60kms not bad with 8% battery left. Windy ride, headwind back down. 760 metres of elevation gained, so not a flat ride. 40mm Maxxis Ravager and Rambler combo with a tubeless setup and 50psi, not lightweight, fast-rolling tyres. Good for gravel but a bit sluggish on tarmac. A couple of kilos of tools, water, and food. All in all, impressed.

Who was Guto?
Guto Nyth Brân was born 1700, died 1737, after beating a challenger in a running race, called Prince by covering a distance of 12 miles in 53 minutes.
As he crossed the line, legend has it his girlfriend Siân Aw Shop gave him a congratulatory slap on the back which took the last breath out of him, and he fell to his death at her feet. The cause of death was a misplaced heart.

What’s the mystery runners? Usually they have a runner that runs from the churchyard with a torch. They run to Min beacon in Min. Oh, wow. Then later we have a fire destroy. But there’s road races this and you can run from here to Potter and back before the kettle boy. Oh my god. Yeah, that’s a great story that the road coming in from the car park. Ah, yeah. And if you go through this path which is meanders, there’s a waterfall down there, right? That’s where I went a couple of weeks ago. Yeah. Amazing that waterfall. It shows Yeah. So, back to Cardiff. 47% of battery. Well, three Welsh cakes to eat on the way back. So, yeah, let’s get on with it. So, uh Bin Vinon Pub. I’m going to go this way. Yeah, we’ll follow this undulating forest road and this will come out where I used to live as a child. Has started to spit rain a bit. Look at this road. Nice bit of tarmac there. Take this back into ponte. Very nice. Yeah, my guard is rattling away. That definitely needs adjusting now. See, we still got Sanano here. Look, you see, we’re still not out of the forest. It’s a big area. It’s a big forest. And now I got the wind mics on, so it’s going to sound awful the audio. Look at that for a bit of tarmac. How about it? It’s all downhill now. Battery’s on 42%. I’ve turned the assistance off as well. Look at that. See back at the forest up there. That’s where I was earlier. Now we’re in the sort the lower part of the forest, the most southern part. Hendra Reese St. Gueno Forest. Wow. Still on a climb in eco mode, but I’m on 40% battery. It’s had a literally about 10 seconds in level three then on that climb. Just towards the top. My legs were starting to feel it. We are going to be dropping down through Brywen very shortly. Those power lines dropping down into that valley. Over on the other side there is Barry Sidings. Won’t be doing the mountain biking over there though. Cycle route 47. Um, yeah. I mean, this a valid little cycle route this. Right. This is Gwen. Let’s look for White Rock Avenue, shall we? Where I used to live. To live up to the age of about three. White Rock Avenue. Can’t remember the number, but it was a like a bungalow. So, I’m going to ride up here. Remember it. Look how close I would have been. They’ve been in San Juano. So I think it was one of these houses along here. I would never remember the number, but it was like one of these little step down the roof leveled with the road. So it very well must have been one of these. And then I know my brother got knocked over on a junction not far from the actual uh house down here. So, let’s have a look. Junction. So, I think that’s where my brother was bumped. A car was coming around here and he got bumped and we must have lived up there. My mom having to push me and my brother in the double buggy up here. Woo. Oh, it is very steep. I can’t hold the camera and ride the bike. But yeah, that’s that’s steep. That’s steep. But yeah, great views of Pontter Pre from up here all the way down all the way down to um G Mountain on a clear day. And I remember this bit here. I remember this. Bikes, buses, and taxis. Still not a fantastic feeling though riding on the road. I’m back at Halard Park. I’ve come down from there. Look, always look for my own surname. Got quite a few. Uh Charles Harris, Evan Harris, FC Harris, Herbert Harris, John Harris, Robert Harris, William Harris. Yeah, that’s coming off the tree here. Big sign of autumn. Be collecting the compass soon. to where we are. Cardiff 12 mi. Gaffili 8 miles forest only 3/4 of a mile away. And up there, Grywen and further back, Cam Mono. What a ride. Cross over the A470. on this bridge. It’s very busy down there. Actually, it’s not that busy. You can tell a lot of people have uh opted to stay at home cuz of the weather. It’s where gray and drizzly tough trail which I’ll follow down now back into Cardiff. Duck your head. Bit more head room on this one. Enough for a steam locomotive. Oh, defin this way. Ah, I’m on N Garu Hill. So, waiting for this to change. We’ll get in here now. Get onto the uh Penrose cutting and then down the tap trail. Great. Here we are. The Philly up that way. Penel’s cut in. And then we’re down this way for trail god. He’s doing my heading. The white ring is no assistance which is shown on the screen. Uh, it says there mode off. So, going to try and conserve the battery. [Music] So, we’re back on my sort of midweek loop now. [Music] Yeeha. I’m back. Back in Cardiff after quite a big ride for me. I’m at now. Back home and I’m down to 19%. [Applause] Got this flashing red light, 13% of battery. Uh, it’s a climb as well. I’m just going to try and do it in eco. Heart rate 141. Total calories burnt 2,63. Elevation 705 so far. Still got another climb. Yep. 60k mark. 8% of battery.
