Hello! I currently ride a mountain bike and pull my son along behind in a bike trailer, but we rarely go out because the mountain bike is so uncomfortable for me and hurts my back. I love riding cruiser bikes, so I’m wanting to make the switch to that or something similar that has gears so that it would make pulling a trailer behind still possible. I talked to somebody else who seemed hesitant about cruiser bikes, but we’re only riding about 1-2 miles and staying in our neighborhood where it’s paved and flat when we go out.
I’m also considering buying a bike seat for my son to ride closer to me since I only have him right now, and putting the trailer in storage until we decide to have more kids, so that is something to consider as well. For reference my son is two years old, and about 25 pounds.
Here are the three I’m considering, but I’m open to other recommendations as well. I’d like to stay within a $300 budget since we’re just riding for fun! Thank you!
