uh from safaris to gorillas to the lakes to to hosting global international events like this. It’s an extremely safe country. I feel safer in Rwanda than I do in a lot of other countries in Europe and elsewhere in the world. So I think if you haven’t been here, come here immediately. Yeah, I hope it would be the best for the event when there would be a small group sprinting here like Pogach, Reno and Ausho would be great for the event when those three arrive together here and when wins party. Congratulations Confession [Music] [Music] Team trial zone. [Music] Confession center. [Music] [Music] How can you describe Kari? First of all, this city which is hosting the UCI 2025. Yeah, I since I live here and I have lived here for two years, I love it and I love the the spirit now during these days. It’s nice to see so much people outside and uh yeah uh first time in Africa, first time in Rwanda uh your expectations before this UCI and how it is going or it is being carried out. How can you say it? How can you describe this UCI for the first time in Africa? This is not my first time in Africa. I’ve I’ve lived in Africa for many for many many years. I’ve been I’ve been working in Rwanda on and off since 2012 with uh the first time for the world championships. Oh, for the world championships. I think it’s been very good. I I love cycling. I watch cycling. I’ve I’ve been to go and watch cycling events. We’ve been watching uh Swedish world champion gold medal in the men’s under 23 individual timet. We’ve been watching the training down by Kgali golf. I mean uh the circuit looks looks very good. It looks very tough. I think some of the hills are are very hard and and you add altitude. So I think we are impressed how well organized everything is. It’s very yeah as you said the the race and and everything seems to work very fine. Uh we have seen four days of this tournament uh and it’s quite impressive. So what can you say or what we should expect on Sunday on broad race which we’ll see Pogacha against Ramco against all those impressive players. What can you say or what do you expect to see on Sunday especially? I think I know more about cycling than my partner maybe I think uh I think it’s going to be a tough race between Pagatra and and Removal. I think maybe after the tour to France, you know, your form goes down. I hope it can come back up again, but I think it’ll be it’ll be a hard race and it’ll be decided on the uphills as it as it always is. You are not new in Rwanda, but you can help us and give a message to those people around the world who may not have any idea about Rwanda or may have some ideas but not enough. What message can you give to the what can you give to people or about Ronda? I think come to Rwanda and see for yourself. It’s such a beautiful country. The the scenery, the landscape, the people are so friendly. Uh so I think if you haven’t been here, come here immediately. Yeah. I agree with Maria. I think I’ve been here many times. It’s a beautiful country. There’s a lot to do. uh from safaris to gorillas to the lakes to to hosting uh global international events like this. It’s an extremely safe country. I feel safer in Rwanda than I do in a lot of other countries in Europe and elsewhere in the world. So, and it’s I think it’s a it’s a great example for Africa of what you can achieve. And I think for other African countries to aspire to what Rwanda has managed to achieve, it’s a really good example. So, come visit. [Music] We expect the world’s most That’s our financial Thank you so much. [Applause] Congratulations. Congratulations. Okay. Together. I’m locomotive on Instagram and other social medias. I’m a Belgian, so I’m here to support Ramco, even all other Belgian boys and girls and enjoy Rwanda because it’s an amazing country. Or what does Kegali or how does how can you compare Kari with other cities you’ve lived in? cuz this is not your first city you’ve lived in or traveled in. But how can you describe Kai? How can you compare it to other cities you’ve lived in? Number one. For Africa, I would say it’s very European. So, it’s a very modern city. It has everything you need. A bit more chaos than in Europe, but I like that. Uh it it’s a beautiful nice city to be. Everyone’s always smiling. everyone. So it’s at least as a tourist it’s very nice to be here. What’s been your favorite moment here? What’s been your favorite moment or the moment you you really liked since you are here since the time you arrived here in Rwanda? This time because it’s not my first time. Okay. The winning of Ramco Nepool and the cheering with my Rwanda girlfriend of it that I love the most. Okay. This is the first time Africa is uh holding or organizing the first UCI world championship and for the first time it’s happening in Rwanda. How can you describe this tournament which is taking place for the first time in Africa especially first time in Kari. I think Christoens a Belgium guy organizing the world championship and a friend of me uh said it very well in like when our events. I don’t work for them, but uh when his events in Europe and in Belgium would be organized like this, he wouldn’t have a job. So, it’s amazing how Rwanda has made this like it is. And it’s very lovely. Not not what I like a bit less is how hard they are in not crossing roads and so but I understand too because it’s the first time you have something like this here. But it’s amazing. It’s beautiful. It’s nice. It’s an amazing course both TT as the road races from tomorrow. So no, we will enjoy a lot. Um my last question will probably be this on Sunday. We’ve seen a bell doing what can be described as a historic thing. Uh Leno Evan Pwell did that did so great against Tad Pogachan and uh that was it. But people are saying that on Sunday we should expect sad to teach a big lesson to Leo Evan Evano Evan po. How can you say what can you tell us? You are a Belgian and you are not new to Leiko Evan po. So what can we expect from him on Sunday? Uh it’s for me quite clear that Pogachar is the big favorite without a doubt for Sunday but I don’t think he will be the difference that he made last year. I think Ramco is much better this year and I believe that Pogy will not be alone from Mont Kali to the finish line. So I hope please don’t uh but I will enjoy when it’s like that. Uh I hope it would be the best for the event when there would be a small group sprinting here like Pogach, Renco and Ausho would be great for the event when those three arrive together here and when Reno wins party. Uh do you think if uh Remo can actually win the race on Sunday, the road race on Sunday? Do you think he can? Yes, he can. But the question is will he? Okay.
