[Music] Ladies and gentlemen, [Music] [Music] Okay. [Music] Amazing. Hey guys, we are in Copenhagen. I’m running on a 20% battery. It is probably around 4 5 a.m. New York time. And we’re just waiting to check in our hotel. It’s not until 2 p.m. And right now, I think it’s 12:30. We’re just at this really cool building. As you can see, the noise that you hear is coming from Tiboli. It’s kind of like an OG Disneyland, I would say. Stop by a grocery store. Get some Swedish candies. This is the famous cola. M. Really good. It’s really cool thing. What else? I think that’s it. Ooh, a banana one. [Music] Oh my gosh. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Don’t be there. [Music] Hi everyone. I thought I would jump in here to do a voice over to explain a few things and walk you through some parts of the video. In case you don’t know, Copenhagen is 6 hours ahead of New York City, so east coast in the US with the jet lag and the time change. Waking up early didn’t feel too hard for some reason because I had been anticipating this trip for so long. I was so excited. So, I felt like I had to be out there going and doing things, making the best out of my time here. Luckily, we were so blessed with such nice, warm, and sunny weather most days. On our first full day in Copenhagen, we had to take the bus from our hotel to Lil Bakery because there was no direct train. Biking was another better option, but we didn’t figure it out until later on in the day. But anyways, Labankina was the spot that’s recommended to me by so many of you. It’s a cafe, a wine bar with a swimming dock. And it’s honestly so cool to see so many people, locals, who come here in the morning enjoying their breakfast. Having a very slow start to the day, some people would jump in taking a dip in the cold water. At this point, I’m pretty sure if you are a fellow food lover, you would know of or have heard of NMA, the restaurant in Copenhagen. NMA is world’s famous three Michelin star restaurant from Chef Renee Red Zeppi. Opened in 2003. Even though securing a table here can be a challenging task, you can now be able to take home some products produced from their test kitchen and fermentation lab. We happened to be there when they had the summer popup. It’s called the NMA projects. So, do you have any allergies? Uh, started Well, it all started in the test kitchen and fermentation lab. Then eventually made it to the menu at the entrance. You can’t get more Danish than this. It’s a Danish organic apples. The peppery as you can see. Is it spicy or No, it’s not spicy. It’s black pepper that we use. And the black pepper is koo and katubushi. And then we um we add a bit of mushroom garum. We add a bit of menu. It’s just with a bit of parsley oil. And we were the first ones to get to do the tasting right when they first opened for the day. Think things such as Nordic soy sauce, elder flour piso, pepper tamari, wild rose vinegar, and corn zuzu hot sauce. These are versatile products that are made from local seasonal and forage ingredients from the Scandinavian region. Since we had limits on our luggage space and weight, we only bought a cup of coffee and some merch for gifts. Then we decided to keep walking, heading over to the Oprah House, mainly to take in the views along the harbor, and it was breathtaking. [Music] [Music] After being back and forth for a couple of times, we decided to download the Donkey Republic app. It’s the biking service, those orange bikes that you would see pretty much everywhere in Copenhagen. It’s so easy to get around with a bike from point A to point B just within 15 minutes. You can hop on, hop off, but make sure to lock the bike and return it at their designated station said on the app. What’s nice about it is that you can rent it for again 15 minutes, 1 hour, or an entire day. Their customer service is pretty great at responding, so I would recommend Donkey Republic when you’re in Copenhagen. [Music] Here’s a fun fact. My friends and family know this about me that I’ve always loved biking. Besides the Copenhagen fashion, design, art, architecture, and inventive food scene, the reason why I love the city so much is because it’s one of the most bike friendly cities in the world with safe infrastructure built for bikes. Biking offers a fast, convenient, and efficient way to experience a city, and everyone here does it. My favorite part has got to be when it’s in the morning or afternoon rush hour when the locals are rushing to and from school and work. If you’re less of an experienced biker, do avoid those hours. Again, I would recommend reading some local rules about biking first if you’re unsure. I had so much fun and felt safe the entire time. [Music] And this is beet juice cuz it’s a juice. Oh jeez. Hope you’re good. [Music] Wut. Wow. [Music] I think I’ve mentioned about this many times that I have been a longtime fan of the Scandi design philosophy with neutral tones, warm textures, and simple silhouettes. I also love their bold use of colors and admire how they all make that Scandi style look so cool, consistent, and effortless yet minimal at the same time. When it comes to shopping, Copenhagen offers diverse options ranging from designer boutiques, department stores, carefully curated vintage shops, and experimental concept spaces. I would say on a very similar yet different level or scale than what New York City has to offer. Both are worth it to experience it for yourself. Hence this trip. This entire trip feels like my social media feed or my for you page come to life. It’s fulfilled so many of my childhood dreams and even adult bucket list items. And I had