Nine thing I should have known or thought about before riding a hire bike in Kaldamyri, Greece
[Music] Yeah. Wow. Wow. So, things I wish I’d known before I set out on this ride. One, bring some cash with me, not just a card. Two, riding in trainers is is hard work. They got nice thick soles in, but they’re so flexible. I’m sort of losing a lot of energy um when I’m pedaling. Um three would have been nice to have one of my hats on underneath my helmet. stop the sweat getting into my eyes, the sun cream and sweat coming in getting into my eyes. But yes, number four. Why didn’t I bring a Garmin mount with me? One of those little tiny ones um just that goes on the on the um on the stem would have been so much easier and they don’t they don’t take up any space at all in the packing. Number five, um a set of cycling shoes really would have been handy, but um uh I didn’t really have uh room in the uh packing for that, so that would have been a luxury. But number six, I should have got a bottle from somewhere. I’m I’m riding with no water, so um I’m kind of relying on finding places like this and and hoping they’ll be um kind to me. Um anything else? Oh yeah, number seven. The I’m in Euroland, aren’t I? So, um the uh the brakes are on the wrong side, which hasn’t been a problem so far on the ascents, but I’ll have to um remember that on the descents back down. And remember, the left the left is the front brake. The left is the front brake. Okay. Oh, yeah. One more thing. A little tool kit would might been nice. Even just a a set of Allen keys. Not that anything’s wrong. Um but, uh you know, touchwood. Um, it’s all going okay so far. But yes, those were not complaints. They’re just points to note. I would much rather be here than whatever you’re doing today. All right, I’ll uh come back to you later.
