A tough climb for which you are rewarded with beautiful views, especially on a fine day such as this
The mast climb overlooks the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen in North East Wales. It's behind the now shut Ponderosa cafe and is probably more popular with MTB-ers but the climb is perfectly do-able on a gravel bike. The deacent is a bit sketchy mind, it's steep (17% at the top) with loose gravel, occasional mud and puddles and wandering sheep. Caution advised!
