My Dad bought this bike new in 1983 I think. I started riding it in 2014 after the bike I had at the time got totaled in a dooring incident. I got my first car just a couple years ago at age 32, so my bicycle was my main mode of transportation for most of my life. I used this bike to run errands, transport groceries and supplies, commute to work, and I even used it to deliver food full time for Uber Eats for a year and a half(about 45 miles a day in Chicago). And for pleasure, I explored every major bike trail in the Chicago land area several times over. Tons of 40 mile rides, a few 50/60/70 mile rides, two 100 mile rides, and one 200 mile two day camping adventure. I really miss not having a car and relying on my bicycle, but as life goes on it makes demands of you that are increasingly difficult to ignore.
