How are Rexom making so much money but still posting losses? And how does this compare to other EFL sides? Let’s find out. Rexom’s latest accounts show that turnover more than doubled in their first season back in the EFL. However, the League 2 runners up were still 2.7 million in the red. So, what gives? Well, an increase in the wage bill as well as stadium upgrades on top of these things helps put these losses into context. something the club are confident won’t be repeated. Plus, a massive increase in sponsorship deals helped offset these costs with Welcome to Rexom making the club more attractive to blue chip sponsors. In fact, such as the global reach of the series, Rexom actually made more money abroad than in the UK, contributing to a turnover that outranked even these championship sides. Read Richard’s piece for the full breakdown.

  1. No the reason we still had losses because the club was paying back £15 million of debt to the owners, which the club decided to get out of the way instead of pay it over a certain amount of time.

  2. They will keep making more snd more. I won't be shocked if they're not a premier league mainstay within 10 years. That American market remains largely untapped, but because of their ownership duo they're into it and it'll stay that way

  3. Nobody from public & media say anything if those white American splashing cash in English Football, but if those brown investors from middle east spend money, media will say it's sports washing, money laundering, blood money, oil money, war criminal etc etc The level of hypocrisy & discrimination!!

  4. Im a stockport county fan, whilst we've had a nice boost in investment due to a local businessman, i cant help feeling that i would hate if this happened to my team. I've supported the club over 25 years and been down to the depths and ridden the highs, it's currently hard enough to buy tickets on match days from city & united fans coming to watch us, let alone irritating Americans daytripping hoping to see deadpool. Call me jealous if you wish, but i like my local team being for true fans.

  5. Wrexham are nothing but a team who buys titles, i hope they get promoted just for them to get slapped around by championship teams and go back to league one and stay there, they shouldn't even be in the English league

  6. Great video! Love having this little bit of insight thrown back towards a topic that has quieted down over the last few months. Was definitely curious. Thanks Chris!

  7. I don’t think anyone’s surprised Wrexham made more money commercially than Hull City since two of the biggest (mmm mibi one of the biggest and another one that’s a bit less cringe Mr Always Sunny) folk in Hollywood purchased the club and made a doc about it that was PUSHED to say the least 😂

  8. They also bought back the stadium and pitch and re payed outstanding debts. So even tough they report no profits, the net worth is going up since they are investing the revenue back into the club

  9. They were always going to post losses when establishing the infrastructure of the team, once they’re able to bring in a higher attendance money won’t be an issue
