  1. Look at all these chumps unable to move while this guy just zips by. Who wakes up and thinks 'I need to travel through a dense metropolis. I better take the car!'

  2. This is stupid! What happens if one of those cars just opens a door? Maybe the driver wants to empty an ashtray. Or maybe the passenger is adjusting their seatbelt or throwing out garbage (this is New York, after all). And some drivers hate cyclists. So they could see the cyclist in the side mirror and deliberately open the door just to f*ck them up.
And that van that was turning left! The driver couldn't know the cyclist was even there. So they could have started forward and might have run the cyclist over or crushed them between bumpers.
I'm a cyclist. And ALL those things happen from time to time. This cyclist is a serious Darwin award contestant.

  3. Was normal day in Bangkok btw – back and forth to work and home. But I rode 115cc scooter. Was wondering why people slowly slither their cars when you can pierce through easily in a second. They make a problem themselves driving huge metal shell, especially ones who fit enormous space on the road driving alone – reason the traffic is so dense. The price they pay for a comfort hardly you can even call a comfort tbh. Car is a great vehicle, but only situationally and it won’t ruin your status once you show up outside it.

  4. I see why your steer bar has to be small! As a Dutch I can say, "thats not how we left New York".😂😂 But if you want to enjoy your ride, come over to The Netherlands one time. I think your chaine needs lubrication.😉

  5. I do this but on my rollerblades. It’s a terrible city for car drivers. You’re much better off with an electric scooter or the like. I go borough to borough under my own power.

  6. I worked across from that McDonald’s for 6 years, all the holland tunnel traffic at rush hour was insane. That said, I also two bad bike accidents looking down onto traffic, both were because people opened their doors trying to get out of an Uber and both not seeing it until it’s too late. Fun to watch on YT, mad dangerous IRL.

  7. If i ever go to nyc, im def gonna try cycling there because thats exactly how i ride here in the philippines but its not as fun since its so much more cramped, seems very fun when theres space

  8. I ride in this part of manhattan practically daily, the bike lanes are perfectly usable for even a novice rider. Now if you’re on the LES or Chinatown, I get it. Not as many bike lanes, but in Tribeca/Soho, you don’t need to be doing this dumb shit

  9. I have a GoPro what do I need for the GoPro to look forward like that because the harness vest i have is not working it looks downwards not forward
