zack Payne from horse path in fourth place but it is his teammate Zack Payne’s teammate Will Jeffrey is streaking down the back straight on lap followed by Plet who’s going to secure three points. And here comes Zack Payne up on the grass. Gives a little bit of an elbow to Scott Milder who comes at him down the back straight. Little bit of a crash between those two. They’re having ding-dong battle. Zack Payne nearly off and into the safety fence, but it is Will Jeffrey that is solidifying his points tally. That will put him on to 13 points and in with a shout. We go on to heat 16, the clash of the titans. We have on gate one. We have the pole. Pavlaric and off the outside gate. Great Blakeham’s Lewis Brinkoff unbeaten. But we have a couple of riders on gates two and three are going to be spoilers in this one. You can tell movement. Was it gate one? Was it gate two? Looks like it’s no woodous has been excluded. He protests, but referee Bob Prince says, “You’re out.” That leaves three riders. Here we go again. So Derek makes the gate. Brinkov around the outside. Skowski up the inside of Brinkov. Brinkov checks, makes a perfect pass down the back straight and swats into second. This will do Brinkov. And this will do well as well. He looks comfortable speeding away down the back straight. Peak 16. This is going to be a win for the Polish lad. Brinkov is going to be the first points of the night. He’s going to drop, but he’s having a quick look, but he sits. I can you can tell he’s sitting as it comes to the checkered flag. There’s the post. Lad is really, really happy with that one. Brings top in second. Gowski in third. What our last few races we’re in for 81 17 gate one. If he wins this race, he will total 19 points and will be practically unassailable. It will only be Brinkov that can catch him. Plet puts him on the center degree. The referee blows his whistle and says we’ll have a rerun. Josh Brook was in the lead. Here we go again for the restart. Plet off of two. Hill off of gate three, but it’s for Derek who makes the start and holds Brook. Keeps him on his outside. He’s down the back straight. This will do nicely for the pole. The second Ashill and Reese Plet at the back. He’s going to have a couple more laps to get this done. He’s made a slip. Hooks around the outside. Is he going to make it? Yes, he does. He makes it round the outside. Oh, that’s an unfortunate slip for the pole, but it is Brook that has benefited in third. Plet at the back looks as though he’s hills up the inside. He’s driving. He’s jumped the curb. He’s off. He’s pushed for Darrick. Slarak has come off. The referee’s blown his whistle. Got a feeling that was on the last lap. This could be awarded by referee Bob Prince. Hill will be excluded for jumping the curb pushing onto the deck and it has been has been awarded. Josh Brook wins. Darrick finishes second and finishes on 18 points. So we go into heat number 18. Lewis Brinkoff gate two. All he needs to do is win this race and he will be world champion. Daniel Rob is going to have some say in it. He’s off of gate one, the Australian. Will Jeffrey is in with a shout. He’s on gate three, so he knows what he needs. Unfortunately, Ben Clark off gate four. Great start to the meeting, but has just slipped by the wayside as the heats have unfolded. But this is Brinkoff’s chance. He knows what he has to do. Win it and he’s world champion. Wait. And it’s Rob. Comes straight across. He gets the elbow into Brinkov. He spots into second. Will Jeffrey in third. Ben Clark at the back. It is Daniel Rob down the back. Straight into the home straight. Lap one. And he’s away. And this is going to be tough. Brinkov knows exactly what he needs to do. He’s got to pass him if he wants to be world champion. If he sits there, he’s going to be second. And that will be a runoff with the Polish rider battles. There’s Rob down the back straight. One lap to go as he comes off the fourth corner and he slips. Brinkov’s over him. Daniel Rob is down. Dana of the highest order. Oh my god. Daniel Rob says, “I’m sorry.” Yeah, made the mistake, but Brinkov is going to have a rerun and he is going to be off the inside gate. Well, what drama Brinkov? What must be going through his mind? Win this race on world champion and they’re away and it is Brinkov makes a great start. Jeffrey takes Ben Clark out wide. There is three or four bike lengths maybe five or six. And Brinkov streaks down the back straight. He’s had one lap. He’s going to be counting down these laps. every single pedal turn he will be thinking make no mistakes and I am world champion that’s two laps down Brinkoff is pving his way to a world championship win on his home track they are cheering him on he’s going to do this wow wow wow wow Louis Frank champion here you [Music] Fantastic scenes here. [Music] In second place and three points on the line, Will Jeffrey gets his total up to 16 and the third with two points which brings his total up to 30. So there we go. That’s the champion crowd for yourself down the order that we must as we go to heat now with running for gate number one. [Music] We have crowned our new world champion Lewis Brinkov. We go into heat 19. Three for Rose Langu. If he wins this, he can draw level with Will Jeffrey from Horse Path on 16 points and the start and the tapes are up and Langu goes rounds and he’s down the back straight into the lead and this will be fine for the pool rider up down and he streaks down the home straight. He’s got two bike lengths over the pole. Third place is Scott Milwood, but this is Frow’s Langu’s chance to put a stamp on this world championship. He’s not going to win it, but he is going to have a chance to have a runoff as he has drawn level on points with Will Jeffrey. And in heat 20, we have David Bass from Poland that could surpass these two. But if things go Langu’s way and Will Jeffy’s way, that could be a RA for them. We shall see. We head into heat 20. David Bass, he’s in this one. If he wins this, he will amass 17 points. And that will put him in third position to start. Woodhouse takes his front wheel away from him. He slots into third. Woodhouse is away. Zack Payne in second. And Bass is in a tragic third place. This is going to do him no favors. He needs to get past Zack Payne from horse path in second place to join Will Jeffrey and Rose Langu on 16 points. He’s pushing it. He’s trying hard. Woodhouse is away. Zack Payne is in second. Bass has made a mistake and he knows it’s all over. That means a runoff between Froz and Will Jeffrey of Horse Path on 16 points for the third position. Drama again. Wow. [Music] Here we go. There’s FZ Langu from Paul. He’s in the runoff for third position with this man Will Jeffrey. Both total 16 points. Going to do the coin toss. The ground view is called tails. The coin goes up in the air and it is ahead. Jeffrey gate two head. Okay. Third place. Neither of these have been in any kind of situation like this. Love to know what’s going through their minds. Brinkoff the winner. Scooak second. This is for third. and away and it’s Jeffrey holds his gate looks over his right shoulder susses out where for Rose Langu Langu is now going to have to attack from somewhere will he go inside will he go outside it’s a bit cagey to start with and now will Jeffrey has put the hammer down he says right I’m away I’m going to take this to the wire I’m going to go as fast as I can if you can catch me then you can have third place But this looks like Will Jeff into the last lap. Will Jeffrey horse is going to end up on the rostrom in this world final. He will join Lewis Brinkov the champion. And Babble Slidaric on the roster and he loves it. You have to feel sorry for Langu. He’s been a star in this meeting. Just as the curtain falls just come up short. place rider on the night. You did well in that run off. It was Will Jeffrey. 1. Kenzie exclusion – What he claims is true, if you look at the tapes, they move when he twitched. Understandable that he is excluded, you can't expect a ref to beleive that claim. But extremely unfortunate
