Welcome back to my channel, it’s been a while!
Today’s video is a ride starting in Bury, Lancashire, and follows the former Bacop to Salford colliery railway up to Greenmount. I previously released a video of the Kirklees trail on a cold winter January morning as a 2x hyperlapse, but this time the late summer weather was excellent and the footage is captured in real time. However, this ride continues beyond Greenmount, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I follow Cycle Route 6 through a quiet residential area between Greenmount and Holcombe Brook, then head north and climb up Holcombe Old Road to join Moor Road over Holcombe Moor, ending up at a small landmark known as Robin Hoods Well. Overall elevation increase from start to finish is 231m (757 feet) although the undulating trail means the actual amount of climbing is greater than this. The route over the moor is challenging with some steep climbs and mixed terrain, it was a lot of fun ticking this off my personal wishlist!
I hope you enjoy the video, and would very much appreciate it if you can click the LIKE button if you did. Thank you 🙂

Great video, I much prefer them in realtime as I always slow the hyper lapse ones down but the quality does suffer for anyone interested in MTB and the routes you take why would you want to rush through them, the hub cafe at the end of the Kirklees trail is a great stop for a bite to eat and a drink 👍