such an amazing time. [Music] [Music] Just one [Music] definitely. Ladies [Music] [Music] and gentlemen, [Music] Oh my god. [Music] the cartoon houses. [Music] Get out. [Music] I don’t want Anything cold? [Music] I’m terrible with pronouncing all of these Danish words and names. I’m just going to put subtitle. But yeah, when I’m with people, I can’t speak or it’s just really weird to like talk to the camera because people here are very conscious like they will have a knowing. It’s okay to take photo of food and things but not the people or the staff and people will stop in the middle of the street so that you’re done with the photo. So I am very mindful of putting up my camera, taking photos of people as always and I’m like extra conscious here. But yeah, so beautiful. It’s like literally the perfect city for me. Everything, every corner is like so aesthetic and cannot stop taking photos. But yeah, this is the city center. We need 45 minutes. New York will be like They can’t That’s another [Music] Nice. [Music] [Music] and radishes. and brown butter sauce with dry elic papers, lemon and anchovies. Get out. I am not sweet. for you. [Music] Hey [Music] [Music] What the heck? [Music] [Music] [Music] I don’t know. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey. Hey. Hey. [Music] [Music] What is this? [Music] I feel like music. [Music] [Music] [Music] I never will be upstairs. [Music] Hey guys, checking in. Today’s day three. We are heading back to Central Popigan. We somehow made it up to the Marine Time Museum of Denmark. There’s really not much to see here. I was expecting to see some really cool architecture, but it looks like it’s kind of run down a little bit. It’s nice and quiet and we’re by the water. There’s a huge castle, some really cool boats. But yeah, we’re hungry. We are going to head back, get some food, and then continue our adventure in Copenhagen. Tomorrow, I have a friend who’s coming in. She will join us for this last day in Copenhagen, in Stockholm, and a couple days in Amsterdam. And then she will leave early and then we’ll fly back to Copenhagen Friday morning and then catch her flight back to New York on Friday. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Just had the best chicken sandwich ever at le finally. Thought that we were a bit too late because we went the other day and it was sold out. We’re just going to walk around. We’re going to get on a bike and bike through a few parks and explore some other neighborhoods when there are still light. There’s a lot of locals here. There’s a lot of bars. Great people watching. [Music] Okay. Start after the app. Beautiful. And you just go up and then you talk it again. [Music] [Applause] On day four, which was our last full day in Copenhagen, there was a sudden heavy downpour in the morning, so we had to purchase some umbrellas from our hotel. No, they weren’t free. Water wasn’t free either. You can read my newsletter where I shared my review about this hotel in Copenhagen linked below. But anyways, we decided to hop on a bus and head north to visit a famous church known for its architecture. I would highly recommend making the track there if you have about 2 hours and want to get out of the city on your third or fourth day in Copenhagen. [Music] We had some quick breakfast at a really cute cafe called Amur and visited a furniture and design studio called Studio Oliver Gustaf. It’s a local recommendation from a sale associate that we met on the first day. [Music] [Music] All [Music] [Music] right. [Music] At noon, I had a friend who came to join us for this last day in Copenhagen, the Stockholm portion, and a day in Amsterdam. So, we met up with her back at our hotel before heading out for a late lunch. 20 bucks. [Music] Yep. That’s Hey guys, day four in Copenhagen. I have a friend that just joined us. Uh we just had a tellier September. Had a little brunch spread. Right now I’m just walking at the Royal Palace. It’s called Amalene War. I think around noon you can be able to watch the change of guard. It’s so nice and quiet here. It got sunny a little bit, but it rained so hard this morning. We went to the church this morning. It was really beautiful and picked up some stuff at Tla. Right now, we are just taking in our last few hours here in Copenhagen. And then tomorrow we are going to take the train over to Stockholm. It’s all I’m not with my friends jetlag and us being on our feet constantly for the past couple of days. We all felt like taking a power nap. So, we bought back to our hotel and did exactly that after doing all of the exploring the essential sightseeing and shopping. I also had to pick up some things from the Techlas store. So, it was nice to be back to the same area. For dinner, we stayed around the Meatacking District. It’s only 10 15 minutes walk from our hotel and it’s known for having a pretty good night life. Guys, look at the sky. Sunset. Look at how many people are here. Indeed, it was buzzing on a Friday night. We ate a delicious dinner at a pretty popular seafood restaurant called Kubuen Fist Bar, had ice cream at Ismait, and went back to our hotel to sleep early since we had to catch an early train to Stockholm the next day. They’re stuffed with a pasta puree made with some lemon as well. The light green one is made from here. [Music] If you subscribe to my Substack newsletter, Ants list, you would know that I also share this exact itinerary on there, but in a written form. Again, don’t forget to subscribe so that you won’t miss my next upload. Stay tuned for part two for Stockholm and Amsterdam. Take care and thank you so much for watching. Bye.
