We finally visited Annecy, France… and wow, it’s officially one of our favourite places on Earth! 🇫🇷 From the electric atmosphere of Fête de la Musique 🎵 to the bustling Annecy market the next morning, every moment felt magical.

We wandered through stunning canals, explored the Old Town of Annecy, soaked up the lakeside beauty in Talloires, and discovered why Annecy is called the “Venice of the Alps.” This is truly one of the most beautiful towns in France and an absolute must-visit in the French Alps.

Cruise lovers like me are familiar with places like Venice, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Bruge. But not many people have heard of this place in France with its canals, its charm, its history, and its lakeside views. Welcome to Anacey. When you come to Anacey in France, this is what you expect. Beautiful canals, peace, and serenity. But when we arrive, we arrive to this This is Fate Music, a nationwide music festival held on the first day of summer. And boy, was it popular. The crowds flooded in. It wasn’t quite what we imagined, but Anesty still had plenty of surprises in store for us. So, come with us as we explore what might just be our new favorite place. So after we got over the surprise of the previous night, we woke up to this an amazing market. They literally had turned the entire town into a market. All the streets. It was phenomenal. So let’s go for a nose. [Music] It’s an amazing market, but it’s busy today because last night was a music festival. [Music] So this is really busy. So the market is on every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday year round from 7:00 in the morning until 1:00 lunchtime. And on a Tuesday, it focuses on produce, on food, all from the local area. [Music] [Music] There a canal. s everywhere. You can see why it is called the Venice of the Alps. [Music] Dave’s a little bit hot. So, this building here is probably the most photographed in all of Anacey. The Palad Liil, I think is how you pronounce it. It’s been a prison, a courthouse, and now it’s a museum. Look at its location. It is stunning. You won’t miss it. Gorgeous flowers everywhere. There’s a market on today. It’s an antique market which is on, I think, the last Friday of every month. It’s just lovely. This is lunchtime now, so we’re just going to go and have a stroll to the lake. Look how gorgeous it is. [Music] We ate we’ve eaten at a couple of these restaurants. Absolutely gorgeous. [Music] Look at the color of the water. We saw them vacuuming it the other night to keep it lovely and clean. It’s beautiful. Probably one of the most stunning places we’ve been. And I said that about Bavaria, but this place. Yeah. Stunning. [Music] So much activity on this lake. It’s absolutely amazing. We’re walking up to a beach. Here we all are. And the old town is back there. [Music] [Music] Just come from up there. We cross this. It’s a main road. Then it takes you over here to the lake where you can catch they have dinner dinner cruises. We were going to do one and I feel like we’re running out of time. Yeah, you can get evening dinner cruises here. Boat trips around the lake. This is a park. Stunning. We’re just going to go and eat a sandwich now. [Music] The family are going on a pedalo today. It cost €22 for an hour. We saw there was no sha shade whatsoever and it’s 33° today. So although it looks really beautiful, it’s really warm. So we decided we’re going to go for a wine in a restaurant instead. Off they go. Let’s go get some wine. Hi, Mom’s YouTube. We are currently on a paddle. [Music] That’s the harbor. Paddling. Maybe about 10 15 minutes. So, we have to handle it back. We paid £22 for one hour. So, this area is around about half an hour drive from Anace town itself. It’s on Lake Anace. It’s called Talwis. I think that’s how you pronounce it. It is absolutely stunning. We’ve just been and had a nice drink there. We had a meal up at the top part of there the other day which was stunning. They have toilets over there. Yeah, really lovely spot. [Music] So while you’re driving to Talwis from Anis the old town, you go past some beaches and they were really really busy. It’s worth driving further here cuz these are really quiet. [Music] You never find boooo chicken. All gone now. [Music] And on certain days of the week, you can hire paddle boards. I think it was Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesdays. [Music] I’m not going to get too close cuz it’s children. But they have a little sealed off area here where it’s shallower if you have children. [Music] This is about half past 9 at night. Not sure what this is, but it’s cool in the park area. [Music] The famous Pont Dear Bridge. This is pretty good Italian. Oh, wait. I think amazing. Oh, yeah. We’ve left it. Stunning area. Dave’s happy. [Music] The piece is ruined by my grandbaby. Daddy, look at the dog. Love it. This place is just stunning. [Music] We just loved going for a stroll after we had something to eat. It was just so lovely walking around in an evening. [Music] your whistle. And that’s it, guys. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you’ve enjoyed just having a little noisy into our trip to Anacey. It has so much to offer as does the whole region. We also did a trip to Shamine which is stunning and we spend a day in Geneva in Switzerland and I’ve got some videos on that if they’re not out already. They’re coming out really soon.
