5 km remaining that he can move up into a real challenge for victory. That’s not going to happen today. It’s all about the the victory on the stage as opposed to the overall general classification success dispensing any little bit of extra weight. A collector’s paradise. It’s a blizzard of bottles beat off rappers, all of which will be hoovered up by the cleaning up crews here. Real challenge for our motors to keep these riders in focus. Challenge for these riders to maintain the focus after 5 days and 170 km of racing at this point. And Sen Crow’s gone on the attack. Counter coming from the lead track squad. This uh an attack or just about setting a tempo. Think it’s more the former. Yeah, Sen Crow opening up a little bit of a gap and Rafa Micah just couldn’t quite hold the wheel there. Has that be was that an attack or was that needle track just a little bit concerned that perhaps Ben Healey might be a threat to Skill Moses second place? Second place. Yeah. Yeah. That’s that’s the reasoning now that you know Skilmore white jersey um second in the general classification wants to keep that and and Ben Healey just getting a little bit close to that situation. But it’s nice to see that Ben Hilly is is is trying to win the stage as well. Uh and and trying to you know work together with Greg because if you’re going for the German classification you just sit on the front and ride as hard as you can and at one point just about 5 minutes ago he seemed to be doing a little bit more of the work but now the two of them are contributing. It’ll be interesting to see how Ben Healey plays this one because if it comes to the finish, you you really have to think that Gregoire is the the quickest of of both of them, but Ben Healey is looking super strong in this race and and potentially can try and gap him on the run up towards the finishing line. Well, that’s a furious intensity about the work by Sen Kra Anderson on the front of the Pelaton here because he’s instantly taken 10 seconds off the advantage of our two out front. I suspect Denzel is going to be under pressure as well to try and hang out clear of this group very shortly. But yeah, they starting to finesse a little bit on the front. Gregoire with a a longer pull and we’re heading down towards this tricky little hairpin. Clearly trying to shake a little bit of life into those those hands. Yielding nature of these these bikes tends to create a lot of vibrations and sometimes a little bit of uh little bit of numbness. nicely dealt with there. That hair pin by Gregor and Bang Healey as they head down there towards the next tricky little group of turns and ultimately towards that 2 km to go point when the road starts to rise. So we’re very close to the Papaya bird which must be an appointment for an attack by Ben Healey and surely Roman Gregar knows about that. Yeah, he does. He does indeed. And I think Ben Hilly not taking into consideration that group made a big call today. They put the the whole team on the front. The rider in the breakaway. They put the team up to to ride. Pressure on Gregoire to deliver this one. Um Ben Haley, well he decided not to contribute there. So he’s just sitting in the wheel of Gregoire waiting to pounce. And I think when we come on to this uh climb, um he has to pick his moment. And we know Ben Hill is strong enough to to get rid of Gregoire. What is Gregoire got left? Yeah. Does he wait for the steepest part of the climb, which is not the very beginning of the climb? It’s in 10% average for those 800 moment. Yeah. You have to do it sooner than later. You have to use the steepest part to your advantage. If you get further up this climb, then you know this is starting to wind it up. Starting to wind it up. This is what he has to do. They post it against me more can dig deep to hang on. Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze from Ben Healey. Might look like it, but I think it probably does. It looks like he’s really It’s an intense moment, but does he have a little bit more to give when they reach that 15% point? Certainly a more intense contribution here from Healey than it was even the last lap round. Sort of Cra has dragged this one down to within 48 seconds approaching the climb. So, it’s a strong situation for Matias Moza to retain his second place overall and lead of the young rider classification to go with that. But will it be enough indeed for those riders to get into contention for stage honors? Here he goes again, sits down momentarily. They reach that particularly steep part of the climb. Gregoire looks like he’s in control of this one. Hasn’t looked as if he’s about to crack any moment soon. Brandon Mcnauti into position with that yellow jersey into the leading three four riders at the front of the group as Narv is on the wheel of uh looking pretty strongly indeed on the wheel of Sa and Cra here she in position as well. Caravas moving up Healey still out of the saddle still pushing Gregoire. No signs of cracking just yet. I think Gregoire looks good here. And up to crest the top of the climb. And Gregoire still there. And he’s going to launch an attack. Gregoire goes for glory. Will Healey be able to respond? Up and over the top. Healey slumps back into the saddle. A couple of back lengths open. Gregoire’s racing clear here. Gregoire has a little look over his shoulder and gets the signal to persevere with the effort. and he is racing clear to stage victory unless Healey can make something of this tricky little lefthander and that you’ve got to be so committed and he’s chasing but both riders clear and through without any difficulty proper pulls a foot out here she hits the front car in position not control here carropaz is there in scale mos but you know Gregoire is really good at this stage three. He was kind of found wanting a little bit. You have to feel for for Ben Healey here because Ben Healey he did what he had to do. Just didn’t have to the legs to crack Gregoire. And it was the opposite. Gregoire had the legs to deliver this one into the closing stages now for Roman Greg. What a week it’s been. What a couple of months it’s been. Pretty good year indeed. Ben Haley finding a rear guard action to get back on terms. And Gregoire just has a little bit of an advantage that allows him to take it as easily as he needs to do into the closing moments. And Gregoire through to the line. He sees that he is closing up and needs to continue a sprint all the way to the line as he does. And Roman Gregoire heading towards a second victory of the week. Neatly bookending his contribution in to Luxembourg. It’s glory for the second year in a row for the group squad and victory for Roman Gregoire on the fifth and final stage of tour Luxembourg. Ben Healey getting to within a few meters at the end but Roman Gregoire continuing the great form as the group has split significantly on the final ascent of the Paparberg behind but Brandon McNeli safely in there. Here she carropaz Mcneli skill mozza all safely in line of stern and heading towards the final bends to complete to the Luxembourg. No risk strategy through the final 300 m. She has the dubious honor of leading this one out. Carropaz available and McNelte up to take the final bonus seconds and further potentially extend his advantage on general classification. It’s been a commanding performance from the American man from Phoenix, Arizona. Not going to win the final sprint, but has won this race overall. Finished fourth on the day behind Tro. we get full confirmation of that.
