  1. Decent e-bikes should tolerate rain just fine. A DIY e-bike that’s not got weatherproof wire connectors is a different story. My Creo has been over its hubs in puddles and through massive downpours. I had to drain the water out of my wheels but the bike didn’t seem to mind.

I am lucky enough my work built a secure covered spot for workers that use bikes, i wouldn’t take bike to work otherwise, i basically live in north American capital of stolen bikes, granted its because we have a far higher rate of bike users, but still

  3. Yep. Rain cover. I also contact clean the connections and apply dielectric grease. If you open the side where the bottom bracket is, see if there’s a gasket. If not you could use the to make one to keep water out. I would contact mokwheel and ask then what the ipx rating is for your bike model.

  4. I park my ebike in the corner of a warehouse, so it doesn’t get rained on during the day. If I couldn’t park inside, I’d put a cover over it.

When I have a rainy ride, I get home and immediately wipe down my chain. I pull the battery off and pull everything out of my pannier so any intruding moisture can air dry. I have an air purifier that exhausts out the top, so I just put my wet helmet on that to dry.
