We pick up her food at the pet shop (where she finds herself surrounded by cats!), then head into Brighton where I meet my son Scott who had a charity cycle ride from London.
We share a falafel, Bronte gets a cuddle, and we end the day quietly on the beach. Sometimes the smallest days mean the most.

[Music] [Music] Hey [Music] So, there’s a charity London to Brighton cycle ride and uh my son Scott is on it. So, we’ve come down to meet him. Right. So, I can see the bike riders have started to arrive. Let’s see where Scotty is. That’s hilarious. You got to laugh. I um I’ve been taking about I kid you not about an hour’s worth of footage of people coming in and each time it’s not him, I delete it. And then I’m talking to the security guy and I see someone cycling past with an Arsenal shirt on and it’s Scotty and I didn’t video it. [Music] Where’s Scotty? Where’s Scotty? [Music] Hello. Where’s Scotty? Hello, Brunty. Where’s Scotty? Look, it’s Scotty. Brunty, come here. Where’s Scotty? Look. A Hello, son. How are you? Well done. You know what? I’ve been videoing for so long to catch up. He has arrived. Easy. No, not really. Back. And of course, off for the obligatory flaffle stop. Bronty sees a flaffle ball on the floor there. That’s why she’s desperate to get down. [Music]

Great to see your son complete the London to Brighton, if that was me I'd of got a 100 yards found a coffee shop and sat and watch them all go by. Looks like a good time was had by all. I haven’t been able to get out on the bike today so I had a chill evening out in the garden listening to shortwave radio (my other passion). A bit of blue sky and sunshine works wonders for the mood, eh?
