Weser – Ufer – Urlaub! Ein Stellplatz direkt an der Weser – auch für XXL Wohnmobile.

Der Wohnmobilstellplatz Weser-Ufer-Urlaub bietet 20 Stellplätze zu einem Preis von 20 EUR.
Die Bezahlung erfolgt an der Schranke. Der Platz ist von Anfang April bis Ende Oktober geöffnet, und die Anreise ist bis 24 Uhr möglich. Der Stellplatz befindet sich außerhalb der Ortschaft, an der Weser. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind fußläufig erreichbar. Der Platz ist für Reisemobile angelegt und besteht aus Wiese und Schotter. WLAN ist nicht verfügbar. Hunde sind erlaubt und der Platz wird videoüberwacht. Picknick-Bereiche sind vorhanden und Grillen ist mit Gas, Kohle oder Elektro erlaubt. Ein Bootsslip ist ebenfalls verfügbar. Wasser kostet 1 EUR pro 100 Liter und Strom 1 EUR pro kWh, während die Entsorgung von Grauwasser und Kassettentoiletten inklusive ist. WC und Duschen sind nicht vorhanden. Ein Freibad steht zur Verfügung, und in der Umgebung gibt es Möglichkeiten zum Angeln, einen Hafen/Marina, ein Naturschutzgebiet sowie ausgewiesene Wander- und Fahrradwege. Die Anfahrt erfolgt über die Werderstraße am Bootshafen vorbei bis zum Ende der Schotterstraße. Die Fahrspuren innerhalb der Parzellen sind geschottert, so dass sie bei jedem Wetter befahrbar sind. Der Wohnmobilstellplatz wird mit einem Kassenautomaten und einer Schranke betrieben, deshalb sind Reservierungen technisch bedingt leider nicht möglich. Wir bitten um Verständnis, dass Wohnwagen auf unserem Wohnmobilstellplatz leider nicht gestattet sind.

We’re off to the Weser. There’s a relatively new campsite near Nienburg. I’d like to introduce it to you in this video. Welcome! The campsite is south of Bremen, and we’ve driven about 130 kilometers to get there. It’s the beginning of July. It’s Monday – and as you can see: it’s raining. We’ve driven through several small towns and are now on the direct access road to the campsite. The campsite is right on the Weser, and the access road is relatively narrow – but easy to drive on. There are two campsites here, not far apart. Here comes the first one, on the left: there’s a campsite next to a marina – but that’s not the one I mean. We don’t want to use it. So we keep driving until the road finally ends – then it’s no longer a road, but more of a path. And that’s exactly where the campsite is. Of course, the whole thing doesn’t look very inviting in rainy weather, but that’s just the way it is. Sunny days are sure to come again – and then I’ll take new photos, and then everything will look completely different. Here in the front left we can see the small house with the pay station. You register there – and then the barrier opens. I’ll show you exactly how that works later. But what you can see right away: There’s enough space even for large mobile homes, and the pitches are very spacious. We saw the first patches of blue in the sky and hoped the sun would shine through again. And that’s exactly what happened: In the late afternoon the sun came out, and we had a beautiful view of the Weser. Then in the early evening there was a knock on our mobile home. We had a nice chat with the owner’s father. He brought us a small welcome schnapps – on behalf of the “real boss”, as he put it . It seems to be a tradition here.
If I understood correctly, the senior boss brings the campers a small schnapps every Monday early evening as a welcome greeting. The next morning: The sun woke us, the site continued to fill up, and the temperature was pleasant. Now you can see how spacious the plots are and how much space there is between the vehicles. I also installed an additional solar panel. In the summer months, I don’t need any external power, meaning no electricity from the socket. The 570 watt peak on the roof and the additional module are enough. However, we do use quite a lot of electricity – because of the computer and other devices. There are plenty of power poles here, though. Electricity is not included in the site fee; it must be paid for separately. From every pitch, you have a view of the Weser River. You can also sit in one of the beach chairs and watch the boats go by. We also met the couple who run the site. Both are RV drivers themselves, had already seen our videos , and were very happy that we had visited the site. They were happy to answer a few of our questions. Hartmut and Rita, the owners, gave us a warm welcome. Janine introduces herself: “I’m Janine, and this is my husband Jörn. We run the Weserufer Urlaub RV park together.” How did it all come about? “We bought this land 20 years ago and use it for farming. While we were working the land, we were always struck by how beautiful it is. As a family, we talked about how we should actually do something other than grow rapeseed and wheat. At some point, Janine came up with the idea that we should buy a RV – and then the idea of our own campsite was born.” They continue: “We then asked my father if he would lend us the land. His first words were: ‘You can do it – sounds like a crazy idea, but I don’t want anything to do with it.’ And yet, he has supported us fully from the very beginning. Today, he’s here every day, helping with mowing the lawn, speaks to the guests – and even distributes schnapps. He’s very pleased that everything’s gone so well.” How many pitches are there? “We have 20 pitches – all in the front row, right on the Weser. The pitches extend right to the water, so you can sit right on the bank.” On the location: “We’re here in Mehlbergen, between Nienburg and Hoya, almost exactly between Hanover and Bremen. The nearest motorway is about 40 to 60 kilometers away in any direction . We don’t see that as a disadvantage, but rather as a strength, because it’s incredibly quiet here – no roads, no railway lines, no through traffic. We’re located in a cul-de-sac in a nature reserve.” Is there a winter season? “Unfortunately not – we’re located in a floodplain. Our season runs from April 1 to October 31.” Can you make reservations? “Not yet – but in two to three weeks you’ll be able to see online how many pitches are available. This helps avoid unnecessary journeys.” Why a cashless checkout system? “Primarily for security reasons – no cash means less risk of break-ins. Furthermore, the system runs independently – we don’t have to be on-site all the time, which also preserves the peace and quiet on the site.” Prices? “€20 per 24 hours – the machine can only bill by the day. Electricity and water are charged separately according to usage. You load credit onto a guest card, and anything unused is refunded. The €5 deposit for the card is also returned upon departure.” The operators emphasize: “You can really have a vacation here – with privacy, space for barbecues, sunbathing, or playing with the dog. Guests appreciate this idyllic setting and tranquility – and many return again and again.” There’s also plenty to discover in the surrounding area: The Weser Cycle Path runs right by the site – in about eight to nine kilometers, you’ll be in Nienburg. There’s a historic old town and, they say, Europe’s most beautiful weekly market. “There are cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, a water park, fishing opportunities, SUP access, and dogs are very welcome here,” Janine continues. The site also has a bar – open Thursday to Sunday from 4 p.m. “We offer cold drinks, many types of ice cream – including spaghetti ice cream from an Italian ice cream parlor – and various types of tarte flambée.” We treated ourselves to a tarte flambée and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon by the water. Here, you meet not only campers, but also many cyclists on the Weser Cycle Path who like to take a break. We spent a total of four days at the “Weserufer Urlaub” campsite. We particularly liked the spacious pitches and the great location right on the Weser River. A beautiful place where you can chat with other campers and relax. That’s it again.
