I’ve always felt a pull to come visit Switzerland, and now I think I understand why. It’s like the mountains, the rivers, just like the vast landscape. It’s all very open and just feels kind of freeing in a way. I never thought I’d be traveling at this age. I always just predicted I would do it later in life.
But I guess the universe has its own plans and its own way of rerouting your life. I wonder if in this past year and a half, I’ve changed at all. I think about that a lot. My favorite part about traveling is just meeting other people. Because more often than not, the people I end up chatting to and connecting with are those on a similar journey.
I’m starting to see different aspects of myself through the people I meet, both good and bad traits, and I suppose that’s the biggest indication of growth and change is the ability to recognize that the outside world is a mirror into the inside world. There’s a lot more I could say on this, but I just think the way to sum it up is I’m starting to recognize my own flaws through the people I meet. And it goes the same way for my good qualities. I start to notice them when I admire traits that other people have. That saying that the eyes are a window into the soul, I think is a good way to sum all of this up, really.
Connecting with other people gives me the ability to connect more with myself and I guess remember who I was before the world shaped me. But, yeah, Switzerland’s an amazing place. I highly recommend everyone visiting it.
