So I’ll try to keep this short and succinct. I recently bought a canyon aeroad and as I was cleaning off the bike today I noticed a small area where the paint was risen above the rest near the seat post which looked like a “flake” meaning this spot wasn’t flush like everywhere else. I didn’t think much of it because the bike was still all painted without any blemishes except for here and it wasn’t until now that I noticed it. I took a microfiber cloth to do a once over on the bike to get dirt etc off and when I was finished I noticed that this “flake” completely came off. In hindsight I’m not surprised since the microfiber clothes tend to pull any debris with them. I’m within my 30 day period and have yet to reach out to canyon which I intend to do tomorrow. Do you think I should send the bike back for a replacement or do you think I should try to get compensated and hopefully touch up paint for the spot? I’m just worried about the surrounding area to start chipping apart as well. Thanks.
