Hi everyone,
I recently picked up a Peugeot PFN10 Legacy Edition in fairly good condition, apart from some rust spots and small paint chips. My plan was to restore it completely and eventually sell it because it’s to Small for me.
However, I just realized that the seatpost is really stuck. I already tried using a water pump plier but I think I don’t stand much of a chance this way. I’ve read that dry ice could help, but I don’t think I want to go down that road.
So now I’m wondering: would you recommend just cleaning up the paint a bit and removing the rust while leaving the seatpost as it is? Or should I cut the post and replace it with a new one so the height can be adjusted again? Or would you try to carefully remove the original post and reuse it?
I’d love to hear your advice and I really appreciate any tips!
